In fact, I really like such references(?) with a game and real movies/others from the 1940s-1950s...I really respect this approach and even watched a couple of films starring Marlon Brando. Now I only see Vito in him, lol.
· · ─────── ·✧· ─────── · ·
And also keep my favorite screenshots from the game. Such a beautiful aesthetic, ah...

Sorry for the shitpost, but I couldn't help but share... Thanks for your attention!

Zavesky Observatory — Mafia 2
Located in Hillwood, northeast of Empire Bay. Named after Peter Zavesky (1850—1911), it's home to the largest planetarium dome on the eastern seaboard. The construction took six years, and was funded by Carlo Falcone, who's known as a generous benefactor with a love of astronomy. The facility is used by universities throughout the region for scientific and educational purposes, and includes a picturesque park with a view of the city. There is also an older, abandoned observatory located nearby.
planetarium brochure text:

× | Hello everyone! I'm back with the headcanons collection again. I decided to do it with Henry this time, I hope you like it. I hope you don't mind if these headcanons are more specific...Anyway, enjoy them. | ×
ATTENTION: My English is bad, so if some words are translated incorrectly, please take note. Thank you.

My collection of headcanons on Henry
⊱─━━━━━━⊱༻♱༺⊰━━━━━━─⊰
Headcanons based on canonical facts or close to the canon
• Henry goes to church every Sunday, which indicates that he is a devout Catholic. He criticizes Joe for not going to church, pointing out a disdainful attitude towards Barbaro's lifestyle. In addition, he immediately recognizes the line from the Bible quoted by Bruno: "Exodus, Chapter 22. Verse 24." Most likely, Tomasino takes religious rituals and traditions quite seriously.
Reference: The 12th chapter of "Mafia 2"
• Henry most likely has autistic traits/symptoms. He has a poor understanding of emotional reactions, is physically more susceptible to injury, and his constant irritability is more likely due to sensory overload. Has difficulty communicating: may not understand some jokes or sarcasm. This leads to misunderstandings, as if he takes everything "head-on" and "seriously." Tomasino also has problems expressing feelings: he often looks indifferent, although he experiences strong feelings. His speech is quite poor, it is clearly seen when Vito asked him and asked where he was from. His answers are so monosyllabic, as if answering an answering machine or rehearsed in advance.
Naturally, he would not even have suspected such a peculiarity of thinking, although if he had found out exactly what was wrong, he would hardly have been thrilled.
Reference: 3rd chapter "Mafia 2", 11th chapter "Mafia 2"
• Henry is reserved and has few friends. Maybe he didn't understand the concept of "friendship" until he met Vito and Joe. He told Vito that friendship was not appropriate in a criminal environment (Similar to what Sam from the first mafia said), but unlike Sam, Tomasino still tried to keep in touch with Scaletta and Barbaro, and also kept his promise not to kill Leo Galante. This further proves that with more screentime, Henry would gradually understand not only friendship, but also gradually trust both of them.
Reference: The 11th chapter of "Mafia 2"
• According to Frankie Potts' files, he has several registered addresses, but mostly he lives at the Empire Arms Hotel. In fact, this is a strange detail, because why would he stay in a hotel if he already has a house? Personally, I think it shows him, on the contrary, as not quite an economic person. Usually, the price of the hotel also includes cleaning and linen change procedures, breakfast and other services. Most likely, Henry registered these addresses to deflect suspicion from himself, because permanently staying in a hotel without a "home" would raise questions.
Reference: Frankie Potts' dossier on Henry (by the way, his whole family and date of birth are also listed there)
• Rather, Henry grew up in a very isolated society. Upon arriving in Empire Bay, he came under the protection of family friend and ruthless mafia boss Alberto Clemente. Now, as a full-fledged member of the Clemente family, he was considered a loyal soldier and a respected killer. He's good at negotiating, but he doesn't have much contact about personal matters outside of work. His connections with people are based only on certain goals, deep or friendly as such — he probably doesn't even know. Perhaps they didn't pay enough attention to him in his own family, and his father only "helped" one of his sons with connections. He rarely and little speaks about the Tomasino family as a whole, even about his wife he was silent. The only family member he mentioned was his father.
In fact, Henry's attitude towards the Clemente family is not the most pleasant. When he informed Vito that Clemente was now dead, he showed no sympathy and confessed his indifference to the former boss of the crime family. Most likely, many of the guys in Clemente's family disliked him from the very moment he arrived, because they believed that he was receiving privileged treatment and that his success was not deserved (his father got him a job and the like). Besides, most of them grew up in poverty, while he didn't know about it. They perceive Henry as a spoiled young man, which did not improve the situation, because Tomasino himself behaved aloof.
Reference: The 11th chapter of "Mafia 2"

Headcanons that complement his personality
• Henry doesn't know much about technology. He doesn't really recognize the new, although if necessary, overstepping himself, he would still register in some social network. I would go with the same phone, even if it was outdated. At the same time, he would complain about the performance of his own phone (I wonder why?).
• Besides English, Tomasino studied French because his wife was originally from France. However, after her death, he stopped even listening to songs in French and generally speaking it, because it constantly reminded him of her. By the way, it's interesting that "Bettina" translates as "My God is a vow Dedicated to God." It's quite ironic, knowing that Henry is a Catholic.
• Has the skills to play the organ and the violin. In his youth, he attended music school and went to church every Sunday, where he participated in the choir. He can sing a little bit, although he doesn't particularly like this activity.
• Prefers classical music more. But if he lived in "our time", he would listen to Depeche Mode, London After Midnight, IAMX, soap&skin, Electrophoresis(Электрофорез), Grad!ent, And One, Fish in a birdcage, and some gothic music.
• Is a big fan of theatrical art. He would occupy the most luxurious seats, criticize everyone who did not follow the dress code (although there is no such thing in theaters). He himself is unlikely to perform on stage, but watching the "show" is always not against it.
• Henry has a weakness for cats. Although he didn't start them himself, but after making sure that no one was watching him, he would secretly pat one of them on the head and maybe even try to feed her. Being a closed person, he will hide this, but sooner or later he may admit it himself.
• He has a whole collection of ties with different prints. They're all made of expensive materials and he won't let anyone touch them. Especially Joe. Once, he nevertheless touched one of Tomasino's ties, and after that he would not allow anyone to "touch" his things.
• If he had survived the attack by the Chinese from the Empire Bay Triad, his health would have deteriorated greatly. Yes, it wasn't perfect from the very beginning, especially after the "hole" in his leg, but this case would have finished Henry off both mentally and physically. Most likely, a huge scar would remain on his right eye for life, and his eyesight would deteriorate. Because of this, he would wear glasses and recover for a long time. He would also walk with a cane because of his eye and injured leg. His pain threshold is much lower than that of Vito, whom Joe describes as "tenacious" and that he does not need to go to Dr. El Greco.
In fact, he hates the treatment process, and even after staying with El Greco, he felt like he was in a cage. Tomasino hates the concept of "diseases", considering how he reacted to the pain in his leg.
• He is quite fastidious in food and drinks, preferring red wine, refined and expensive, rather than its cheap counterpart. Therefore, because of this, he can spend hours studying the menu. This caution, this preferred choice, does not allow him to go beyond the ordinary; he does not like to try new tastes. He finds solace in the familiar, in what has already established itself as the highest manifestation of culinary art. That is why Henry chooses only what makes up the golden moments on his table: all the best, high-quality and delicious, which only suits his exquisite taste.
• He would be the kind of friend who has everything he needs with him, from money to a whole first—aid kit. This is due to the fact that Tomasino is used to planning ahead, therefore he takes into account the possible consequences. Although when something doesn't go the way he thinks, he breaks down quite easily. He's so irritable by himself, even though he tries not to show it (he's not doing well). He might have taken some medications or sedatives himself to control it.
⊱─━━━━━━⊱༻♱༺⊰━━━━━━─⊰
× | That's all. I will be waiting for your feedback and thoughts about it all. I hope you enjoyed it. I want to add here a couple of songs that are associated with him. So...yeah. | ×

📌 ▍ “ THE PRICE OF HAVING PRIDE AND A NAME ”
﹙Brief analysis of Tommy Angelo﹚

✍🏻 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 ! English is not my native language, so any kind of grammatical or narrative errors are my fault, and I will try to improve for future English content of MAFIA.
This year 2025 marks the official 5th anniversary of the release of the acclaimed remake “Mafia: Definitive Edition” and one of its most notable points is its beloved protagonist, Tommy Angelo. Tommy is a character that in his remake had great improvements compared to his original version, and despite the fact that the original Tommy is not a bad character, His Remake version had a significant leap in his personality and development.
And one thing about Tommy that never changed in any version, but that in my opinion did have better development in his Remake was, Why did he join the Mafia? That's easy to answer if you know the plot, or know the character a little, but Tommy's actions and motives represent a moral dilemma that many of us have faced at some point, But very few people manage to overcome this situation and get through it with clean hands... Unfortunately, Angelo couldn't do it.
Tommy Angelo was a 30-year-old man with a repetitive routine, a miserable and lonely life, as well as being full of problems, he was someone who never in his life experienced wealth, He never experienced being a man of relevance or respect above his own size, he was practically a “Nobody”. He was a nobody with repressed aspirations, who simply lived day to day as he could and without expecting a significant change... Or that was until Paulie and Sam crossed his path, and changed the course of his destiny.
What was initially Tommy's purpose was to compensate for his economic shortcomings, little by little it changed to compensate for his personal desires, those repressed aspirations could come to light, And what were those aspirations? TO HAVE PRIDE, to be respected, to have a name that was relevant to everyone, We have all dreamed of this at some point, being important and respected for who we are, or for what we project to others.
Tommy Angelo wanted to project himself as untouchable and relevant, to be important, and the price of fulfilling that fantasy was giving his life to the Mafia, Selling his loyalty to the Mafia (which, as we know, he ended up betraying), His ambition slowly sank him into the void of distrust, fear, and anonymity.
As human beings, one of our greatest dreams is simply to be remembered in some way or another, to be respected for what we project to others, And that's what Tommy wanted to do, wanting to be important and remembered by everyone is not a bad thing, but when those methods lead to damaging our own integrity or denigrating who we really are, that's when we are taking the wrong path, putting at risk who we really are and what we originally wanted to convey.
Tommy wanted to have pride high, respect high in the skies, and the admiration of others for his shoes, but was it all worth it seeing his sad end? I don't think so, It was a hard lesson that he himself understood until the day of his death, when he knew that all his actions were finally returned to him again.
“The Price of Pride” is something we must take very seriously, never lightly, And that was Angelo's mistake, believing that because he could have a higher status than the rest, his actions would never be returned, And unfortunately what he learned over the years until the day he was murdered, The way his own ambition led him to death is the real lesson of this game.
And that teaching is something that I even want all of us as normal people to stop and think about, Never do something that endangers who you really are, something that damages your integrity or the integrity of the people you love, Because sooner or later your own actions will reveal themselves against you, And the costly price of having that pride will never be comparable to the price of a full life.
Thank you Tommy Angelo, for showing us that you are really no different than any of us, but you are simply the definition of a person who has taken the wrong path believing that they would win.
The price of pride is so unattainable that we just have to learn to build it ourselves, not buy it. ✍🏻

× | Hello everyone. This is the first time I've posted something here, so I don't know exactly how Tumblr works. But despite this, I decided to share with you my collection of headcanons on Vito. | ×
ATTENTION: My English is bad, so if some words are translated incorrectly, please take note. Thank you.

My collection of headcanons on Vito
· · ─────── ·✧· ─────── · ·
Headcanons based on canonical facts or close to the canon
► During his school years, Vito was fond of baseball and even belonged to a baseball club. He often stayed at school after school hours just to play baseball with his teammates. He participated in baseball games organized by the school where he studied. Although she doesn't play baseball as actively as an adult, Scaletta still doesn't mind watching baseball games and has warm feelings for this sport.
Reference: Vito's Room from Chapter 2, «Home Sweet Home»
► Vito most likely has PTSD, which he carefully suppresses. First of all, this is not even related to the war, but to the poor situation of the family. His obsession with "not repeating his father's mistakes" and "making money" may be one of his defensive reactions to repeated negative scenarios playing out in his head.
The arrest and the war also increased the symptoms, especially the second one.
The absence of a fatherly figure also shows his attitude towards Leo Galante, to whom he became attached. And after he found out that he was supposed to die, he didn't survive the stressful situation at all. When Vito learned that the old man would still be alive, he was not immediately happy — it was harder for him to experience negative events, even if he had gone through entire wars.
Reference: The 11th chapter of «Mafia 2»
► Scaletta probably doesn't feel safe at all. It's like you always have to be on your guard, and as soon as you relax, you'll lose everything you wanted, like what happened to the house. He also suffered this loss worse, although he knew that Joe, as his best friend, would help him with this loss. Yes, it's not so revealed in the game, but people with CTSD tend to hide their experiences because they feel guilty for certain injuries and have problems with irritability, anger management, and self-destructive behavior. The use of cigarettes and alcohol also counts. Repeated negative scenarios in his life also left their mark.
Reference: Chapter 11 of «Mafia 2»
► His attitude towards the flirting of the girls from the brothel is quite cautious. One of the options for such behavior is sexual/physical violence. The most interesting thing about this is that Joe doesn't seem to be aware of it and continues to make jokes about the trigger theme. Of course, Barbaro does not wish harm to his friend and you should not blame him for this — most likely Vito himself does not tell what is "inside" him.
It all starts after Vito is released from prison. Eddie and Joe want to go to a brothel with him. They're talking in the car about where they're going, and when Vito heard that they were going to a brothel, his reaction was pretty passive. The interesting thing is that at first he was thinking about something else altogether—a baseball game. Although Scaletta mentions that he would like a woman, he avoids close contact in his actions.
Let's go back to prison: the very moment when he is being bullied by one of the prisoners and his men. Presumably, this wasn't the last time someone tried to do something to him, and that he didn't always get away with it so "easily." Both sexual and physical violence is common in prisons, so unfortunately, the likelihood of a possible number of cases where Vito could have been sexually assaulted or almost raped during the 6 years he spent in prison is very high. Moreover, those men obviously treated him with mockery, harassing and violating the young man's personal space.
Such an experience can cause lasting trauma and even cause a person to stop being interested in sex, and even worse, to be afraid of it.
Reference: The 6th and 7th chapters of «Mafia 2»
► He likes to play billiards. In between missions, he doesn't mind playing a couple of times, to some extent it relaxes him.
Reference: One of the official artworks
► Although he hasn't gone to church for a long time and he goes because of his mother, he still seems religious. However, he treats faith more calmly — he rather accepts it as a tradition and nothing more.
Reference: Chapter 12 of «Mafia 2», Trailer «Christmas Confessions»
► He slept with a teddy bear until he was 18. Due to his high anxiety, Vito sleeps quite poorly, and if he falls asleep, then for a long time (more than 10 hours). He's had trouble sleeping since he was a child, and he's still having trouble sleeping, even though he's trying to deal with it. That's why I slept with a teddy bear in my arms to fall asleep faster. Even though he doesn't do that anymore, the reflex of hugging inanimate soft objects is still there, so he replaced the toys with a pillow.
Reference: Teddy bear in Vito's room from Chapter 2
· · ─────── ·✧· ─────── · ·
Headcanons that complement his personality
► Vito likes bitter coffee, even though he finds the taste disgusting. But it will cheer you up well after restless nights, so he often drinks in the morning.
► If he had lived in «our time,» he would probably have been wearing headphones all the time. His playlist would be something similar to TV Girl, Frank Sinatra, Queen, The Beatles, Lana Del Rey, The Neighborhood, Elvis Presley, Adele.
► In general, Scaletta loves music, especially from the 20th century. Relaxes, helps to distract from bad thoughts. And when driving in a car, it gives a special atmosphere at all, since it often independently selects the radio wave. He might even buy vinyl records and collect them.
► Vito likes dogs. Since childhood, he often fed them on the streets, but could not shelter them in any way due to financial problems. Although he tried to bring a street dog to his home once, his father and mother did not particularly appreciate this act.
► As a child, Scaletta loved stories about westerns and cowboys. He also had a love for farming and horses. Now he only rarely remembers his old hobbies, because the toy horse still reminds him of carefree, albeit difficult times.
► Ran away from home quite often at night because of Joe. But he doesn't mind or regret it — the night time is considered the most comfortable for him. They usually stole things from stores or lingered on the roofs of houses. On rare occasions, small hikes were arranged by lighting a bonfire. They often found abandoned buildings and searched for "paranormal phenomena," although Vito did not believe all this at all, and followed Joe just for the company.
► Very often shared different interests with Francesca. For example, they played with dolls together in early childhood, decorated various things, painted, read books and generally loved spending time together. She, in turn, helped him with his lessons, although sometimes it wasn't as successful as he would have liked.
► He tried to learn how to play the guitar. Once, he and Joe found some pretty interesting things in a dump in the city—a guitar, a bat, and furniture stuff. While Joe swung the bat, Vito examined the acoustic guitar and plucked the strings a couple of times. Sometimes he still thought about learning how to play a couple of songs.
► Even if he couldn't play musical instruments, Vito sings well. As a child, his mother often took him to church choirs and later learned to control his breathing. Occasionally, he hums a couple of favorite songs under his breath, perhaps even sang lullabies to Francesca so that she would not be afraid to sleep.
► He is a friend who would joke with "dad jokes". And in general, even in terms of humor, he is quite old-fashioned.
· · ─────── ·✧· ─────── · ·
× | That's all for now. I really hope that at least someone will like my headcanons. I really want to do it with Henry, Joe. Maybe with Tommy, Paulie, Sam... So I'll see if it makes sense or not. | ×
