Up before that season Lucifer was always hinted at having sexually assaulted Sam in the cage (Sam limping after escaping, Lucifer calling Sam his bitch, Lucifer saying that line about rape and the line about bunk buddies, the actor for Lucifer insinuating it!!!) this is one big plothole in line with all the other big plotholes (as does a CW show) where they erase something that was heavily implied to make room for something. Do NOT come at me with that specific piece of evidence to prove that Sam wasn't sexually assaulted, you're erasing like fifteen thousand years of what Sam had to go through

Wait can I rant about hellers being so anti-wincest it makes them seem more morally wrong than the morally wrong they make wincesties out to be? Hellers will go as far as to say "you don't belong here, kill yourself" to a wincestie when the fact is, wincest has been here before d*stiel and any other ship, I'm saying, the first supernatural fanfic posted was wincest. And also, telling people to kill themselves over an entirely fictional ship that doesn't affect you or your dog is disgusting behavior (which in return makes them morally wrong, even more so than wincesties given the situation).. the people that aren't welcome here are the people that threaten others for liking a ship you don't even have to like or interact with. Canon!wincest is platonic because both brothers think so--Dean making his whole world based on Sam, dean's thoughts and actions must support or make Sam see the truth, dean needs to protect Sam and it's at a point where he no longer follows dad's orders just to keep Sam safe even though he blames his dad for always making him protect his little brother as in,

the episode where they kept on having to enter dreams and he had to fight himself, screaming "having to protect Sam was his idea! I never wanted to do it!" (I haven't watched the show in a month, let alone this episode, please correct me if I'm wrong) But the second John says "dean, you have to kill Sam if Sam goes bad" he's hopping on one foot with a gun to John's head like "what did you just say"

because he thinks it's okay to do that, it's his brother and it's okay to kill people if they hurt your brother, the slightest scratch, maybe even just mentally hurting him would be enough to set Dean off..and that's okay because it's normal and he fully believes it is

...but then Sam is like "well I'm sure every brother does this" Because he's taught that his big brother being there all the time either as a protector or assaulter is normal (taught by yours truly: the big brother himself) and so what if Dean hits him? Dean hits him because Dean thinks Sam is wrong, therefore Sam must be wrong..but sometimes he opens his eyes to the fact that it's weird as hell Dean is being like this, even if it's just brotherly instinct, and those times Dean has to punch it out of him for fear Sam might go forever, and then he shushes Sam like "Sam, Sammy, this is normal Sammy, my baby boy, my prince" Sam nods his head with a bruise under his eye like a battered deer and just goes back to sleep

the way some wincesties talk about how “sam and dean have such beautifully dark, poetically unhealthy fucked up relationship” and how this is why wincest is better than d*stiel, but then they can’t even handle the way sam is canonically treated/seen by dean as an object dean owns (which is one of the best and most delicious aspects of their dynamic)
