i am an autistic trans man who just moved across the country to escape my abusive mom (you may have seen the post i made with a screenshot of her demands) . i have been looking for a job but i am now living in ohio and live in a Very Not Good neighborhood so i am only looking at work from home jobs.

ok... i ffin hate how goddamn padme is treated in the star wars fandom. like... she is just so ffin sidelined and forgotten & maligned its not even goddamn fuckin funny like i am legitimately pissed tf off rn.

like 1st of all ok ok i am a major anidala shipper but with this- either she is either completely written out of any & all imaginings w the skyfam, just ignored w her relationship w anakin, or worse when she is remembered she is only remembered as like anakins love interest which i do not like.

like all of her nuances & complexities & like the shit she actually ffin did in the political sphere & her actual skills all erased bc she wasnt the stereotypically girl power woman she kept her feminitity & compassion & romance even as she did kickass things n so bc she was openly feminine she is just hated hated & made into a weak chara & ppl mischaracterize her all the time & make her out to b just this stone figure w no personality & like ppl make fuckin the worst goddamn jokes about her.

like i see all the time the worst ffin p*do jokes about her & anakin (which just double whammy bc wow i hate that), they joke abt her death, etc etc etc & they hate on her. she is like my hyperfixation comfort chara and she is treated so badly and it hurts so much it hurts in my heart like u dont understand this hits me so hard i literally had a goddamn anxiety attack over it for the whole ffin day i hate this.

Real talk but there's a point that's brought up in fiction discourse a lot and that's about someone's ability, or lack thereof, to know the difference between fiction and reality. The implication is always that if someone isn't 100% sure of what's real and what isn't, then they're dangerous and shouldn't be participating in fandoms.

And that actually really fucking sucks as someone who struggles with that myself.

I don't always know the difference between fiction and reality. Psychosis combined with severe maladaptive daydreaming has heavily affected my ability to perceive my reality and to understand that the world around me is real. I'm one of those ~crazies~ that everyone just loves to throw under the bus as an example of who shouldn't be allowed to be in fandom.

But I'm not a danger to anyone. My psychosis has never caused me to hurt anyone. My emotions are still real, the compassion I feel for others is real, and the kindness I want to give to the world (whether that works actually exists or not) is real. The most dangerous part of my "delusions" is just plain apathy regarding my own safety and well-being.

I deserve to have a place in fandom. I deserve to draw my own lines and determine my own limits without someone telling me I'm too crazy to enjoy fictional stories. Other psychotic people deserve that too. Stop pretending like we don't exist until it suits your needs.

yk i keep on seeing a few posts regarding rogue one & a new hope of darth vader like. coming up with some 4D water chess level thing to get the death star destroyed bc he hated it, but i don’t really agree with it? like, yeah, 100% vader hated tarkin & krennic, & yeah he saw the death star as an abomination against the force (i think anyways?), but i legit believe he was in that depressed slump state of things where he legit does not give a shit. he totally half-assed the job of supervising it, gave it the bare minimum amount of effort, and was all “meh” when it got blown to smithereens. he was wayyyy more motivated up hunting after son Luke than he ever was with anything else.

palps was all “watch over this death star my apprentice” and vader was like “you do know this thing is kinda shit”, and palps was like “do not question me it is perf” so vader just went “meh okay”, sort of like how you do with an assigment that just gets plopped on ya that you really don’t wanna do but you gotta, yk?

Breha Organa

Breha, Early Life

From a young age, Princess Breha Antilles accompanied her mother in various diplomatic missions, always inclining towards peace and pacifism

At the age of 16, as is tradition for the heir to the throne, Breha took part in the “Day of Demand” - a day where the heir would complete three rigorous challenges of the body, heart, and mind, to prove themselves worthy of the throne

During the challenges to prove herself worthy, she suffered a bad fall, one which nearly killed her

As a result, her heart and both lungs were replaced with mechanical versions in emergency surgery

Instead of encasing these mechanized organs in artificial flesh, she chose to leave the heart exposed, as a reminder of her fight and survival

After her recovery, she ascended to the throne and married Bail Organa, taking his last name as her own

Throughout her reign, she held a close relationship with Padmé Amidala, who came to stay as a guest in her palace on many occasions

Though they tried to conceive their own children, the injuries to her body prevented them

Fun Fact! Breha was a master of several forms of hand-to-hand combat!

Breha, Empire Era

Breha, from the beginning, told a child Leia stories of Padmé Amidala, and even had a statue built in her honor in her personal gardens

Breha valued education and traditions, and personally tutored many groups of young Alderaani children, in an effort to keep their culture and traditions alive

These efforts would prove valuable later, after the destruction of Alderaan, when many of the children she instructed were able to continue to educate the next generation of survivors and keep their traditions alive

Breha also coached and trained Leia, when Leia herself underwent the Day of Demand to challenge her right as successor to the throne

Breha supported her daughter in her political endeavors, appointing her as Senator when Bail Organa stepped down from the position

Breha died with her husband on Alderaan, her final thoughts of Leia

The Outfit

Although little is known about Alderaani fashion and customs, costume designer Trisha Briggar referred to her designs for Breha’s “Palace Gown” and braided hairstyle covered with an opaque shawl as traditional for both the planet and the monarch.

She is featured in only one scene and one outfit, a dusty blue brocade gown with slit sleeves, embroidery, a golden brooch, and a matching shawl that was hand dyed to match the color of the gown. The metallic brocade fabric is subtle, but eye-catching, and the chiffon shawl is delicate and draped in a way that softens the overall image and creates a warm, inviting air around her character. The Concept Art

“I thought that Queen Organa might look almost exacly like Padmé, because Leia remembers seeing her mother smile.” - Iain McCaig

Multiple pieces of concept art were drawn up by concept artist Iain McCaig, who originally opted to give her many of Padmé’s features, as a way of explaining how Leia might have remembered her mother. Later, McCaig opted to recreate the design, using his wife Leonor as inspiration instead. (x)

Regardless, these pieces of concept art are striking, undoubtedly some of my favorites. McCaig manages to capture the feeling of melancholy and nostalgia in these images, as well as a spark of hope when times grow dark.

Something that really makes my day is thinking about how must have been like for Breha to discover that her husband was coming home with nothing more than A BABY. I mean, imagine how you could possibly react if you are on a normal day doing queen things and then your husband calls you and says: guess what, we’re going to be parents!

I think It would have been like this:
