thinking of tattoos made me cry today

just a small thought that led to an emotional burst

i wondered if I’d ever be on someone’s skin one day

and why?

would it be for love or perhaps a memorial?

my skin is empty

too uninspired to be touched with ink or to have specific words etched forever

no art has ever felt close enough to mix with my cells

i feel envious

insignificant

mundane

i wonder if i’ll ever belong to someone’s skin.
