Deactivated my Twitter/X account today never to return. Elon's scope creep demands for money just so people can see your replies on posts has hit my limiter.

Look, I get it why Elon and X want to do this but you cannot reconcile "FREE SPEECH" and "PAY ME EXTRA MONEY so a few more people can see your free speech". Thats going beyond algorithm into cash for comment territory, ie if you have money then your opinion is worth more than those (like me) who do not. Its devaluing the idea of free speech

Emotion, propaganda and weight gain

that people who are fat, specifically around their mid section (like me) are not fat from just food and drink, that other factors are at play here..... like...... unresolved emotions, unprocessed thoughts etc...? Think about it, you're getting older and you develop a mid section, your hair stops growing or even worse, thins and falls out, you develop more chins and a moonface. This does not look like your average, run of the mill overweight person.

There is something else going on! Its not just the food and lack exercise. I posit my own hypothesis that you are taking in too much information from low quality, fast result entertainment from news, social media and so on and you are not giving yourself the break from it you really need.

Disconnected

Have people, westerners specifically, disconnected themselves from what it is to be truly "human"?

Whats happened to the west? We've been made to fear the government instead of fearing god. We've replaced god with a faith in goverment. Human's cannot worship themselves and expect anything good to come from it...

Note, im not a particularly religious person but watching us fall apart has me looking for answers and this is one particularly interesting one that I have observed.

To add, I think that we've lost a simplicity and peace in our lives by expunging faith in favour of something else. Human's never remove one thing without replacing it with another. It's like society is stuck in a perpetual mid-life crisis thats only getting worse and can only get worse.
