I feel like this 1930s diary is a sadly accurate summation of the last five years of my life.

You know I think the hardest part for me is that no matter how hard I worked I never had a chance to live the life I dreamed of. Child me didn’t want to be a princess or an astronaut I wanted to explore the forests, to ride horses and have as many dogs as i physically could. I’ve been saving every spare penny I had for years in order to one day go see Yellowstone, but now my savings trickled into two hundred dollars simply from me trying to scrape by. I’ll never see Yellowstone, I’ll never have a horse, I’ll never marry a woman, I’ll never be free here because despite what they say it’s not a land of the free it’s the home of tyranny.

I can’t run with my legs bound.

I can’t fight with feeble arms.

I’m trapped in my own home.

I love this land, it was once so beautiful mountains rivers forests deserts. How can you destroy everything that makes life worth living? How can you do that?
