Welcome to Random Pokemon Polls, where every day I roll two random Pokemon and make a poll between them.

This started on a private discord server I have with friends, and one friend in particular started doing these daily polls. I eventually took over, and have been doing them ever since. I was having so much fun with them that I eventually decided to bring it to tumblr.

While originally on the server I was rolling national pokedex numbers, it bothered me that this left out regional variants, megas, gigantimax forms, etc, so one day my autistic ass sat down and made a giant spreadsheet that included every single Pokemon and any notable forms.

I have detailed how the spreadsheet works and what Pokemon/forms are included below under the read more. There is also a link to the spreadsheet for the more pedantic folks who want to make sure it is accurate (I do not mind in the slightest, I also want it to be as accurate as possible).

A bit of info about me, the mod: I’m Finn, I use they/them pronouns. I am also asexual, aromantic, autistic, and probably ADHD. You can thank the autism for the giant spreadsheet that has 1,241 different Pokemon on it. I have been playing Pokemon since November 2019 and it is by far my biggest special interest.

The spreasheet includes:

All base form Pokemon included in the national dex

Regional Variants (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian, and Paldean)

Mega Evolutions (any new megas introduced in Legends ZA will be added once the game releases)

Primal Reversions

Gigantimax Forms

Canon Fusions (Kyurem, Necrozma, Calyrex, etc)

All forms for any Pokemon that has more than one, within reason

This entails Pokemon who are widely known for having multiple forms, such as the Flabébé line, Squawkabilly, Castform, Burmy, and Rotom.

For Pokemon with, frankly, too many forms, I only included the Pokemon once and I will roll a separate number to determine which form is used. This is to avoid affecting how often these Pokemon are rolled. Notable examples are Vivillon, Silvally, and Arceus.

Please note that under no circumstances will I roll a number for Spinda, the poll would be for Spinda as a concept.

However, there were some Pokemon forms that I did not find it necessary to include. The Pikachu costumes are one notable example, largely because they are not something you immediately think of when you think of Pikachu. Also, Pokemon Go has introduced such an inordinate number of Pikachu costumes that it just doesn’t make sense.

I also did not include every single gender variant. While for Pokemon where the gender variant results in there being two distinct forms, such as Hippopotas, Frillish, or Basculegion, I definitely included both, I did not include both forms for Pokemon with only minute gender differences, such as Luxray, Toxicroak, or Abomasnow.

The spreadsheet is linked below and y’all are more than welcome to comb through it and let me know (preferably via a message) if you notice anything that is wrong or missing. It is largely in Pokedex order and any additional forms are listed after the base Pokemon (example: 673 is Lilligant, and 674 is Hisuian Lilligant).
