NAUGATUCK, Conn. -- Metro North train service on the Waterbury to Bridgeport line was disrupted this morning after someone drove on the train tracks in Naugatuck. At 3:32 a.m., Naugatuck police assisted Metro Transit Authority police in locating a Jeep Grand Cherokee on the tracks near the old Uniroyal Chemical Co. on Elm Street, Naugatuck police said. MTA was able to remove the vehicle from the tracks with a crane, police said.

LITCHFIELD, Conn. -- State police are conducting a missing person search for Stephen Cybulski, 51, of 20 Newton Road in Northfield. Cybulski was reported missing Wednesday at 9 p.m., according to state police Sgt. Joe Roden. He was last seen at 5 p.m. Wednesday. State police dive team is searching Knife Shop Pond across the street from Cybulski's home.

The school superintendent for Plymouth, Conn., was arrested on a first-degree larceny charge today. Eleanor Cruz turned herself in at State Police Troop K in Colchester after she was notified there was a warrant for her arrest. She posted $6,200 bond and she'll be arraigned in Rockville Superior Court on Aug. 26.
