Capybaras are misleading
Do you know what capybara is in Hungarian?
Vízidisznó. We also have kapibara, but let's focus on the afromentioned one. It directly translates to: "Water boar" IT'S NOT EVEN A BOAR IT'S A FRIGGIN RODENT THAT'S ONLY SMALLER THAN BSD'S DOSTOEVSKY- And we also have hippopotamus. Viziló. Water horse. What were the ancestors on when creating this language. I mean it's kind of understandable why these animals were named this was but they're still misleading lol.

Crows and the Hungarian kicsinyítő jelző
As you might know, crow in hungarian is szarka. I was having a conversation with someone and they told me about a time someone suggested that szarka without the diminutive adjective would be szar, meaning shit.
The diminutive adjective in Hungarian is generally slapping -ka/-ke at the end of the word, as an example: ház|acs-ka, kocsi-ka, asztal-ka.
Házacska is a bit different, but let's put that aside.
Instead, if we grab the word for crow and add ka at the end, we get: szarkaka.
Shit shit. You're basically saying shit poop.
The proper word would be szarkácska by the way.
I love this language so much. (≡^∇^≡)

About a Hungarian expression
The Hungarian language is really strange sometimes, because the phrase "Lesüti a szemét" means "He/she closes their eyes". Nothing wrong with that. However, if you directly translate it you get: "They baked their eyes down/off" WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND THIS I NEED TO KNOW-

Tumblr media
A group of crows is called a murder. This fascinating fact inspired me to draw this comic that has such crappy handwriting that even bird defecation looks better. No, but seriously, imagine Nikolai finding a murder and getting all excited 'cause he loves birds and goes to yap Fyodor's ear off, who's like "Ah...murder. What's so unusual about it?" One is thinking bloody murder and the other is just infatuated with birds.
