Design for one of my minor characters - a Saxhleel from The Elder Scrolls and the adoptive father of one of my main OC’s!

This Saxhleel is based on the banded sea krait.

Dunmeri Lockets

Nearly every Dunmer carries a locket on them. Traditionally these are exchanged between Dunmer on becoming engaged, with a picture of their betrothed, or a lock of their hair contained within. If the couple have more than one child, the couple get a second locket each to accommodate pictures of each child.

Dunmer may exchange lockets with a close friend too. Parents will give their child a locket if the child has to go away for long periods of time.

Today in my exploration of Morrowind I discovered how to scare off cliff racers

(I haven’t heard of this glitch before and love this glitch so much I just had to post about it!)

I’ve repeated this several times successfully now, so it’s a glitch in game’s programming. (I have not got the Unofficial Patch installed, so I’m not sure if the patch would stop this glitch from occurring.)

How this glitch works is that when a cliff racer attacks you, paralyse it. Then levitate above the cliff racer, keep levitating and wait for the paralysis to wear off. The cliff racer should start to fly backwards very fast, if you chase it, it will just keep on flying backwards.

Note: Once you stop levitating this glitch stops and approaching the cliff racer will cause it to start attacking you again.

Go forth and chase the cliff racers far away from Vvardenfell!

Netch Calf makes a Friend

Netches seem like some of Tamriel’s most curious creatures and I love them (and Bantam Guars) so much I just had to paint one!

This piece was very fun to paint. I was able to practice and learn several techniques as well. Overall I am very happy with how this piece turned out!

The Gardening Habits of Sarves and Sarensi

Sarves: Everything is neatly labelled and organised, he wears a sunhat and in general is typically covered in muck. Sometimes walks around with some water or food whilst gardening/farming. Has a detailed watering and planting schedule.

Sarensi: Everything isn’t labelled because where’s the fun in labeling your plants so people know which ones to avoid? Everything’s mixed up together, Most plants are toxic/lethal and Sarensi can identify them all. Doesn’t have a planting schedule. Walks around watering plants whilst drinking sujamma.

Sarves does so much for Morrowind and then we have his sister. Sarensi proceeds to create several new alchemical plants, several toxic plants, breeds a gigantic form of nix-hound, has at least 3 pet cliff racers and punches anyone Sarves is too polite to tell to go away.

Dwemer Submarines (Headcanon)

The existence of Dwemer airships has been confirmed for some time, however the existence of another mode of transport is a source of great debate among Dwemer historians. A Dwemer submarine has never been found, but submarines are mentioned in several Dwemer texts.

The submarine factories have never been found either. It is widely accepted that the submarine factories have sunk beyond reach. Similarly, it is an accepted theory that the Dwemer submarines would have sunk on the disappearance of the Dwemer. It is believed that some of the Dwemer submarines may still be running and navigating Tamriel’s seas as ghost ships.

There are some theories as to the locations of some of the submarines but so far no one has been able to find one as powerful waterbreathing spells, potions or enchantments would be required. In addition, other spells would be required to protect anyone from the crushing pressure of the deep sea.

Despite this, the Thalmor have put a lot of research in waterbreathing and how to survive great depths with the specific aim of locating Dwemer submarines. Though these plans are known only to a select few, the Thalmor aim to recover several Dwemer submarines so they can have a fleet. Having such a fleet would give the Thalmor a large advantage, not just in sea battles, but in transporting troops to other lands unseen.

Though the Thalmor have yet to recover a Dwemer submarine, they appear to be getting close to locating one.

The location of these submarines is known only to one race - the Selkies. The Selkies believe these machines to be evil and dangerous, and that they should be left alone. So the Selkies have been preventing the submarines from being found. Any time a ship gets close to the location of a submarine, the Selkies may conjure up a powerful storm to cause the ship to turn (this is if the ship has got very close). Selkies may influence the winds or currents to cause the ship to change direction.

There are areas around Tamriel where powerful storms are known to mysteriously appear and disappear along with whirlpools. It is in these areas that it is rumoured many ships have vanished. Either the ship was sunk or was blown off-course so much the ship ended up lost at sea.

This is the daughter of Lady Ellenile ‘Ellie’. She has been raised on Ellie’s stories of her travels and her experiences whilst in Blacklight (meaning she has been taught Redoran values and does follow them to some extent). Her father is a member of Psijic Order and she has spent many years on Artaeum, being trained as a member of the Psijic Order. However due to her mother, she has been taught to rely just as much on her sword and physical fighting capabilities as well as her Magicka.

She loves guar, just like both her parents. (Honestly if she could, she would raise guar for a living)

Painting (plus sketch and inked version) of one of my OC’s, an Altmer from The Elder Scrolls. She’s a member of the Psijic Order and has some ties to House Redoran. Her armour is of a Dunmer design, but is a hybrid of elven armour plates and ebony spikes. These spikes are enchanted to flattened when needed and will flare out when an attacker charges. She made this armour whilst in Blacklight with the help of some Redoran blacksmiths.

This armour is based on a headcanon of mine that the Dunmer modelled their armour after insects and invertebrates. This is why her armour has multiple parts, such as on the arms, as these are replicating how an invertebrate’s legs look. The spikes are specifically based on the spikes found on an insect’s tibia (and are inspired by the spikes on my pet cockroach!)

Her armour was painted with Finetec Gold paints, these paints are honestly amazing.
