welcome to tumblr ! (even tho i also just joined too lol) i was wondering what drew you in to study psychology as a major ? and do you find yourself applying what you learnt in class/school whenever you watch the show ? cause thats rly² cool and i cant wait to hear a psych major yap about the series :D !!

that’s such a great question! i first knew i wanted to major in psychology when i was a sophomore in highschool. my whole life i have been very emotionally intelligent and aware of my own feelings, and i realized i could use that to help others understand their own emotions. i also like being able to (somewhat) read people and be able to communicate with them in the most effective way! i’m pretty observant irl, so it’s easy to make mental notes of others’ in order to see some underlying traits in the people i let close to me in my life!! it just makes me feel much better to know how best to help people and offer advice or a shoulder to cry on!!

i DEFINITELY apply psychological concepts to everything i do, whether it be meeting new people, watching shows and movies, or just existing in the world! one of the main things that drew me in to watching this show for the first time was the complexities of these characters and how each and every one of them are flawed and deep. for example, matt is a CATHOLIC LAWYER who wears a mask and beats ppl up…like that has my name all over it…

and don’t even get me started on frank and dex.

but yess!! a psych major with a criminology minor and a film background is a recipe for disaster, however here i am. alive (and well?)!!!

i cannot wait to be able to embrace this acc as soon as i get through the week…(a 30 min crim presentation and a psych exam within 2 days is NOT for the weak!!) and i can’t wait to drop film + psych terms on all yall. yall ain’t ready!!!

and also side note: how insane is it that matt is dating a therapist like that is SO self insert of me. i still can’t wrap my head around it i think it’s hilarious.
