Even though his jaw hurts and the muscles of his face scream in protest after being so freshly-bruised, Nigel opens his mouth a little wider – not really doing much beyond trying to get Alex to give him more. More of what exactly isn’t clear. More of his anger, more of his body. Nigel doesn’t really care. As he does so, his mind wanders a bit as he remembers what it was like to cut out that one man’s tongue. He’d put it in a jar for the doctor for her to keep as a sign of devotion and Nigel wonders if he were to put Alex’s tongue in a jar whether he would give it to the doctor as well or simply keep it for himself. It’s a nice thought.
