UnOrdinary Chapter 204 Review

- Look at that fake little smile. Also Remi definitely has that “I embarrassed myself in front of my friend’s mom” energy

- Here we see a small glimpse of what I thought Valerie was going to be like. Either make her sweet auntie or don’t Uru, my feelings can’t take this tug of war

- That look is pretty terrifying. Almost accusatory in a way. No wonder Arlo was obsessed with being King, I’d take that over being looked in that way by a relative.

- Baby Arlo no longer interested, would rather take a yoga class or something. It’s nice that Arlo is starting to better manage what he focuses on cause this dude was overloaded with everything (I swear in S1 he was part of every major plot line)

- How very bitchy of you Valerie. How about you let the kid express himself and try new things out. You know what’s more important than having some arbitrary title, his mental health

- Honestly, I’m kinda sad that Arlo referred to Sera as a schoolmate. While he’s fine with saying he’s friends with Remi, he isn’t ready to give that distinction to anyone else.

- Arlo looks shooketh. Also bitch, were you paying attention? Rei was Arlos best friend and Arlo almost got stabbed (and possibly killed) when Sera was being kidnapped.

- He already has! He’s decided to give up his King title for stuff that will actually make a difference. The resume comment peaks my interest though. I wonder what Arlo’s planning to do in the future? Maybe he’s planning to take after his aunt.

- My poor baby. He looks almost scared from that comment. The fact that his aunt, the person he looks up to the most, is telling him to stop carrying about his friends and once again dive back into that competitive and mentally draining system probably fucking hurts. But even more so, he’ll probably be tempted that she’s right. After all, his aunt’s an accomplished adult, she’ll know better than them.

- Fuck you Valerie. Don’t bring up the damn parent card. Also since she said “parents” I’m guessing I was wrong in my assumption that his mom’s dead. Or could it be…that his mom really is dead and this bitch brought up the parents thing to guilt him. I don’t think it is, but Arlo probably has strict parents so this is still a fucked up move.

- The thing you call “ambition” is what others call “drive to not disappoint the people who force their expectations on you.” Also look at how dead Arlo looks in this shot. It seems Valerie’s comment shifted Arlo back into his old persona. Really sad that he has to wear this mask even around the person he looks up to the most.

- Ouch. The hesitation makes me hopeful, but it also seems like an admission of defeat. This kid needs better role models ASAP.

- I like how Isen doesn’t really care about UnOrdinary. It’s probably the superhero thing that opened his mind, but it also seems like he just naturally doesn’t care about that type of stuff.

- A few chapters ago we were getting some nice Blyke and Sera interaction and now we got some Isen and Sera bonding going on. May I have the Sera and Remi meal now?

- She’s not a top student for nothing. She figured this all out by observing how John acted and learning Keon’s ability.

- I want to see Claire so badly again. She has such a nice design and personality. I’d love for some SeraClaire bonding or maybe even Claire meeting Remi.

- John never makes anything easy, not on anyone and not on himself. Also Sera being better than 99% of UnO readers and actually remaining neutral.

- Grab the time machine. We’re gonna break him out ourselves.

- Is your ass jealous of your mouth cause of all the shit it spews? This dude is lying straight to John’s face. I mean, points for bravery but I’m pretty sure it’s just plain stupidity.

- John: I don’t trust anyone.   Also John: Trusts the kissass who immediately turns tail.

- John’s paranoia is getting so bad he’s starting to trust Zeke. Someone, anyone, save this man

- Not gonna lie, I find it sweet that John still had even the littlest faith in Remi. It shows that even with all the crap he’s done, there’s still a part of him that wants to trust others. Too bad Zeke ruined it.

I don’t know who I hate more, Valerie or Zeke. But I do know both of them are gonna get a heaping amount of karma in the future
