Friendly reminder as we dive into summer

At community and public swimming pools please be kind and courteous to those around you. Many small children will go there as well as teenagers so if you’re a teenager reminder to:

• Don’t curse (children will hear it and reaper it not knowing what it means)

• Don’t make fun of anyones size/shape/skin color/gender/scars/stretch marks(common courtesy)

• Don’t splash those out of the pool especially if you don’t know them

•Don’t continually splash those within the pool either (the pool is for everyone to enjoy, others won’t enjoy you roughhousing and will feel unsafe)

During this song, we continuously hear Marvin and Whizzer Argus about whether they have been together for 9 or 10 months. What if Whizzee only thinks they’ve been together for 9 months because he doesn’t count anything before Marvin told Trina??? Maybe?? Right?? And Marvin counts everything. 🤷‍♀️

So I have auditions for my school’s Newsies in a week and I had a dream that it was opening night but the cast was singing a little part of Frozen and I continued it when I woke up so...

Musicals

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this, but because Hamilton is taking over the Earth and every place where humans have gone, what would Aliens think about musicals?

Stax'iks: So Human Caroline, what is a “musical” again?

Caroline: It’s a play with songs, but the music tells the plot and gives more depth into the characters.

Stax'iks: Yes, I understand that, but these songs have odd titles. Like what is “The Room Where It Happens?” What happens in the room? Why is it THE room?

Caroline: I’ll have to take you to the play for you to understand.

Stax'iks: And what is a “Dead Girl Walking?”

Human Caroline’s cheeks suddenly turned the color of Human Mike’s jacket, and she stuttered awkwardly.

Caroline: Um… uhhhh… that’s gonna be a lot harder to explain.

In my freshman year we did Peter Pan and for the roles of Michael and John we had middle schoolers. Poor kids, it was their first real tech week. So opening night, we get to the scene where they spend about 30 minutes in their beds (which were real) and Michael falls asleep., like actually asleep. John is startled and misses his cue, so Wendy picks it up. And there’s this beat where they have to turn the lights off because Liza is coming and the flying crew gets to their spots to hook the kids up so they can fly in about 2 minutes. Michael’s mom, Who was incredibly engrossed in the makeup, goes behind the set and starts whisper shouting at him to wake up. He wakes up, and as soon as the lights come up he jumps out bed and runs to his place where he gets hooked up. But of course he is still half asleep. Thank god it was his second nature to repeat his lines after his cues and we had a student pit. At this point the director is behind the set now trying to see what’s going on and if you’ve ever listened to or seen Peter Pan, Michael is supposed to say “Christmas” then shoot up. Well he missed his cue for that, so the director whispers Christmas at him and he repeats it as “Christmas??” And the person in charge of his flying rope was on top of a ladder and grabbed he rope and jumped. Michael goes about 30 feet in the air and when he comes back down is completely awake. The lesson here is, don’t fall asleep on stage kids.

Apparently my director went to see a production of West Side Story a few years ago, and the guy playing Chino forgot his gun before coming out for his final scene. Once it got to the big scene where he is supposed to shoot Tony, he screeched “Poison Boots” and kicked the actor playing Tony until he went down. The girl playing Maria then had to jerk the shoe off of Chino’s foot, and had to do the gunshot scene asking “How many kicks Chino? How many kicks, and one kick left for me”.

What if Jason(Falsettos) And JD(Heathers) were the same person???? The timelines line up. And he’s mad that the god took Whizzer away so he kills those that should have died instead.
