There’s a Senate inquiry into the worsening rental crisis!
Thanks to the Greens you can now write a submission to a committee inquiry into how the rental crisis is affecting you and your community, provide evidence, and shape the reports that’ll be given to the National Cabinet in September and November to suggest how they can address the rental crisis.
This is super important! The information that YOU give to this inquiry will inform both the state and federal government about just how dire the situation is and help it understand how it needs to do more to fix the rental crisis in Australia.
So share - and don’t forget to click here to submit BY 28 JULY!!!

Quoigenic is "ok but like we're somewhat traumage-" "ok but like only in the neurodivergent way so neuroge-" "uhhhh NeuroTrauma???" "We're probably just endo..." "agenic bc I give up" "BUT we happened somehow right??? Ah??" and finally "ok yeah we're just qouigenic"
Finally. Some peace.
I'm happy for you!!! Relatable struggle to us!

The 2023 Gender Census is now open!
[ Link to survey ]
The 10th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 9th May 2023.
It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.
Tumblr media
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful - it’s what helped us get 40,000 responses last year.
Survey URL: https://survey.gendercensus.com
The survey is open to anyone anywhere who speaks English and feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.
For the curious, you can also spy on some graphs and demographic data for the incoming responses here.
Thank you so much!

Quoigenic culture is not worrying too much about your system's origins. We're all here now, why does it matter where we came from?

Quoigenic culture is just wanting to vibe with your headmates without worrying too much about where the system itself came from.

The non-simplified version by the same person looks different enough. It's not as nice in my opinion but it still works a lot better than getting confused with the aroace flag
(at least until someone comes along and designs one that doesn't resemble another flag and still looks nice)
I tried looking into it and I found a quoigenic symbol some people made on pluralpedia that looks good so I'll probably use that instead!

Quoigenic culture is refusing to explore your origins beyond traumagenic and just saying you’re that because you’re scared of the exclusionists. (Pretty sure we’re at least trauma/aethergenic but also don’t know if we care???)
Tbh, probably on brand for this blog, but people make far too much a big deal on whether you have trauma or not. Our system is traumaendo or whatever the term was and like. We've learned a lot from both communities and it's a shame people want to set us against each other because you have people like us who blur the lines and make it difficult to really say. Ultimately we have a foot in each community but I wish people were more generally aware of how we are.

Not the anon from Feb 28th and I know that ask was from months ago, but the Quoigenic flag does look a lot like the aroace flag to the point where I thought his blog was actually an aroace blog just from the icon and username. Our system has a lot of aro- and ace-spec members so we can recognize the flag pretty easily, and the similarities are almost identical aside from the Quoigenic flag being just slightly duller.
That's fair the flags do look a bit similar I think. We're aspec and while we're generally closer to aroace than alloallo so we don't usually see that flag a lot. If somebody can send a suggestion for what to change it I can make sure I use the best flag! Thank you for that though.

What does quiogenic mean?
From pluralpedia: "Quoigenic is an origin term that means the user does not want to share their origins, does not think it's relevant, or thinks it's the wrong question to ask." - https://pluralpedia.org/w/Quoigenic I hope this helps!

Hello! I’m trying to understand the different types of systems and how syscourse works, I’m not exactly a newer system but I’ve avoided this stuff up until now and the tags are a lot of anger and stress projected at one another, is there a carrd for the different types of systems (traumagenic, endogenic, etc.) that I can look into for insight? Or at least a post of some sort explaining it all in an unbiased way. Thank you so much and I hope you all have a great day!
Sorry for the very late response! Did you ever get the information you needed?! Also I'm gonna pass this to my followers because I don't know any offhand, but to me it always seemed that a lot of the arguments are about whether endos are valid, which kinda makes the hate a lot less possible to put on equal standing, when one group wishes to get the other to stop publicly existing it seems to me. That being said we are also traumagenic as a system and I support traumagenic and endogenic systems on this blog!

so a funny story. the quoigenic flag you're using is made by a really shitty system but it also looks a lot like the aroace flag and when that aroace flag became more commonly used I accidentally blocked a lot of people because I thought they were using the quoigenic flag made by the shitty system. I was also looking up the flag just to made sure I had the right system and it's insanely funny to me that they aren't even the labels they're using and are trying to make community meanings
Sorry just saw another ask about this, do you have more information on this? Just curious!

also I wish this quoigenic flag wasn't made by such a shitty system. I feel like all flags either trigger sensory overload or are made by bad or uncomfortable systems who most of the time aren't even in the community they're trying to make a flag for.
Is there a flag I should use instead? I hadn't heard about this!

Quoigenic culture is you and your headmates having radically different ideas about how the system/certain headmates formed ranging from ‘traumagenic’ to ‘paragenic’ to ‘demonic possession’ /lh
