You know I love how so many people are like “respect boundaries respect consent” until it’s time to respect people w OCD who can’t shake hands or be touched or when an autistic person tells their family member they can’t give hugs or when a chronically ill person tells you “no I can’t do this thing” and you think “maybe if I just make them do it anyway it’ll make them stronger” or when a mentally ill person or someone who has been abused is like “I don’t want to be around this person/thing it’s triggering” and you get people guilting them to “just get over it”
If you’re about consent and boundaries, good, you should be, but remember to keep that energy when moms of autistic kids are like “I still hug my child even tho it makes them have panic attacks” or when someone’s like “yeah they said they don’t want to be around this person cause it’s “triggering” but I’m their friend so they should do it for me” or when a disabled person says they can’t go up the stairs and you’re begging them to “try anyway”
Don’t lose that mindset, or that energy when it’s time to respect the boundaries or consent of mentally ill and disabled people.

READINGS ARE OPEN AGAIN
Hey guys! So after a bit of a health break and working part-time at just one of my jobs its time for me to open readings again. I still have very limited hours of about 20 a week and until tourism picks back up again (which can take months even after Covid ends) for my second job to start up again - budget is still tight!
I know a lot of others are suffering severely as well - but if anyone has any spare income and wants a reading please feel free to IM me or send me an ask or (preferably) send me a submission form.
The Readings I Offer
Tarot Readings
A simple thing that many offer but with my readings you will receive images of the spreads and cards taken and any other addition items added (crystals drawing, colormancy, etc)
1 Card Reading - $1.50
3 Card Reading - $3.00
5 Card Reading - $5.00
10 Card Reading - $8.00
Custom Spreads or Requests - Up for Discussion
Past Life Readings
My bread and butter! Every interested in delving down into the lives you may have experienced in the past? Are you wanting to do some soul searching or get back to some of your old energy of those times? Well these readings are wonderful for self discovery, self reflection and to improve yourself over flaws of history.
Standard Reading (5 Cards) - $5.00
The standard past life reading is where I do a 5 card spread based off of the custom spread I created personally for past life readings. These readings will consist of: early life, teenage life, young adult life, adult life, and late life. Additional notes may be added to the reading by me.
Full Reading (10 Cards) - $8.50
The standard past life reading is where I do a 10 card spread based off of the custom spread I created personally for past life readings. These readings will consist of: early life, teenage life, young adult life, adult life, late life, how you were seen by others, your inner self/personality, your purpose in this life, if you met any of your soulmates, and how this life effects your current one. Additional notes may be added to the reading by me.
Full Reading + 3 Cards - $11.00
This reading is like the full reading, but with the addition of 3 more cards added to the end of the spread. These cards can be picked from a list of specifics that you wish to know more about this past life for more specific info. You may choose which of the three areas of the 10 you wish to add a card (or cards) to for more detail.
Full Reading + 5 Cards - $12.50
This reading is identical to the full reading with the addition of another 5 card spread afterwards. This additional 5 card spread will help us determine in more detail your past life in specific aspects: the time period, the location, your lifestyle (job, family, social class), your biggest fears and your goals/dreams of this life.
Small Reading - $3.00
This is my affordable cheaper option for those with a tighter budget. It is a smaller version of my standard reading featuring the first 5 cards of the standard reading: early life, teenage life, young adult life, adult life and late life.
Colormancy
My readings using custom colormancy cards made from my color theory test kit. With these colors much like other forms of card readings, I will use them and their alignments to draw answers for your questions or inquiries.
One Card - $1.00
Two Cards - $1.50
Three Cards - $2.50
Five Cards - $4.00
Crystal Throwing
A crystal throwing reading is using a bunch of different crystals and a large grid and tossing randomly selected crystals onto the grid and interpreting that for divination purposes. You may also do single drawn stones from a bag or box for single simple answers.
How the reading will work:
I will receive your question(s) and then using them as a guide will throw the crystals I draw onto my grid. I will interpret the patter, placement and the crystals correspondences to give you a detailed reading. I will also take a picture of the grid and the crystals upon it.
Pricing:
The price for a standard crystal reading will be $7.00 and for every additional throwing or question you would like to add is another $3.00.
I also have an option for if you want a Large Throwing consisting of answering 5 questions and taking the use of many more crystals than a standard throwing it is $11.50.
I also offer single stone drawings for $1.00 a stone.
Energy Readings
My energy readings are not the same as aura readings, I will read your energy via what visions I get, imagery, sounds, smells, tastes and feelings. I type out my readings while I experience them (likely with my eyes closed) and will go back through to correct spelling errors before sending. Sometimes these readings delve into divination other times they don’t. I will then take what I see, feel and witness and interpret it more deeply for you and send that.
The price is 6.50 for a basic energy reading. A full detailed or extended one with additional tarot cards, crystals or other added insights can be requested and price discussed.
If you need more details on energy readings feel free to look at my Energy Reading Page
Pendulum Readings
A simple reading but good for anyone who needs simple brief answers.
One Question = $1.00
Each additional Question = $1.00
5 Question Bundle = $4.50
10 Question Bundle = $9.00
Spirit or Entity Communication = IM me to discuss possible price depending on entity/spirit, length of reading and number of questions
Deity Communication/Entity Communication
Need some help communicating with a new deity, entity or spirit? I am happy to do my best to assist you with this!
Basic Deity Communication Spread - $12.00
This reading will be done with a spread I have made and used for deity communication to contact and get information from the deity. Additional cards may be added as needed each for $1.
Add Energy Reading - add. $5.00
If needed or desired I can add on an energy reading of you and possibly the deity/entity itself onto the standard basic reading above for an additional fee
Thank you all for helping me with this. If you cannot request a commission, please reblog and signal boost this if you can. Money will be tight, my city is about to fully shut down with little to no support from our local government. I also accept tips through my Ko-Fi page as well.

Magickal Folk Names for Herbs

Having knowledge of herbs and plants (either magically or medicinally) during the Middle Ages, often was reason enough to accuse a woman of being a “witch,” so there is no doubt some of the country folk at the time took these herbal folk names literal. Chances are, these names were used merely as descriptors to help remember them easier. Most plants were given names descriptive of their uses and others were given names for something they generally resembled. Spells written by witches in ancient times were often written with such descriptors, which personally i believe to be a form of secret coding.
Here is a small list of “witchy” herb names (most of these are already floating around the community) that you can use in your craft when you create your spells. This list could be a great addition to any Grimoire and i hope you find them as useful as i do.
Enjoy ~~~ Cannawitch

Why Your Spells Don’t Work
You set your intention. You had all the correct correspondences. You even timed your spell with the appropriate moon phase. And yet – no results. What gives?
Failed spells happen to the best of us, and for a variety of reasons. But a spell gone wrong doesn’t necessarily mean that magic isn’t real or that you’re bad at witchcraft. Magic is complicated, and there are a lot of reasons it might not behave the way you want it to. Here are some of the most common causes of ineffective spells:
1. Lack of real-world follow through
Magic is meant to be used as a tool to supplement your mundane efforts – not as a substitute for them. How can you expect your job hunting spell to bring in results if you aren’t applying for jobs?
Magic does not exist in a vacuum, and it can’t make something out of nothing. If a spell doesn’t bring you the desired result, make sure that your non-magical actions are aligned with what you are trying to manifest.
2. What you’re trying to manifest isn’t a realistic possibility
Wait, what? Isn’t magic supposed to be, well… magic? Shouldn’t you be able to ask for whatever you want and get it? Yes and no.
Magic is simply a way of directing energy. Magic can’t defy the natural laws of the universe. It can’t make something happen unless it was already a potential possibility.
If your intention is unrealistic for where you are right now, try splitting it up into a multi-step process. No spell is going to make you a billionaire overnight, but magic could help you get hired at a better paying job… and then get promoted… and then get offered a profitable side gig… etc. Starting small and working your way up is always going to produce stronger results, because you laid the foundation first.
3. Your intention was either too vague or too specific
Whether you use written petitions or spoken incantations, clearly stating your intention is an important part (maybe THE most important part) of any spell or ritual. A good intention is specific enough to get you the results you want, but open enough to let those results manifest naturally.
Let’s say you do a money spell, and your intention for the spell is simply, “I have more money.” If you find a penny on the ground the next day and pick it up, technically that is more money than you had before. A better alternative would be to use an intention like, “I have enough money to buy ___,” or “I have enough money for everything I need and want.”
Using an intention that is too specific creates the opposite problem. Let’s say you want to manifest a scholarship to a specific school. You do a candle spell with the intention, “I have been chosen for the John Smith Scholarship at Jane Doe University.” But maybe the John Smith scholarship had already been awarded by the time you did your spell. Maybe there’s another scholarship at the same school that would be a better fit for you, or maybe you’re eligible for a grant that would make tuition more affordable. A better intention for your spell would be “I have enough financial aid to easily and affordably attend Jane Doe University.”
Magic always follows the path of least resistance, so you want to make sure that your intention is specific enough to give your magic a clear direction, but open enough to allow it some flexibility.
4. Lack of focus/concentration
We all know the struggle. You’ve been planning this ritual forever, and it’s finally the full moon, but you’ve got a really full schedule today. If you hurry, you can probably squeeze it into the thirty minute window between school and work, right?
If you say a few quick words and burn some incense before you head out the door in the morning, that totally counts as a spell, right?
Not so much. Rushed, lazy, and/or half-assed spells rarely, if ever, work. Spells revolve around the raising and direction of energy, and that requires two things: a clear intention (see above) and intense focus on that intention. If you don’t have the time/energy/mental capacity to focus, it’s best to take a break, have a self care day, and come back to your spell some other time.
5. You’re subconsciously blocking your own results OR you did a spell for someone else who isn’t open to it
I decided to lump these two together, because they’re different variations of the same issue.
Whenever you are doing magic on yourself, it’s important that your mindset is aligned with your intentions. You can do love spells all day long, but if deep down you don’t believe that you’re worthy of love, that belief is going to block your spells from working. This is why mindfulness, psychology, and self care are all such important parts of a successful witchcraft practice. It’s also why I recommend doing the mental work before you sit down to ritual.
If you did a spell on yourself, or are trying to manifest something for yourself, and it just isn’t working, I highly recommend setting some time aside for journaling and meditation and asking yourself 1.) if this is really what you want, and 2.) if you truly believe that you can have it.
The whole mindset thing gets even more tricky when you’re doing magic on behalf of another person, because their energy is also at work in the situation and could be at odds with yours. For example, if you do a spell to help a friend land a job, but that friend believes that they’re totally underqualified and could never get it, they probably won’t get the job even if you did everything “right” in your spell.
This should go without saying, but it is extremely unethical to use magic to mess around in someone else’s head. Even if you think you know what’s best for them, they need to be open to it. If someone is blocking the spells you do on their behalf, all you can do is try to be supportive and find other ways to help them out.
Other (Rare) Reasons for Failed Spells
If a spell goes wrong, it will almost always be for one of the above reasons. But maybe you did everything “right” – you did the mental work first, had a strong, realistic intention, put lots of focus into your spell, and followed through in real life – and you still aren’t seeing results. There are a couple of other things that could be blocking your spells, but they’re very uncommon so I’m not going to talk about them in as much detail. These may be things you want to look into if you really, genuinely can’t think of any other cause.
It’s possible that another witch has done magic that cancels out or blocks yours. This is not common, and it does NOT mean that someone has cursed you. It could be as simple as two witches unknowingly casting spells with opposite intentions, which end up cancelling each other out. (For example, maybe two different people both cast a spell to get the same job. Obviously, they can’t both get that job.) This is why it’s never a bad idea to incorporate a protective element into your spells to block outside interference.
There is a very, very remote possibility that someone has placed a curse on you specifically to block your magic. However – and I cannot stress this enough – this is VERY uncommon. If you were cursed you would know it, or at least know that something was very wrong in your life. If you feel like you have been cursed or hexed, I recommend looking into uncrossing spells, which are specifically designed to undo negative magic.
It’s also possible that a higher power is intervening. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a deity, although it certainly could be. Most witches believe in some form of fate or destiny, and it’s possible that your spell didn’t work because what you asked for is not in alignment with your destiny. In these situations, really the only thing you can do is surrender to the bigger picture.

Common dream symbols
Babies: Dreaming of a baby/dreaming of being pregnant may be driven by your body’s biological desire to procreate, or it may mean that you want or need to be nurtured yourself. It may also signify a new idea.
Being chased: We tend to remember these dreams because the anxiety we feel during them is extremely vivid. Take a look at what’s chasing you to interpret the dream—because of course whatever it is you’re running away from is really the issue at hand. What is it you don’t want to face in your life? Your dream is telling you to stop running.
Death: As in tarot, these dreams do not portend literal death. You need not be worried that you are ill or that someone you love is in danger. Instead, they signal that you are at the start or in the middle of a big change —an ending of one thing and a new beginning of another.
Falling: Normally, falling indicates anxiety that comes after success. Once you’ve achieved what you wanted, how will you maintain it?
Flying: This is almost invariably a euphoric dream, and it often occurs once we’ve finally made a decision we’ve been putting off or when we’re feeling particularly confident that we can achieve our goals.
Nudity: We’ve all suffered from the “forgot your clothes” dream. This generally unpleasant dream signifies how vulnerable you are feeling. You may want to consider baring yourself regardless of your fear. Get it over with and really put your true self out there for the world to see.
People: Just about everyone dreams about other people, but the important thing to note is that each of the “characters” in our dreams represents some aspect of ourselves.
Sex: Along with just being good fun, sex dreams indicate that you have reached a new level of understanding and incorporated the intuitive with the conscious.
Test you didn’t study for: These dreams aren’t actually an argument against the stressors of the Common Core. Instead, they indicate that you are examining yourself, looking at past mistakes.
Out of control vehicle: You know that dream—the one where the brakes don’t work or the steering wheel won’t turn? It’s telling you that you’re trying too hard to control something that you simply don’t have control over. Relax the white-knuckle grip and let the road take you where it will.
Water: Water is generally thought to speak specifically to the state of the unconscious. If you’re dreaming of a stormy sea, you may be experiencing some emotional turbulence. But if you’re dreaming of a cool, clear stream, you are more likely experiencing mental clarity.

The Three Most Misunderstood Tarot Cards
DEATH
Does Death mean death?
When tarot was born in the 1400s, vaccines, antibiotics and pasteurization had not yet been invented. Diseases we now consider harmless led easily to death.
And so this card appearing back then truly heralded somebody’s demise.
Adapting to our evolving reality, Death has taken on the meaning of transformation, which in essence represents little deaths.
Migrating to a different country is one such death — we are leaving behind our old life. The same goes for changing jobs and moving houses. These were not so easily done in the Renaissance. The majority of the masses lived and died where they were born, doing what their parents taught them to do.
With people today feeling bored or oppressed by their current life, such little deaths are deeply hoped for.
That is why Death should no longer be feared. While it began as a harbinger of losing one’s parent, child or wife, it has adapted to become the herald of a beautiful new life.
THE TOWER
Why do some readers interpret The Tower positively? Are they fooling their clients or themselves? Some of them, certainly.
The Tower, however, is not intrinsically negative. What it is inherently is a shock. An earth-shattering or a life-changing one.
Your mom dying in a car accident two minutes after you spoke to her on the phone is a Tower moment. But so is winning the lottery.
Losing your job out of the blue is another. But so is realizing that your crush is your secret admirer.
The reason The Tower is mostly negative is because it is bad things, not good ones, that shock us to our core.
Good surprises are forgotten in a week or so. Their luster fades easily.
But it takes us a while to move on from death and tragedy.
Yet in and of itself, The Tower does not predict a disaster. It could very well be the windfall you have been praying for.
THE DEVIL
In what world is The Devil a good card?
In this one.
The Devil is about being chained to something that has power over you.
That is often bad, such as drugs, alcohol, an abusive marriage, or a job you need to keep even though it pays below minimum wage.
But it can also be good, like turning your hobby into a business… having a sexually fulfilling lover… or working over time at a job your adore.
Either way, it is the concept of obsession, not oppression, that makes up this card’s intrinsic meaning.
At its best, The Devil is about undying passion — for a person, an activity or a cause.
The inherent negative side of that is being so consumed by one thing, that balance is forgotten.
But then again… who would prefer the balance of the plain over the peak of a mountain?

What Really Happens During Mercury Retrograde
Imagine that your mom is cooking a meal.
Naturally, she should keep watch of the stove, so that food and house alike would not be burned. Sure, your mom can leave the kitchen for several minutes to do something else for a while. But it would be unwise for her to leave the house entirely for a long period of time.
Your mom is Mercury. The stove is your life.
Specifically, it is the part of your life that deals with communication, electronics, travel, work, routine and health – areas that Mercury rules.
When Mercury is in retrograde, no one is watching the stove.
And like we said, sometimes, that is perfectly fine. Whole buildings do not burn down just because one stove in one apartment on one floor was left alone for one short moment.
And yet we never know when the broth would spill over from the pot, making the surface of the stove slippery, causing the pot to fall over to the floor, and on the way down, impactfully hit a pan that then ricochets onto the gas pipe, resulting in an explosion that brings about the loss of property and life.
This is why letters get lost in the mail and packages are delayed… the Wi-Fi stops working and you send texts to the wrong person… online stores charge you double the correct amount or cancel your order for no reason… your travel agent misspells your name on your airline ticket which leads to you missing your flight… you mistake AM for PM on an email which is why you are a no-show to your job interview… a power shortage occurs in your area messing with your schedule for the entire weekend… you neglect to read the allergen information on a bar of chocolate which ends up almost killing you…
Moreover, when your mom is not around, naughty kids who are usually afraid to approach you are suddenly emboldened to ask you to play with them again. Hence abusive exes and toxic friends could come back to hurt you once more.
So you see, Mercury Retrograde is not to be downplayed. It really is a period rife with potential harm and danger.
What then can you do?
Simple.
Watch the stove.
Your mom is not around, so you have to do it yourself.
See a spill? Wipe it. Hear a scary sound from the oven? Turn it off. The pot is suddenly on fire? Use the fire extinguisher. The situation is beyond your control? Call out of help.
When Mercury is away, we are not completely defenseless. We are intelligent souls with the ability to protect ourselves.
Be more vigilant than you normally are. Read the fine print on a contract before you sign. Scrutinize receipts. Double check dates and timings. Allot extra hours or days for anything crucial. Always have a Plan B.
But when something goes wrong anyway, do not beat yourself up over it.
You tried your best. When Mercury comes back, he will reward you for it.

Witch as a Gender Neutral Term
I’m sure we’ve all seen the posts floating around, along with the arguments that inevitably go along with them. Indignant women wishing to exclude men from the practice of witchcraft, making claims of appropriation and the like.
I’d like to take some time now to clear a lot of that up.
“Witch” Refers to a Woman Who Practices Magic! Men would be Wizards and Warlocks!
False! While ‘Wizard’ and ‘Warlock’ have historically been applied to men, that is more often seen in stories and works of fiction, and popularized by our modern culture. In order to understand the gender neutral meaning of ‘Witch’, we need to dive head first into it’s etymology.
In the early Medieval English period, we had two terms for people who practiced the religion of Pagan Witchcraft. Wicca was indeed the masculine title for these people, and Wicce the feminine. When we shifted from Medieval English into Middle Ages, wicche became a common variant of the two words. Wicche did not differentiate between masculine and feminine, but rather acted as a term that could refer to anyone who practiced Pagan Witchcraft. The ‘T’ was later added in the 15th century, creating the word we now know (and love!)
But Weren’t Only Women Killed During The Witch Hunts?
No! Never once has there been any period of history where women were exclusively killed in the name of witchcraft. In the early Middle Ages, Christianity stormed across Europe. With it brought a terrible fear and superstition around Witchcraft. In 789 A.D, Charlemange imposed Christianity upon his kingdom and with it came the declaration, “If anyone, deceived by the Devil, shall believe, as is customary among pagans, that any man or woman is a night-witch, and eats men, and on that account burn that person to death… he shall be executed.”
Thus began one of the first “Witch Hunts” in which both men and women were killed. But you’re probably wondering about the more Modern Witch Hunts, the ones almost everyone knows about.
Undeniably, women were accused of being “witches” at a higher rate then men, but that doesn’t mean that men magically got off scot free. In Salem, out of the twenty people tried and executed for witchcraft, six were men. That’s thirty percent. And that’s not even including the people who survived the trials, or escaped from prison.
Okay… But Witchcraft is a feminist movement, I don’t want men touching it!
It’s… really not. It never has been.
Witchcraft in itself is… incredible. In my short time learning, it has taught me so much. Not just about the world - it’s beauty, strength, energy - but my own as well. Being a witch has opened my eyes to so many things. It has taught me lessons about myself that I would never have learnt any other way.
I think many people mistake it for a feminist movement because of the sense of empowerment it gives women. After so long being told how to think, how to act, how to dress - to become a witch is to rebel against everything we have been told. We’re suddenly allowed to be powerful, to be independent, to look inside ourselves and see beauty.
But this is not because Witchcraft is Feminism. This is because Witchcraft, as a craft, has given us the tools we needed to learn these lessons and to practice them. It is a tool that we shape along our personal journey, that we forge and sharpen and brandish.
Women, men, non-binary people. We all have a right to practice this craft, to call ourselves Witches.
It is when we stand together that we are strong.

Hi guys! I am finally back.
I have been struggling with my head for a long time, and repressing this led to an increase in frequency of panic and anxiety attacks.
I am working on getting better, and I want to be active here again. I feel like this space I have created for myself is safe, and I don’t want to lose it to mental illness. I won’t.
See you around!
