lately I haven't been satisfied with my process of creating art, namely because I feel like I am always rushing to finish an artwork instead of sitting with it and I end up with art that rarely truly satisfies me. that probably comes from the fact that I want to post it right away so I end up feeling like I am just putting things out there just for the sake of it. so I think I am taking a break from tumblr, maybe at least until the end of the semester so I can come back with a fresh mind and once again try to find joy in the process of creating art and perfecting small details. I have no idea how long I will stick to that decision but yeah, take care guys and I'll see you after some time!

honestly I just want to put Obi-wan and Thrawn in the same room and watch them either annoy the fuck out of each other by sitting down with tea and throwing passive agressive comments or just bond over the fact that they're both weirdly effective lunatics when it comes to battle tactics. Bonus points if there's Ahsoka and Ezra just glaring at them from the background, moments away from just invading the enemy ship and hoping for best.

ANGST! ANGST FOR MY FELLOW THRANTO SHIPPERS!!!!

I can't remember where I read it first, but the concept of Eli taking Rukh's place as Thrawn's assassin in the new canon is an idea that both fascinates and horrifies me. So, uh... yeah, this drawing is the result of me pondering this absolutely horrendous scenario, which hopefully will never come true.

Anyway. The title comes from a beautifully haunting poem by Italian poet Cesare Pavese (Verrà la morte e avrà i tuoi occhi), which I leave you here in the English translation I found on this website:

When Death Comes, It Will Have Your Eyes

When death comes, it will have your eyes- This death that is always with us, From morning till evening, sleepless, Deaf, like an old remorse Or some senseless bad habit.
