A step-by-step of sorts, of my latest Frodo art doll. I've made a few of these over the years. This one has already gone to her new owner.

He is my favorite character of the books and film. He has a very femenine, lunar energy that really resonates with me.

its the tapeworm scene. I'm terrified of parasites. I'm ok with sci fi/fantasy parasites, but tapeworms are so very REAL and I hate nature for that.

I'm a fanatic of fantasy, folk and faery tale creatures. I'm also lame as fuck, so logically I love gnomes and dwarves in particular. I always loved gnome dolls, whatin my country (Argentina) we call duendes. Always wanted to be a duendera (a duendes-maker/artisan).

So, I remember circa 2003-4 I rented Cats (1998) on dvd from blockbuster, and even tho I'm not a musical fan, I fell in love with it. Still not sure why I decided to rent it... Anyway, Skimbleshanks became my favorite character of them all. Something about that song and his cheerful attitude warmed my cold heart. Here's my version of it. Ooak art doll, made posable with a wire frame.

here's my tribute to jonathan davis, one of my favorite people in the whole world. yes, it's a creepy weird doll. that's what i do, i'm a doll maker, and aparently my dolls are very creepy, tho they're not creepy to me. this one is part of my personal collection. i kept the molds so i could make another one, if someone wanted to commission one.

i was actually thinking i might make another one for myself, but this time make it follow the leader era jonathan, with a kilt and his little mustache. maybe one day.

I've always been into clown dolls. I don't find them (or their real life counterpart) scary at all. It's sad how clowns got such a bad rep.

Of all clown types, pierrot is my favorite, from an aesthetic pov. I've seen some beautiful pierrot-themed bed rooms that looked so dreamy!

I decided that from now on I wont try to make dolls based on what I imagine other people want, but only make commissioned work (with a down payment in advance), or dolls that I'd like in my own collection, that way, if they don't sell, I don't mind keeping them.

A few months ago, when I shared this doll on FB, I was so excited about it. Making it was so hard, but i felt really confident and proud of the end result. Doll collectors and makers had a very possitive reaction, but Bowie fans HATED it lol. It made me really sad for a while :/ To the point of me ending up hating the doll and having negative feelings regarding the making process of this doll.

I've always been fascimated by aliens and the whole area 51 conspiracy theory. I guess growing up in the 90s watching the x-files had that effect on me. I also remember watching that alien authopsy on tv, man it was so creepy.
