Quote
“Young creatives have to really understand the concept of time. I’ve been doing design for 18 years. My retail store has been open for 11 years. Success, in whatever form, takes time. A lot of young people that I talk to, maybe because they grew up on the Internet, are stuck with the idea that if you post a YouTube video and it doesn’t get a million likes, it sucks. If you love the process, it shouldn’t matter how long it takes. If you love what you do every day, I would want it to take longer, because then you can continue to do it every day.” - Jeff Staple
As I was working on my blog post this morning, I took some time to look up some blogs/people that I would like to start following. As I was searching around, I came across this great quote from Jeff Staple, the man behind STAPLE DESIGN, STAPLE PIGEON, and THE REED SPACE. This quote is a great reminder that success doesn't happen overnight, and sometimes the greatest of ideas, may take the longest to come to life!

TRYING TO FIGURE OUT TUMBLR
Ok, here is the bottom line. I love the whole concept of blogging. The concept that you can be your own author by posting any story that you choose to tell. Maybe you want to write a post about your job, your business, a personal experience, your favorite sports team. Anything you can think of that interests you, or that you feel is important to share with others, you can write about. Blogging has allowed all of us to become an author with absolutely no limitations. Now...whether or not anyone wants to read about the stories you choose to tell and the opinions you express is a whole other concept haha. We can discuss that at another time. As for now, I'd really like to find out more about blogging, the benefits of doing so, and how to create a viable, credible blog. I have attempted to start my own blog entitled PASSION & PRIDE using TUMBLR, and at times have found it somewhat easy to use. Unfortunately, because I have not consistently submitted a post daily or even weekly for that matter, I find myself either forgetting or not understanding some of the basic features of TUMBLR. So I figure I would submit my first post, in another attempt at more consistent posts, asking experienced TUMBLR users for some advice on the following:
- How to correctly share my blog posts to my Facebook page?
- When using pictures in a post, what is the best option to use; TEXT or PHOTO?
- When trying to create a custom, viable and credible BLOG, is TUMBLR the best option? If not, what are better options if not the best option?
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. Here's to another attempt at becoming an active blogger!

I was pretty pumped to find my #IPod #Shuffle and start using it now that I have started running! So I get home, take the time to create a new #playlist that would make me feel like #RockyBalboa running through the streets of #Philadelphia ...I update it, throw on my #Nike gear and some kicks and off I go! Before I leave I can't figure out why my playlist won't start from the beginning, so I ask @denimdinosaur what's wrong with my IPod Shuffle...she says "NOTHING...that's why it's called the IPOD SHUFFLE" !!! Touché...Ahhhh Haaa! Now I get it!! Hahahahahah (at casa de digmi )

MY MONTH OF MAY
Now that June is in full swing, I thought it would be a great time to look back at an unforgettable month of May that I was so fortunate to enjoy with so many great people. The month couldn't have started off any better than spending it at one of my favorite places ever..."The Duck Pond", Bethpage Ballpark, home to the "Back 2 Back" Atlantic League Champion Long Island Ducks. On Friday May 2nd, the Ducks had their 2014 season home opener which included the championship ring ceremony celebrating the 2013 Atlantic League Championship. After being a part of that organization for 8 seasons, it was extremely special to go back for the first time as a fan. Of course, as they always have, the Long Island Ducks fans made my appearance unforgettable with and incredibly warm welcome when I was announced to get my championship ring. It was so great to see so many familiar faces, both fans and teammates, and I was extremely grateful to be able to share such a special night with my family and close friends who came out to cheer me on one last time. That night was another reminder of how awesome my 8 years with that organization really was. It truly was great to be back.

Following the Long Island Ducks 2014 Home Opener and Championship Ceremony, I had to start preparing for the the first ever live edition of our DIGMI DISCUSSIONS Interview Series, which featured New York Mets Opening Day starting pitcher Dillon Gee at the DIGMI NATION Store on Thursday May 8th. With the help of the entire DIGMI Team, this event turned out to be one of our best. The DIGMI NATION Store hosted a full house of guests which included New York Mets fans, local customers, little league baseball players, and the video crew from News 12 Long Island, who all came out to hear Dillon talk about his journey to the Major Leagues, what it is like to play for the New York Mets and compete in the Big Apple, and why the DIGMI brand resonates so strongly with him. It was an incredible experience for me to have the opportunity to sit down one on one with Dillon and conduct this live edition of our DIGMI DISCUSSIONS Interview Series. I can't say enough about how honest and candid he was answering our questions and interacting with our guests. Dillon was kind enough to take time after the interview portion of the event to talk with News 12 Long Island, as well as sign autographs for all of our guests. And to close out the night, Dillon and his family spent some time and took some pictures with our DIGMI Street Team. We couldn't have picked a better player and person for our first live edition of our DIGMI DISCUSSIONS Interview Series.

Things just kept rolling as the Month of May continued. Our DIGMI DISCUSSIONS Interview with Dillon Gee was followed by an exciting week of baseball in the New York City area, as the New York Mets and New York Yankees would go head to head in this years "Subway Series". To help promote this battle of New York teams, MTV2's show OFF THE BAT had another one of our friends and supporters, Eric Young Jr. of the Mets on as one of their special guests. During the episode which featured Fat Joe and the MLB Fan Cave crew competing in their special "Segway Series", EY Jr. was seen rockin' the new DIGMI Subway T-shirt the entire episode. This would be the first time that DIGMI was seen on an MTV produced show. It was awesome to see one of our designs on a platform like MTV, and gave myself and all those involved with the DIGMI dream a very well deserved sense of accomplishment. Big thanks to EY Jr. for being a good friend and supporter of "The Guy In The Tie".

Everyone knows I love the month of May...probably because its my birthday month. For most of my life, I was always playing baseball on my birthday. Not this year. For the first time since I can remember, I was able to make plans and so something a little different. Ok, maybe not that different haha! I mean it really couldn't be my birthday without being at the ballpark right? So this year, thanks to my beautiful wife, I had the coolest and best birthday ever. Steph knows how much of a Derek Jeter fan I am, and how I want to see him and Yankees play as much as I can as this is is the last season of his career. Knowing that, she surprised me with some Yankees tickets for my birthday...but not at Yankee Stadium. She got us tickets to see the Captain in Chicago at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs. Cmon!!!! How sick is that. The New York Yankees playing in arguably the most historic baseball stadium ever. It was dream come true. This place was more than its cracked up to be. The ivy covered wall, the Wrigley rooftops, and Wrigleyville were just some of what made this place so special. Without question, this was the greatest birthday gift I have ever gotten (ok, maybe tied with my new Ford Mustang I got when I turned 17 haha). Chicago was a blast, and I had so much fun spending the week out in the Windy City. From watching Derek Jeter line a base hit to right field, sitting in the bleachers in center field underneath their iconic scoreboard (the same scoreboard that Roy Hobbs hit a home run off of in The Natural), to hanging with some great new friends, shopping up a storm, enjoying an incredible dining experience at RPM Italian, and enjoying some Chicago style pizza, our trip to Chi-Town was unforgettable. I can't wait to go back. Thanks Niiii for an awesome birthday present.

And this great month of May ended with the two hugs I've been waiting for the most...finally got to see my two little sisters after months of being away at college and abroad in Italy. It was so good to see Amelia and Jennifer at my parents Memorial Day BBQ. I can't believe how grown up they have become, and can't say enough just how proud of them I am. It is safe to say that I am the world's proudest big brother. I Absolutely love these two girls, and they were the perfect ending to an awesome month of May. Hoping the rest of the summer is just as memorable!

Here's my #TBT Bringing it back to #2002 when I used to listen to this #soundtrack on repeat, especially the title track #8Mile This album was literally the soundtrack of my journey from my @SetonHall days to my first few seasons in the Minor Leagues! I'm sure I wasn't the only one out there that felt these lyrics... "Sometimes I get upset because I ain't blew up yet" .... "Not a moment goes by that I don't pray to the sky please I'm begging you God, please don't let me be pigeoned holed in no regular job" .... "Who must I show to bust my flow, where must I go, who must I know" .... "Maybe I need a new outlet, I'm starting to doubt sh%t, I feeling a little skeptical who I hang out wit" .... "I got every ingredient all I need is the courage" Def one of my favorite #Eminem songs of all-time. Pumps me up every time! I guess all us have out own 8 Mile!
