Fun fact: I crochet and I mainly like to make lil guys (plushies) :3 and I like to use recycled things as stuffing, generally use like bottle lables, unsed napkins, clothing tags, drywr sheets, cloths bits (NOTHING DIRTY EWWEWWEWWEWWW) and use harder things like bottle caps, bits of plastic or cardboard tags. I use the softer bits like bubble rap for the harder bits, and the end the plushy is soft and you've use something that otherwise wouldn't have and just yeeted in the trash :3
Remeber you can use anything as stuffing (as long and no one gets hurt. Example: pointy bits, things that can cause allergy, ect.)
Diagram:
This is like an X-ray of ma lil guys (they are all not a circle, generally round, yes, but not completely spherical,,, some are)
:3
(Idk about you but i really like this color pallette ^^ )

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.
I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
Feel free to repost, no need for credit

I debated whether or not I should make this post, but decided that I have to, because there are so many people, especially in America who do not know this. And it is SO important. So please take 5 minutes of your time and read this.
Let me explain to you why Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s statements about autism are extremely dangerous and should deeply concern you (not only if you are autistic)
For that you need to understand a bit about the history of autism, so you can see the parallels to what is happening now.
The whole "high functioning autism" thing exists for a reason. Not the one you think though. You have probably heard that "high functioning autism" was called Aspergers Syndrome before. This concept was created during the 1930s and 1940s in Austria (although it was not called Aspergers syndrome back then). There is a lot more to this, but for the purpose of this post I will keep it short.
The nazis saw every disabled or mentally ill person, including children as unworthy to live. The main purpose of the Asperger Syndrome was to separate the children into two groups. The ones they could use for their causes, indoctrinate with the nazi values and force to work. And those we would call people with high support needs today, the group they deemed as not worth to even be alive. (This does not mean that "high functioning autistic people were not also killed, they were.)
This diagnosis was a death sentence for those children. To be clear, the nazis did not only kill autistic children and adults but also mentally ill and disabled children and adults.
The next thing you have to understand is that a shocking amount of people knew about this back then and there were parents who willingly and even gladly handed their children to those institutions, knowing they would kill their children, because they themselves saw their own children as worthless, a burden and not valuable to society.
Back to what Robert F. Kennedy said. One of his first statements was "They will never be able to pay taxes." (Refering to autistic children, especially targeting those with high support needs) And that tells you everything you need to know. Because that is how he and a concerning amount of people determine the worth of a person. If they work, if they pay taxes, if they consume and contribute to the economy. If not, they are seen as worth less than working people.
Sounds familiar, does it? Because the nazis used the same measurements to determine peoples worth. That is no coincidence.
They always come for the vulnerable first.
They always come for the minorities first.
It is this belief that a certain group of people is worth more or less than others that is so dangerous!
Because many people already see neurodivergent, mentally ill and disabled people as less. Less worthy, less useful, less human. So it's easy for him to go ahead with those statements, because it does not concern the majority of people.
So please educate yourself about the topic, read into what happened in Nazi Germany. Read about how it happened, how everything started! Because if we don't pay attention to this now, it might be too late!

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

General PSA's for begginer alt crafting
- superglue heats up when in contact with fiber, your craft can start smoking or even catch on fire
- you can wash clothing painted with acrylic paint in the washing machine if you turn it inside out and use the lowest temperature
- don't put painted clothes in the dryer.
- you can wash clothes with metal bits in the washing machine but use the handwashing setting, dry the metal bits with a paper towel before hanging them to dry, and know that it WILL be loud
- synthetic dye is needed to dye synthetic fibers and requires a long time simmering in a boiling pot. This WILL stink up the house and you NEVER want to make food in that pot again
- faux leather is vinyl not leather. Get vinyl paint to paint on it
- don't use your teeth as tools, they don't regenerate. Reconstructing enamel costs a small fortune (ask me how I know.)
- when handsewing a lot through thick fabric get thin needles, it will require less force and be less taxing on your wrists. When machine sewing get a higher grade needle (~130 for jean)
- embroidery floss is overpriced and not as strong as it looks. For sewing on heavy stuff get denim thread, it will last forever
- don't feed a 60$ home sewing machine ten layers of denim before you learn how much a servicing fee costs, these things are dellicate
- spray paint is best applied from 30-40cm away, in swift movements. Putting too much or applying from too close will cause drips. You can sand them down and apply a new layer of paint AFTER they dry. Wipe the can nozzle after painting if it's messy, you don't want it to clog and become unusable
- water based markers on fabric will bleed, if not instantly then with time, alcohol markers will fade with time
- most fabric glues are machine washable up to a certain temperature. modgepodge is not waterproof, hitack is handwash only. Check the instructions
- the flatter the surface the easier hot glue will peel off. Faux leather stands no chance, fibers like yarn will hold it best, but is impossible to remove the glue from them in the future
- rivets are a thing that exists, only require a hammer to install and can be used as permanent fabric attachment
- studs, gromets and other metal junk at small fabric stores are laughably overspriced
- acetone (found in nail polish remover) will remove acrylic stains out of furniture, flooring and faux leather, if used in excess can damage the laquer. Can also be used to remove prints and glue off of plastic (do a small test before commiting, might melt the plastic it it's grade is low)
- residue from stickers (and k-tape) can be removed with oil
- acrylic stains cannot be removed out of clothing or carpet so protect your area before painting and don't wear clothes you care about
- if your thread keeps getting tangled or snagging while handsewing try waxing it
- you can lock in screw-in spikes with screw lock glue if you're scared of them falling off because they unscrew
- you can add washers to screw-in spikes if you're scared of them falling through flimsy fabric or too big of a hole
- if you're making anything out of soda cans have a metal file on hand, they are deceptively sharp and will hurt you and rip through fabric you're installing them in
- bleach can be found in mold killing spray (don't touch that shit with bare hands. chemical burn.)
- fabric paints are no different from slightly dilluted acrylic. You can make it yourself by adding a bit of fabric softener to acrylic or honestly even water
- if you are setting anything with an iron use parchment paper or a pressing cloth to pervent your stuff from sticking to your iron and ruining it
- if you want a safety pin somewhere permanently pinch it shut with pliers
- as much as you can, avoid putting glue on clothing, it makes it really hard to change your decisions later on and upcycle the project in the future
- kiss your friends

7 1/4" Guaga train OCs 🚂🚋🚋🚋
The Haultraugh miniature railway
I was hyper fixating on 7 1/4" gauge trains and garden railways when I made these guys. I feel like they would live somewhere around the little western. Yes, this would mean that there would be 2 miniature railway on the same are. But one is more work related and the other is more pleasure focused. I feel that due to the gauge, people can bring their own locomotives that are the same gauge and fave fun.
---The locomotives---
Leopold -> a scaled up cracker style locomotive. He is is typically on a small loop in the owners back yard, and gets really happy when he can stretch his wheels on the long stretch of line.
Titch-> an electric railcar with the outline of a tram. One of the strongest and reliable engine, they are an afable worker. They also are obsessed with Sodor railway history and loves to tell other engines about it. But is super friendly and kind.
Green-> a tinkerbell style locomotive. She is a chaotic neutral and outspoken engine, always like to play some kind of trick and and is quite unserious regarding a lot of things. She really loves nature and has a big respect towards the weather. This is probably because she used to be a zoo engine. She is also Hall's sister.
Hall-> a Horton style locomotive. The only tender engine, he is an anxious mess that is afraid of his own shadow. He tends to be very easily persuaded by others also, specially the visiting engines, but he means well and tries to prove himself all the time.
There are other privately owned engines that travel around the island, and some do mostly live on the HMR
Notes:
- The railway is based on the Eastleigh lakeside miniature railway and the Moors valley railway
- The HMR controller and the Tall controller are actually good friends, it's the locomotives that have competition with each other. I fee that it would be Mike and Green would take it super seriously while the others would take it as friendly competition.
- The engines are also brought to carnivals and are given a small loop to go around.
- they also might visit other garden railways that are in the area, same is vise versa
Thx fir reading my OC info dump :D
