The candle's almost burned down to the end of its wick when Solas was interrupted from his writing by familiar footsteps. He looked up to see- a cup right in front of his face, and his lover's gaze fixed onto him with intent.

The dryness he felt in his throat was not just from hours of work and neglecting his body's need for hydration. A warm hand settled on Solas' nape, and he sheepishly accepted the drink when the cup was pressed carefully onto his parched lips.

Sulevin did not relent until every drop was gone. "Good," they praised with a nod, before leaving just as they had arrived.

“I’m here. You’re safe, baby. We’re in our bed, in our home, and there is only us.” Elora gently stroked her thumbs over his face, feeling his jaw trembling and teeth chattering. “You’re safe. I promise. I’ll protect you.” Holding her breath slightly as she searched his eyes, she waited, hoping he would come to her and not pull away. The madness in his gaze was frightening, apparently in the midst of another panic attack as his eyes darted about for an escape.

Fun fact: I have Chromesthesia so I see colors from certain sounds. Music specifically but also children laughing, bells over doors ringing, and rustling of paper bags. Pretty much everything does it. I live in a world full of color!

I liked 72 best. Thanks for the ask Anon! Prompt was: a kiss that is leading to more, but is interrupted by a third party.

A blossom of honey light reveals her against otherwise pitch night. A lantern, as it were, is the only light to see by at this hour. The moon and its starry children have gone to bed behind a blanket of clouds, rendering Thedas sable toned. Gossamer sleep gown clings like soft fingers as she kneels on the dewy grass to examine felandaris.

That is how he finds her.

He should announce himself, Solas considers. She had not heard him approach, as was his preference ordinarily. But he had not expected to find her here, nor to find her bodies swelling curves so clearly visible- so enticing- so utterly spell-binding that he is now next to her, kneeling, his hands cupping her startled face.

He should not kiss her. He should pull away. It can only be madness- the kind of madness they call love- the kind of love they call eternal- that has his lips capturing, pressing, dominating hers. The sound she makes is surprised then wanton. Her fingers move to his ears, rubbing the pointed tips between forefinger and thumb and he is

Lost.

The hunger of beast and the yearning of man presses her down to the warm summer earth but with a gentleness that speaks of something other- older and incorporeal. Lavellan pulls him along, hands grasping shoulders, voice whispering encouragement against full lips. His body is over hers now and she is so small; bones like a birds so frail beneath him. Now there can be no more thought as thighs move to the outside of his, offering herself as though he is the sun and she is his precious flower.

He will never know who rucks up her gown- if he presses her or she pulls him- but he does not lament as narrow hips fit too well between inviting legs. The celestial idea of joining the ancient- him- to the new- her- has long, scholarly fingers pressing dimples into the full, round flesh of her backside- mouth captured by her eager tongue. They will be glorious together.

A cough.

Another. More insistent. Familiar.

Solas has not the patience to blush at Dorian’s teasing grin, this body too heated for more than a glare as he lifts lightly scratched neck toward the intruder. She, however, does- covering her face as she giggles, then unashamed and delighted kisses of apology pepper his jaw.

They are caught.
