It's May 10th and thus it's my birthday once again... I didn't make birthday posts last year 'cause I was travelling, but it's okay, not much changed in 2 years. Hey, maybe next year I'll finally change the works in the collage! 💪

I still think the best gift for an author is attention 🥺👉👈 I draw fanart, make edits, take photos and write fanfics for Sonic the Hedgehog (esp Sonadow) and would appreciate if you reblog this post and/or some of my other creative posts~ You can also give your support to some of the projects I worked on! Hey all! There's a campaign for eSims again which are in dire need!!!

For donating at least 16$ you can get 237 games in one bundle, valued at almost 900$!

They are donating all proceeds to Crips for eSims for Gaza!! Who have helped donate and top up over 18 000 eSims for people in Ghazzah!!

so so so happy we finally got to collaborate for a bigger project! can't wait to receive my printed copy of the book and look at it irl too 💜

this was technically my "secondary" contribution (because my main piece was the 06 artwork), but in my heart it's very much the main one, and it was a blessing to work with annette's ideas and feedback and same-brain and of course the beautiful poem itself ✨

the composition of the spread is partially inspired by Please Save My Earth, which has lots of gorgeous pages and panel layouts featuring the Earth — especially when it's contrasted against plants and space, which is also a very sonic thing (not to mention SA2 itself took inspiration from PSME as well, so we're making a full circle here!) 🌿🌺🌏🌌🌿 here it's overall more subtle of course and just a transition from space to Earth, but the left page of the spread is a more direct reference when viewed separately.

They're wanting to change the definition of water to see which water would qualify under the Clean Water Act...I wish I was making this up.

What this means, in layman's terms, is that not all water or wetlands would be under environmental protections, so some could legally be dumped in, scraped out of, or otherwise harmed.

The comment period for this is pretty short (just a few days left!) so please submit comments asking for ALL water to be protected.

Just an extremely Normal thing to say

Reminder they want to increase the budget for ICE from 3.5 to 45 billion dollars.

Reminder the majority of that will be for building new detention centers.

Reminder ICE are *currently* detaining tourists who can pay for a plane ticket home and people with visa issues that were already resolved, because they have to make quota so Trump can brag about the numbers going up.

Reminder most of these people were already in the immigration system - that's why they were easy to detain.

Reminder this is all at taxpayer expense.

Reminder these are people.

Casual reminder that the Palestine Children's Relief Fund has a 97% on Charity Navigator and you should donate to it if u can. Despite the limited external aid that's been allowed into Gaza, they've been able to distribute a lot of aid internally. And they are providing needed aid to Lebanon.

feeling very frustrated about the ways people are talking about hurricane Milton. lots of needless, borderline fear mongering language with very little actual helpful information.

Make sure you have an evacuation plan if the order is given or if you've already been told to leave.

there is also a code for free Ubers to evacuate effected counties, as well as shuttles from evacuating counties to nearby storm shelters

Prepare/secure your home

Find your nearest shelter and be prepared to leave
