Vampire subcategories
This is a list of different types of vampire spirits and their subcategories. These are either spirits that I’ve heard about, interacted with, or read about on here. I really love vampires and they are my favorite spirits to work with in all honesty. I have a ton of vampire companions and vampires that hang out in my sanctuary. This list is in no way complete and will be added to as time goes on. I wanna thank the amazing spirit workers @crystallineconjurations, @witchy-witty-weird , @spiritstacia, and @lsac-cherry and Cherry’s mum for helping contribute to the list as well. And of course my own vampire companions who helped. I’ll keep updating this list as I meet other vampire spirits or get told about more.

Actual everyday "witchy" habits
I've seen some lists around the website, but they're too fancy for me. Here are things I actually do everyday.
🌱First thing, open all the blinds for the plants.
☕Put cinnamon in my coffee filter (not in the cup itself, it blends better this way).
📿Wear 2 charms currently. One for general soothing & protection, the second to find a new job.
🃏Bring some magical item with me, like cards, potion, crystals, herbs, book. Even if I don't use it, it keeps my mind at a better place.
🌳Take the path with the most trees. I try to take the path that will provide me with more nature & sunshine, to & from work.
📜Try to learn one thing. Either I scroll witchy media or read a page or two. It's usually one small new fact.
📔Easy journaling. Journal entries of only a few lines, multiple times a day. One thought, one entry.
No pressure. Also drink water 🥤

Evening prayer to Aphrodite
Dearest Aphrodite,
As the day fades away,
I call upon you to hear what I say.
Wrap me in your loving light,
Guide me through the peaceful night.
Bless my heart with passion's fire,
Fill my dreams with love's desire.
Protect and bless my loved ones dear,
Keep them safe, forever near.
In the evening's calm and serene,
May your beauty and love be seen.
Goddess of love, I humbly pray,
Thank you, Aphrodite, for your presence today.

Connecting and Working with Deities ❁ཻུ۪۪ ━
‧₊˚. : · •. * • ˚ . · * ✶ : · • * ˚ ✵
In a previous post, I opened up about the idea of compiling a list outlining ways to establish a connection and work with deities. So here are some ideas of how you can connect with deities and or worship/work with them. Mind you, these are just suggestions, so there isn't a wrong nor right way on how you want to connect with deities. It is whatever feels comfortable and feels comfortable with the deity you are wanting to have a connection with.
𖤣𖥧˚ Research & Learn
Study Mythology: Study mythological material to understand the particular deity's background and their connections with their circle. Mythology can help understand attributes, symbols, or the history. As a note though, how a deity is predicted in mythology might not even come close to how they actually behave.
Understand Cultural Context: Learn about the cultural and historical context of the deity; how they were worshipped in the past, how others in a particular culture worked with them and showed appreciation and or admiration.
𖤣𖥧˚ Create an Altar or Sacred Space
Set Up an Altar: Create a dedicated space with images, statues, symbols, and offerings related to the deity. And if you're wanting to take a cheap approach, doing a digital altar works too!
Sacred Objects: Include items that are sacred to the deity, such as crystals, herbs, or special artifacts pertaining to that deity.
𖤣𖥧˚ Offerings
Food & Drink: Offer foods and drinks that are favorable and or were common as an offering to the deity. It can range to anything like candy, beer, wine, coffee, hot chocolate, water, meat, fruit, etc.
Incense & Candles: Light incense or candles as offerings. Bonus would be that the scent/colour correlates to the deity, but this is entirely optional.
Flowers & Other Natural Offerings: Place flowers, stones, leaves, or other natural items on your altar.
𖤣𖥧˚ Artistic Creations
Create Art: Draw, paint, sculpt, or engage in any artistic endeavor that honours and or shows appreciation for the deity.
Music & Dance: Sing, play music, make music, or dance in a way that celebrates the deity.
Writing & Poems: Write a short-story, your interactions, and or poems dedicated to that deity.
𖤣𖥧˚ Divination and Signs
Divination Tools: Use tools like tarot cards, runes, scrying, or other forms of divination to seek guidance from the deity. If you are using tarot cards, what helps is looking at the major arcana cards to see which deity it is associated to.
Look for Signs: Be open to receiving signs and messages, and or look out for anything that is consistent but out of the ordinary.
𖤣𖥧˚ Study and Practice Corresponding Disciplines
Learn Related Skills: For example, if the deity is associated with healing, study and practice healing arts. If the deity is related to death, you can do funeral donations to help the bereaved.
𖤣𖥧˚ Rituals and Ceremonies
Seasonal Celebrations: Participate in or create rituals and ceremonies that align with the deity's sacred times, such as solstices, equinoxes, or specific festivals.
Personal Rituals: Develop your own rituals that feel meaningful and appropriate for your connection with the deity.
𖤣𖥧˚ Meditation and Visualization
Meditate: Find a quiet place, clear your mind, and focus on the deity. Visualize their form, symbols, and presence. If silence doesn't do too well, you can play a song that you think would be a good representation to the deity.
Guided Imagery: Use guided meditations specifically designed for connecting with deities.
𖤣𖥧˚ Prayer and Invocation
Pray Regularly or When Needed: Establish a daily or regular practice of prayer. Speak from the heart or use traditional prayers and hymns. You can either keep your prayers formal or casual, whatever feels right and appropriate.
Invoke the Deity: Call upon the deity's presence through chants, mantras, or specific invocations. You can either do this in your mind or call out loud.
𖤣𖥧˚ Join a Community
Find Like-minded People: Join groups or communities that honour and work with the same deity. It can be through Discord, Tumblr, or wherever—online or physical.
Attend Ceremonies: Participate in communal worship, festivals and gatherings.
𖤣𖥧˚ Tips for the Practice
Respect: Always approach with respect and sincerity.
Consistency (or Flexibility): Build a regular practice to deepen your connection, and even if it's not daily, there's always a flexible approach.
Intuition: Trust your intuition and personal experiences.
Adaptability: Be open to changing your methods as you grow and learn more.
Remember, the key is to develop a relationship that feels genuine and meaningful to you in whatever means possible.

Aphrodite is genuinely such a beautiful goddess. She appears to me in many different forms, sometimes a young woman with blonde hair as bright as the sand of a beach and the warmth of the sun hidden in her smile; sometimes a kind mother figure in her 50s with salt and pepper hair mimicking seafoam, wrinkles under her eyes from years of smiling, sun-kissed beach skin, who gives the best mom hugs; sometimes a with light brown water-drenched hair and gritty sand on her sparkling skin; sometimes simply a figure less, body less form of blue and pink flowing energy with a comforting hum. I love her Mother Aphrodite all her forms of beauty.

I think it’s time I’m active here again!
So hello! I’m Raven. I’ve been a practicing witch since I was around 7 or 8. I’m currently 20 and living in Denver!
For the past 5 years I’ve exclusively considered myself a Death Witch as my practice revolves around spirit work and working with those who have passed! However recently it’s also brought on a focus of hearth work that I’m thoroughly enjoying! In my practice I work with Persephone, Apollon, Hestia, Demeter, and Aphrodite.
Besides my actual craft I’m also a spirit companion! If you follow me you’ve probably seen a large amount of my reblogs are spirit shops! I do run my own though I haven’t shared it here yet I suppose now is as good a time as any!!
I’m excited to be active again and share my practice with y’all!!!
Until we meet again

Indigo the Plum Blossom Faerie [Mod Hua]
Name: Indigo
Species: Plum Blossom Faerie
Gender: Demi-girl
Alignment: Foxglove
Likes: Secrets, self indulgence, a little chaos/confusion, throw blankets, the sound of rain, waterfalls
Dislikes: Pushiness, expectations, forceful people, being stuck in dry climates, strawberries, the feeling of muck on their skin, the color chartreuse
Keywords: Direct, inquisitive, masculine, quiet pride, determined, guardian, slight trickster
Family Requirements: Indigo can be a little bit of a loner at times, so would prefer to be a part of a family where she can also be alone at times. She’s not “stuck in a shell” nor shy, just sure of herself and headstrong, so she knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to ask for it, so someone who doesn’t take offense to direct communication would be ideal.
Message:”Hello… I don’t quite know what to say.. I hope we get along? I promise to try and not come across as off putting.. I’m more of a listener than a talker, so if you have stories to tell, please feel free to indulge me.”
Adoption Fee: $60 To chat with Indigo, schedule visits, and to apply for companionship, please join our Discord!

Spirit Shops Discords Masterlist
Welcome to my list of discords for Spirit Shops! If you have a spirit shop and have a discord please IM or PM me with your shop name, pronouns, your selling platform, and link to your discord!
As an added note before we get to the list, if you are curious about reviews for shops on any platform or looking for a place to connect with others who are in the spirit work community as well as learn about experiences I suggest joining The Summoner’s Review. It has a section for anonymous reviews so you don’t feel the pressure of having to leave a good review. Some shop owners are also in the server and if you have concerns or questions there is a lovely channel to ask questions and have them addressed.

Spirit Shops Red Flags
Welcome to the list of Spirit shops Red/Yellow/Green flags post. These posts were Co-written with Katsper, and was also added to with the help of those in the Summoner’s Review server. General list was written with Katsper and expanded points are ones that people shared in TSR. Yellow & Green flags post to come
Please not that due to length some has been put under read more
closed religion species (up to personal values on what is closed or not)
There is a lot of religions and cultures that are closed. Spirits that come from them isn’t meant for people that aren’t of that culture or religious practice. Granted anybody can say “Oh I’m in xyz culture or religion” but it’s just uncomfortable to deal with. And a lot are really unsafe for those not in the religion or culture. Golems for example are of Jewish Culture, there is a whole process of making them and they are very specific to that process. Personally I wouldn't trust somebody selling them because from my personal understanding they are very complex and the one who makes them goes through a very heavy learning process. It’s uncomfortable. Adding, native American spirits are also big for people to sell, lets not do that for MANY reasons.
Straight up dangerous spirits (such as Native american w**s or skinwalkers)
“Spirit xyz can and will kill any human they can so they need a powerful keeper to keep them under control”, why are they thinking this is a good idea? Why are they selling Native american spirits or spirits that just want to destroy whatever they can and kill others. Serious lapse in judgment and a way to get other keepers harmed. Or even non practicing relatives.
over sexualizing spirits
Over sexualized spirits brings the feeling that sex is the only thing that matters and that’s all they are good for. Listings that say that spirit just wants to have sex devalues them as a being that has it’s own feelings, history, or really anything. They basically are advertised as breathing blow up dolls you put no care into.
selling ubis as sex fiends
Not all Ubis (plural for for succubi and incubi, as well as a gender neutral term for those that don't identify as strictly male or strictly female) are actually interested in sex. It can be seen as a necessity for some, but there's also ones that want the emotional bond before getting down and dirty. It's a really heavy handed misconception.
selling "orphans" or children spirits
Now this was a big no no back when I started getting into online spirit work. Children spirits should be with their parents or adults of their species. If they’re selling orphans means they made no leg work to connect them with an adult spirit of their species so generally left with questions. Think of it like somebody selling you an orphan human child on the black market. Sketchy as fuck and feels super illegal {which it is}, there’s sometimes ulterior motives there that just leave the whole situation feeling wrong. And some species have strict as hell rules about their children and you don’t want to get into the cross hairs of that.
short CC or RC turnaround time (within a month or so)
So this is more about having just conjured a spirit for your custom conjure (cc) or reverse conjure (rc). It's not giving you much detail or assurance that spirit is actually safe or says who they say they are. It also feels like “meh, did the work of conjuring good fing-ing luck. Give me my money I've waited long enough.”
short vetting times
Short vetting times can be seen as super dangerous because it means they are just catching or conjuring spirits to sell for profit and not for care. Always ask about their vetting times and if vetting times are in physical or astral. Some astral spaces time moves differently so astral time of vetting could be shorter or longer compared to those who vet just in physical, it’s important to know their vetting times. Longer doesn’t always mean better, but it should give you an idea of how much they should know about the spirit
very little information about the spirit
This makes it feel like the conjurer didn't actually do vetting or did the shortest amount of vetting possible. They got some random details or bare minimum and said it was good enough. To a lot it feels like there is no care about the spirit and again, more interested in the money than actually connecting a spirit with a human keeper
misinformation about the spirit
Imagine you just got a spirit and the conjurer tells you it's a dragon but you learn from the spirit Is actually a hellhound. If you go to the conjurer and ask wtf is up and they ignore you? Chances are they don't actually care. Or they gave you the wrong info for that spirit. It's really frustrating to learn and so that's why you should always double check with your spirits and address things with the conjurer. but it leaves seeds of distrust and people talk.
"This spirit or item will solve all of your problems!" mentality
This can be dangerous to people as they then have the mentality that they don’t have to do anything for themselves if they can just buy a spirit or item because they were told that it can fix things for them. It can also be super harmful for those that struggle with mental health because they don't take the steps to help themselves and rely on spirits or items to help instead. It leaves spirits themselves in a difficult position especially if they can't do what they're being advertised to help/cure/fix what the conjurer is saying they can do
Doing "forever" bindings, or something similar
If a spirit wants to follow you after death into the next life, they will... don't make them. Forcing them to stay bound no matter what life takes away their right to choose and be free. It’s slavery in a way.
Has very little information about the spirit to offer, a paragraph or less
This ties into the vetting red flag. It shows they took little to no effort to getting to know the spirit and let you know that they actually took the time and care to get to know the spirit before matching them with a keeper. It shows they care more about the money not the spirit or the people they are matching them with
selling a "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" spirit
This feels icky just for the fact it feels like a spirit is forced into that kind of situation. Like a hostage and kidnapper feeling
Really Really high pricing, especially for very little information
According to others in TSR, if the pricing is really high and you get a page or less of information, they’re more interested in their pocketbooks than they are actually connecting spirits with keepers.
They don't allow any visits with spirits before adoption, seeing how certain energies and personalities fit in your family is important.
This is becoming a lot more popular, especially if shops have discords. The general consensus from this is that a lot of shops do not allow refunds or returns after buying a spirit’s binding. So you’ve bought a spirit, turns out they just do not vibe with your energy, or they don’t get along with other companions. Now you’re just stuck. Visiting a spirit allows you to see if you actually vibe well together or if they can get along with your current family. General idea is that you should visit a few times to be sure that the vibes and energies all mix well.
making up species that diverges from canon, especially with closed religions
“Canon” being the core myth of the species. Take leviathans for example {new example because Native american spirits been pointed out a lot}, they are world enders. They want to destroy the world and consume it. Somebody selling a leviathan that’s friendly, wants to be buddies, isn’t a thing. Or taking a closed culture/religion species and just completely erasing their ties for sellability.
Human spirits in general
It gives buying and selling humans for a lot of people. Which is weird considering the humanoid spirits, but the outright from earth humans feels… wrong???
Haunted dolls in general
This is generally seen as buying human spirits and selling them. A lot tend to be children as well for a ridiculous amount of money. And they are traded and sold a lot which makes things uncomfortable. Mixing it with the severe lack of any vetting, feeling that the spirit is trapped in the haunted doll, and it feeling like selling/trading children it feels wrong.
uses language like "caught" or "captured" a spirit
This makes it seem like the spirit was completely unwilling for companionship and basically taken against their will and sold. Like slavery.
Offers "black magic" spells or "essence" spells
Black magic is a racist term. Please google on how it's considered racist. In this day and age we should be more alerted to the fact that a lot of core practices were built in a way to suppress BIPOC individuals and their cultures and practices. Be better. Essence spells also feels weird.
A spell that affects you physically, such as giving you fighting knowledge when you had none before or making your teeth sharper
For a lot of people this feels more fake and more giving the hollywood glow to the witchy or spirit work community. It gives false expectations of what doing spell work is like. In return you get people that are pissed that they paid

Hestia Devotional Activities
I was cleaning my room last night and found this list on a random piece of paper. I've been worshipping/working with Lady Hestia for roughly 2 years now so I have no idea when these ideas are from but I hope you enjoy!
Pick up rubbish in communal areas
Offer the first or last bites/portions of food your to her
Cooking/baking for yourself or others
Having a candle lit whenever possible (electric or real)
Alternatively, playing a video of a fire place. (This is my favourite)
Volunteering at or donating to homeless or DV shelters
Setting healthy boundaries with friends and family
Tea/Coffee magick is always a great devotional opportunity
Get involved with your local community in anyway possible.
Additionally, getting involved in politics! Advocating for policies you believe will better the community is absolutely in alignment with Hestia and her role in ancient Greece.
Allow yourself to rest (this is UPG but i've always found that she just wants you to take care of yourself more than anything).
Do a chore you've been putting off for a long time and dedicate it to her
Organise to hang out with some friends and/or family
Be kind to others AND YOURSELF!!
Veil or bind your hair!
Wear something red or orange (I normally opt for a red hair tie and bind my hair with it. 2 birds, 1 stone)
Make a devotional playlist for her
While we're on the topic of digital witchcraft, make a pinterest board or a mood board for her
Learn about kitchen witchery

Meet Avery, the Pink Opal Dragon Shifter [Mod Lilac]
Name: Avery
Species: Pink Opal Dragon Shifter
Gender: female
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: fluid/sapphic leaning
Alignment: light
Personality: Avery is bold, bright, and exudes confidence. She is full of life and energy and is always ready for a new adventure. She’s most looking forward to exploring and spending time with her companion doing all sorts of new things from outdoor activities, to art shows, to music festivals and nearly everything in between.
At first she’s generally a little quieter and more shy around new people, but often quickly opens up to be her loud, boisterous self. She laughs loudly, with her head thrown back, without any care of being “too much.” She stands for what she believes in, and has a strong moral compass. She’s usually unafraid to speak her mind, especially when protecting those she cares about. Will not hesitate to punch a N*zi.
Description: Avery is short and spicy. She’s about 5 feet tall, in her human form, and has deep pink hair that comes up to her shoulders. She often dresses in black - everything from dresses, to pants and blouses, with platform boots. She loves nail art and will have her nails done about twice a month. Her hair is shoulder length, and it is naturally a dark pinky maroon color. She often wears black eyeliner in a sharp wing, and lipstick, but not much else makeup.
In her dragon form she is about 6 feet from nose to tip of tail, and only about 4 feet from shoulder to ground. Her scales are dark pink, same as her hair color, and shimmer lighter in the sunlight to a bubblegum pink, and deeper to a maroon in the shade or at night. Her wingspan is about 12 feet from tip to tip, and she quite likes flying.
Hobbies: Avery loves listening to music - everything from bubblegum pop, to heavy metal. She often takes photos at concerts and often helps organize charity concert events. She has dabbled in drawing and painting and sometimes returns to those hobbies. She also likes to go out for long walks, and explores new neighborhoods, both astral and physical.
Likes: music, art, concerts, activism, museums, fashion and makeup, spicy foods, puzzles, watching videos online for inspiration
Dislikes: bigotry, homophobia, bugs with “too many” legs like millipedes, sunburn, the feeling of wet clothing on the skin
Favorite color/s: pink, teal, purple
Favorite animal: Emu
Favorite Song: Labour by Paris Paloma
Closest spirit friend: Mainey the Hedgehog Pixie Shifter
Magic: Avery is great with glamours and self-love/self-care magic, spellwork, and rituals.
Companionship: Avery would do best in a medium sized family (no more than 50 members total). She loves her freedom and the ability to move around and explore without feeling weighed down, but she’s really looking for a home base to return to, and to build some closer friendships.
Having someone to help ground her sometimes more chaotic energy is necessary, but she doesn’t want to be the main/solo companion for someone. She feels that that would create too much stress on her to “perform.” She’s not looking for romance at this time. She WOULD like a vessel and is open to ideas.
Bonding activities: Exploring your neighborhood - checking out any local shops, museums, art exhibits, parks, quiet corners etc; listening to music together, watching videos or reels together, especially makeup based or music based ones; potentially going to activism events if you’re comfortable with that; going for walks; she’d like to take you on a flight via astral once you’re comfortable with that.
Price: $22.22
Conjurer: Mod Lilac
If you're feeling called to Avery please apply for her here

Water, the flow, the womb, the origin of life, the element that is in constant movement and transformation. Water flows through our bodies and across the earth; we depend on it for life. As far back as we can remember, humans have been intimately connected with water, both physically and spiritually. According to the theory of evolution we emerged from aquatic sources and ancient creation stories from around the globe told us life on earth originated from waters. Ancient Civilizations around the globe built the first cities near water sources. Water is deep, receptive, and purifying, and represent both the life giver and the death bringer.
Some of the most common water spiritual correspondences are:
Orientation: West
Qualities: Emotion, Intuition, Flexibility, Receptivity
Magical Weapon: Cup, Cauldron, Mirror, Comb
Rituals: Divination, Purification, Healing, Blessings, Transformation

Natural elements: rain, thunderstorms, snow, ice, fog, seashells, starfish, pearls, dolphins, seahorses, frogs, toads, fish, turtles.

Tips for Witchcraft in the Dorm
If you're in a situation where you have a roommate that may not be open to your craft, you're in the broom closet and being in college makes it even harder to practice, you're starting your witch journey while in college, you couldn't take a full sized altar to school, or you're like me and attend a private Christian college (ugh) that makes you feel the need to be discreet, this post is for you!
If you have an altar: Find a way to downsize your altar. For some this isn't a huge thing, but I'm the kind of gal that liked to go all out with my space. The best way to do it is to find a box or container that can be moved easily and has all your essentials, and only take what can fit. If you can't fit certain tools, it's best to find substitutions. A small bowl that can hold water will work just as well as a crystal ball. Putting herbs in bags will allow more room than jars.
Alternative to candle magic: I know the urge to put tape over that fire alarm is real but I'm unfortunately a goody two shoes. Luckily wax burners exist and you can get all the fun of candle magic minus the flame. I like to draw sigils into my wax before melting it for spellwork; and you can get all sorts of different colored wax. If you need unscented wax, you can buy white wax and dye it.
Some discreet types of magic to look into:
Tea. Tea. Tea. I cannot stress how useful tea magic is. There's loads of information about it right here on Tumblr! Most dorms allow ectric teapots and tea is easy to store.
Knot magic. Here's a great post about it. Absolutely any kind of spell can be done with a knot and it's super easy to implement into everyday activities.
Moon magic. Guys, the moon is awesome. Work with it. Moon water is a great manifestation tool and corresponding anything with the moon phases is an instant boost. It's also free and super easy.
Sigils. Really fun to learn and really easy to draw in a couple journals, on a foggy window, in your tea as you stir it, or on your skin. I recommend Pinterest if you're trying to find tutorials.
Runes. I like to cast physical runes but there's lots of ways to use these in everyday magic. Each symbol has their own meaning and there's an abundance of information on them. Similar to sigils, I like to draw them on things.
Extra tips:
Learn the correspondences for each day of the week. Doing little things for each day will keep you connected to your craft as you get through college.
Anything can be a chalice. Cleanse that cup and you're good to go.
Astrology is your friend.
I'm here for you. College is hard. Dorming can be a pain too.
I hope this helps someone. Reblog if you can. Love you all!
