I don't always know what I'm drawing or why. I think this thing is closest to a visualization of some subconscious imagery of the oc — or maybe I was simply inspired by how hookahs resemble balusters, and therefore are visually appealing.

Finally, I’ve managed to put together at least four quick drawings that I can combine into a single post.
I couldn’t find peace, so I ended up drawing some nice post-canon art. I’ve been thinking a lot about what an alternate ending to the FF might look like. It’s always really hard for me to step outside the boundaries of the original story—if the author decided the fate of their characters that way, then that must be the one true outcome. Those are the kinds of walls I have in my head. But after all these months, it would be strange not to at least try to cross them. After all, I’ve allowed myself to read fanfiction and enjoy it.
There’s something you probably don’t know about me: for many decades, I’ve had my own universe full of oc with long, complex stories — and I’m that kind of author-villain who torments their own creations. I have a built-in flaw: I can only come up with sad stories and somehow take pleasure in the pain they bring me. Over the past few years, my friend — who’s deeply immersed in the material — has saved many of the characters she grew attached to from my clutches. But I myself am almost incapable of doing that.
Why am I rambling about all this? Because I struggled so much trying to comfort myself with nice post-canon thoughts, doing my best not to let all the sad and painful stuff sneak into the tender scenes. My mind is my enemy.

And the other pages of the travel sketchbook I drew at an art market, at a contemporary art fair, and during a completely awful, mandatory eight-hour business training my university decided to organize for some reason
One convenient thing about this sketchbook is that I sew the pages into it after they’re finished. I just take along folded sheets made from paper scraps, and later I stitch them into the main body of the book.

My travel sketchbook
I used to take it to lectures to keep my hands busy. I don’t have lectures anymore, so now I fill it much more slowly. Now it has sketches from trips or from events where I have to sit still for a long time. There are pages from last year’s train rides, my OC and some early Fool sketches from December

Your art is so magical and beautiful!! I would pay for a Realm of the Elderlings art book in your style. I love looking at all the details you give the clothing and jewelry. I'm in awe of how you can capture the soft, romantic moments AND the intense, painful moments. I also really love to see your original character designs!

Thank you so much!! It makes me really, really happy to hear that! Honestly! It helps heal my impostor syndrome!
/I even finished a super, super old sketch just to reply, because I ran out of finished ones.

Bless for your art <3 It brings joy every day ^^ I hope you have a lovely week!

Oh, thank you so much! I've already had a wonderful week — I took a lot of photos, I got the highest grade for a year’s work on my final project, and yesterday at the bar I had some amazing infused drinks. So life is great, and it’ll get even better once I finish writing the text part of my graduation thesis. I even had time to do a bit of drawing for myself. So everything’s awesome! Wishing you a wonderful week too

The theme I had been dreaming about the whole time I was reading the ships — I imagined so many possible reunion scenes that would’ve made me happy, and of course none of them ever happened. So now, after all this time of my thoughts drifting back and forth, I decided to draw something warm

I saved these photos back in February. I was planning to use them as a reference for the hair or the pose, but in the end, I used them for the dress

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I absolutely adore your art! There's something so magical about the fairy tale quality you give to the characters - I'm going to be imagining your drawings on all of my rereads from now on!
Oh, thank you so much! I'm really happy to hear that!! And it's so nice to know that my drawings visualize the story so well for you!
/ this time it's not a rote sketch — I've run out of pictures that I can show. I'm almost out of images for regular posting too, and I haven’t had time to draw new ones yet. So here's a funny dude from the latest commission

Sketches and drawings that didn’t fit into any particular post — I drew them when, after finishing the series, I skimmed through the first trilogy again. I wanted to reanalyze the characters’ behavior at the beginning of the story.
Fun fact: I started reading based on a recommendation, and even though I hadn’t seen a single piece of fanart, I somehow knew there was going to be a storyline in there that would catch my interest — I just didn’t know which one. I got absorbed in the plot and forgot all about that thought.
And there was a storyline with Molly that I didn’t like — from the very beginning and throughout the early books. And on Tumblr, I’ve seen posts from people frustrated with those who don’t like Molly, but I haven’t seen any posts from people who actually explain why she doesn’t appeal to them (aside from the obvious "jealousy" angle)
And to be fair — she is a good, strong, well-written character. At some point, I even admitted to myself that her storyline genuinely works — like, I believe in it!
But I still didn’t start liking her.
Probably because her arc leads toward an obviously uneventful future — you know, cottage, candles, kids, garden...
Maybe it just comes down to the character type. She’s very comforting, very feminine — which, in itself, is absolutely great — but I’m hopelessly subjective, and I’ve always been drawn to a very different kind of female character. Someone like Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) or Mizu (Blue Eye Samurai).
So what feels like quiet paradise to Fitz — to me, it’s a nightmare. And their problems honestly feel more like harsh emotional triggers. You’re 15–17 or however old, your country is at war, your girlfriend is pregnant, and she wants to move to the middle of nowhere and make candles for a living?
And - she’s right! She’s completely right to keep pressing Fitz about it! She’s right to finally leave him along with his kings, wolves, ships, and all ways to build a better world.
And she’s right to marry Burrich. And she was right not to stay alone with a child, without a home or family.
So yeah — the story arc is solid, the character is well-written, and everything technically makes sense. But I still can’t bring myself to like her. I can’t love her because we didn’t connect at all.
/Don’t judge me — I’m honestly super subjective. The world is full of all kinds of characters: some we absolutely adore, and others we just read about without ever really feeling a personal connection. If I had a podcast about female characters, you’d probably end up recommending me therapy.🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️💀

More modern AU stuff — this one was inspired by the first trilogy.
Just imagine — you’re five, or something like that. Your parents are fading from your memory and from your world, and the only person willing to take you in is your grandfather. I don’t even know who he is exactly, but he’s got a huge house — and a brother who happens to be a killer, and he’s the one who’s going to train you, all for the sake of your new family. There’s already one kid under your grandfather’s care — no one really knows how he ended up there. He’s strange, autistic, and he’s the only one you can be friends with
I don’t know, it all just seemed kind of funny to me.

Some modern aus seemed really funny to me — like little details such as the idea that Fitz would probably wear the same jacket and sweater for 30 years, and he'd likely be wearing them in all the few photos of him that exist. So I ended up drawing some fanart. A lot of moments reimagined in a modern setting struck me as really amusing (haha, and anything involving Chade would be even more so). Thinking about modern aus is honestly so much fun!
