The intention of today's Sigil is to help open the heart and mind, to allow the user to have deeper compassion, understanding, and empathy. This Sigil will also help the user to come to peace with past hurt and pain, by helping them to see the situation in its entirety.

I recommend placing this Sigil over one's heart, while affirming that you wish to stretch your heart, mind, and soul for deeper awareness and compassion. This Sigil can also be used to help other people come to deeper understanding as well. Simply write the person's name in the heart to help them to understand the user, and see things from their perspective.

Inktober 24 - Chop

My inspiration for today's Sigil comes from the 1970s film Wicker Man. As part of their May Day celebration, the villagers would take turns having swords be droped over their head as everyone chants "chop, chop, chop, chop." One by one, they all would take their turns, swords going down, waiting to see if they were the one to get their head chopped off, swords going back up, next person, until... a person with rabbit's head takes his turn and with a quick chop, off comes his head, revealing that it was false, and that it had been staged the whole time.

.

The intention for this Sigil is to misdirect attacks intended for user, and be directed towards nothing. Like the false rabbit head, any attack would prove to be empty.

.

.

I used imagery from the film (the six swords and the false rabbit head), and the rune Kenaz to illuminate the rabbit head as a spotlight intended to steer the attacks from the user, to the dummy instead. I also used the 'thorns' from the rune Thurisaz to also help direct attacks towards the rabbit head, and also keep the user protected.

.

.

I recommend changing out this Sigil at least once a month, or immediately after you know its done its job. New ones can replace the other, but don't let it linger too long.

Today's Bindrune is gain clarity through muddy situations. Most of us have been through situations where we were unsure of what was happening right under our noses, someone's true intention, or even our own intentions as well.

.

.

I used the Runes, Fehu (Freyja's Magic), Ansuz (Odin's Wisdom), and Naudhiz (the Norns Insight) to gain the ability to see the bigger picture of a situation, and the wisdom to understand true intentions. I also used Eiwaz and Sowilo to help illuminate the situation. The all seeing eye on top is to be able to look above all the muddy water for clarity, and the cup below is to store all of the truths. One of the hardest parts is second guessing what is a truth and what is not. The cup is intended to keep the truths known and understood.

I recommend focusing on this Bindrune when looking back on a 'muddy' situation. Let your mind go, recount all of what you know, and let the unknown come to you.

Today's Sigil is to help the user locate things they have coveted, and find them at a price they can afford.

.

.

I used the American dollar sign for the base, but off kiltered the center line and added the rune Fehu to bring abundance to both the user and the seller. The horizontal line represents balance, the arrows towards the hearts is to help the user find what they are looking for, and the arrows pointing towards the dollar sign is to find the item at the price the user can afford.

.

.

I recommend carrying this Sigil with you when you're out looking for items for an altar, a project, or shopping for someone and have no idea what to get them.

Today's Sigil is to stop 'Energy Vampires,' people who purposefully or unknowingly, steal the energy from other people. A lot of people do this and are completely unaware of it. They might need the extra energy to help them get through a rough situation, or difficult time in their life. Energy Vamps on the other hand, can never seem to get enough energy and have become so accustomed to stealing energy from other people, they don't know how to get it from anywhere else. This Sigil was created to stop those kinds of people, and keep them away.

.

.

The black dot represents the Energy Vampire, and the half circle is the flow of energy. I used a lot of teeth to represent biting like how a vampire bites its victim for blood. I used four Isa (ice) runes to stop the Energy Vampire in their tracks. The open circle represents the user, with a spiral representing that all their energy will be trurned to them in and it will come back with more energy than before (the starburst.)

It can be carried with the user to ward off Energy Vampires, it can be hung over the door to prevent Energy Vampires from entering (great for parties), and it can also be given to an Energy Vampire to help them break their habits and learn how to get energy on their own.

Today's Sigil is to help break bonds. So often in our lives, we make connections to people and situations that do not always serve our highest purpose, hold us back, or are out right toxic. A common energetic solution that is recommended, is to cut the cords or break the bonds with that source. There are many different methods, and this Sigil can be used to help break the user from bonds.

It can be placed over a photo of the person the user wishes to break bonds with, it can be carried with the user to help prevent a bond from being reconnected, and it can be placed in a journal to help the user release them from the bonds of past trauma to prevent triggers.

I used the Astrological symbols for Aries ♈, Leo ♌, Sagittarius ♐, and I included the symbol for the planet Mars . I used the Runes Kenaz, torch and Othala, hearth fire. And I included the Kanji or Chinese character for fire, along with a simplified symbol of fire as well. All of these symbols are surrounding the symbol of the Sun, our greatest source of power and fire.

Can be used by anyone looking to connect more with the element of fire, by those looking to 'rekindle' the fire in them, and those who want to honor the fire within us all.

Today's Bindrune is a spell to help release a person from feeling stuck. Whether it be a bad situation, obsessive thoughts, trauma, anxiety, or whatever makes us feel stuck, this Bindrune will help release the user from being stuck and help them to begin to heal.

.

I used the rune Halagaz, to destroy the 'bottle' that makes us feel trapped. I put a circle around the figure to give them protection, lots of freeing, flowing lines to assure them they are free, and surrounded the figure with the rune Berkana to help heal the user.

.

.

This Bindrune can also be used by those struggling with substance abuse and addiction. As a former alcoholic myself, breaking free from my need for the bottle was one of the most feeing things I could do for myself.

Today's Bindrune is to help heal Swollen bodies and to give pain relief. I've been pretty sick the last few days 😷 and have been feeling pretty Swollen myself, so this is another one for myself.

.

.

The figure lying down in bed has the runes Isa (ice) and Laguz (water) to help ice swolleness and cool fevers. Above the figure is Berkana, the healer. I wrapped it all up and tucked it in with a heart, and added two Tiwaz runes for success. On the sides I added two more Laguz and Isa runes with an arrow to help aim relief right in the areas needed most.

I recommend hanging this over the bed of a sick friend or family member, it can also be used by healers when applying ice to help give it an extra boost, and it can also be drawn on medicine bottles to boost its healing qualities.

URUZ!! Today's Bindrune is to help those who feel weak to find their strength again. This design is centered on the horns of power from Uruz, the rune of the primordial cow Auđumbla. At the beginning on time in Ginnungagap, the void, when fire and ice crashed together, the first being Ymir came into existence by Auđumbla licking away at the salty ice until he was freed. Auđumbla is nourishment, strength, and determination.

Use this Bindrune when you are feeling weak and exhausted, to give you the strength and determination to keep going. It can be carried with the user to give them more strength throughout the day, it can be hung by the bed or by the couch to help the user to get up and go, and it can be drawn in a journal to help give the user the strength to continue a project or self care.

Today's promt felt like a freebe for me since Runes are already so Angular to begin with. So today I decided to work a spell for me and for those struggling with their art. I know more than a few people who could use a burst of inspiration to create their own unique style and image, and that's what this Bindrune's focus is.

.

.

I used the runes Ansuz to bring wisdom for the burst of inspiration. Fehu, abundance that comes from hard work. And I used Naudhiz, to help the user find their image. There is a warning with this Bindrune though. If the user finds themselves going back to their old ways, they will be forced to change, (Hagalaz and Saturn.) The swords represent the hardships that we all endure, but the lessons we get from pushing through.

Inktober 14 - Clock

Today's Bindrune is to allow for more time to complete projects, assigns, and other endeavors. I used the rune Dagaz (dawn) as the base for clock hands stopping to allow for more time. Dagaz is the dawn, it isn't day nor night, it is the time between time, and it where we can squeeze in a few more hours in when we need to. The second hand stopping in the center, in it's midpont, allows us to use that in between time.

It can be hung in a work space, under a work desk, or the project name can be written on the Bindrune and then burned so that the user does not have to 'burn the midnight oil' to complete the project.

Inktober 13 - Guarded

Today's Bindrune is to help release shields for overly guarded people. Oftentimes, after severe trauma, many people put up their guard like a steel cage all around them and its difficult to release it. This Bindrune helps the user to release that shield to allow for healing to begin, when they are ready. I used the rune Algiz (Divine Protection and connection) behind the figure to assure the user that they are still protected. I secured each side of the figure with threw runes Berkana (healing) and Wunjo (happiness and joy) to give the user "hand rails" to hold onto for stability of healing and joy if they feel like they will fall.

It can be used by energy healers to help their clients to be open for healings, by those who are ready to start their healing after trauma, and those who are naturally very grounded and guarded to be more open. I do not recommend carrying this in public spaces, it should be used in places where the user feels safe and protected.

Inktober 12 - Whale

Today's Bindrune is a staff dedicated to Njord, Vanir god of the Sea and ask for his blessing in the hunt. Whale hunting is still practiced today by many Native American tribes and other groups who gain permission to do so. The Norse would hunt whales as well, living off its rich fatty blubber during the winter months.

The intention of this Bindrune is to ask Njord for his blessing for a good hunt, not specifically whales, but whatever will help keep balance in the sea. I used the rune Tiwaz for success in the hunt, Laguz (water) to honor Njord, and a circle up top to signify an empty stomach to be filled by the hunt.

It can be hung or etched onto a boat, enscribed onto a weapon, and it can also be carried by the hunter.

Inktober 11 - Cruel

Today's Bindrune is a banishing spell to keep cruel & malicious people out of the users life. I used the rune Hagalaz (destruction) being stabbed by the 7 of Swords to represent the pain and hurt caused by Cruel people, contained in a circle and arrows to direct it away.

It can be hung on the inside of a door to keep malicious people from the home, it can be worn around the neck to protect one's self in public spaces, and it can be placed on a sacred place to protect the user's magical practice.
