First thing you feel when you pull away from the gentle hold of sleep is your beloved’s arm wrapped around you, lavender hair sprawled as his cheek rests upon your plush chest, soft snores escaping his pouty lips, the afternoon sun casts a soft glow around his frame, shimmering golden threads weaving themselves around him, like they can't help but be drawn to his frame, to be near him, surround him with their light. You don't blame them, it would be a miracle in itself if anything or anyone would be able to resist this pull, not be drawn into his orbit and like moth to a flame, like you can't resist⁠—not like you want to— let your fingers drift to his face, careful not to wake him up, tracing the plush of his cheek, his full lips.

Love bleeds into every touch, every gaze, every thought, so much so you think your heart wouldn't be able to hold it, so much so that you don't think you want to hold it, to keep it to yourself when you can let it bleed and stain your life, to stain it in colours of lavender, pink and blue, to colour you his. It's all you want to be these days after all, your tongue feels heavy in your mouth, you wish you knew how to break down these galaxy like feelings, to express them in a way which is tangible, so he can hold them in his hands so he can see how deep they run in your very flesh and blood. You settle for tracing hearts on his back until you can find a way to show him these bigger than yourself feelings.
