ShinRan Week 2021 Day 3: Fairytales - Transforming Back I had a few ideas for this one – like a Princess who gets tired of waiting and then decides to go out and find him cause she’s a badass.😉 I ultimately decided on a transforming back scene because it’s ultimately what I want from the show and it feels like it fits, haha! In this AU he could have been a toad, beast etc… Perhaps he stumbled on some coven of evil witches that tried to kill him but gave him a transformation potion instead. 😂

Day 5:

A/N: I know that Detective Conan's story wouldn't work if Shinichi wouldn't turn to Conan, but still, this is another reason why I would give anything for Detective Shinichi: Power Couple! I really loved in Episode One how they heard that scream, and then they look at each other before they ran to see what was going on... They didn't talk, they just looked at each other and were like: "Yeah, let's kick some asses!" It would be so awesome to have more of those moments <3 And actually, let them work together with some cases! With Shinichi's brain and Ran's strength... God, I really hope that I could have written a better action fic because it is what I would have wanted, but anything good didn't come to my mind, so instead, I wrote this little moment...

“Any last words, great detective?”

Shinichi wiped the corner of his mouth, looking at the culprit who just pointed him with a gun. His brains worked fast to plan something out. He knew that if he moves way or another, there would be a shot, and he wasn’t sure if he could dodge it. He wanted to talk the culprit out of this, but Shinichi has tried it already and he didn’t believe that there would be anything that he could say to change the man's mind. Shinichi has used all his cards already. And sadly, he was the only one who got evidence against the culprit. Of course, the culprit wanted him dead so he could take evidence and destroy them before fleeing, but Shinichi couldn’t let him do it. Not yet…

God, why did it took so long? He has bought time, more than he had planned. He couldn’t probably do it much longer…

There has to be another way!

As he opened his mouth to say something, he saw a sign. Everything he needed. And he smiled.

“What's so funny?” the culprit asked losing a little of his confidence.

“Not much”, Shinichi answered calmly and stood up meeting the culprit’s gaze. “I believe it’s time to end this madness. Last chance, surrender.”

“And what if I don’t want to?” the culprit asked and laughed. “What, you’re going to beat me up? Hah, weakling like you? I believe you’re not the one who should make demands.”

Shinichi smiled and put his hands on pockets. “Oh, no, my only job was to corner you and buy some time. The one who is going to beat you stands behind you.”

Shinichi watched how the man turned around and probably just had enough time to see a beautiful but dangerous young woman who just kicked him on his face. Gun dropped from man’s hand and Shinichi rushed towards it, taking it to make sure it isn't used anymore. Though his worry that something would go wrong was unnecessary because when he turned back to look at the “fight”, the culprit was already laid on the floor. For a moment they waited, but the man didn’t move.

“What took you so long, Ran?” he asked and looked at the woman who leered at the culprit with a scary face. Reminded him why he shouldn’t be the one who would make her mad. “I was worried that something happened to you.”

Ran relaxed. “Well, like you predicted, he has two friends with him, which I took down before I went to free hostages, but it took some time to convince them that I’m on their side, and then… Shinichi, what happened to you? Are you okay?”

Shinichi remembered a wound on the corner of his mouth. He wiped it again. It was still bleeding, though only a little. “Oh, it’s nothing”, he answered and smiled. “Just a little scratch…”

“A little scratch”, Ran repeated and came towards him, starting to wipe his wound with a handkerchief as soon as she stood in front of him. “It’s bleeding.”

“Not that much”, he denied trying to pull out, but her hand came to his other cheek, making sure that he couldn’t move. “Come on, Ran, it’s really nothing.”

“Yeah, it’s nothing, and still, you always rant to me that I need to be careful and all… The same goes to you too, you know”, Ran scolded. “I hate to be always so worried about you because I know you can be so careless sometimes…” Then she put her hands down and her gaze did the same. “I just… don’t want to find you as dead someday…”

“Hey, I’m not dead, am I?” he said softly enough to get her attention. “Like I said, this is a little scratch, I’m not going to die on this.” Then he smiled. “And when I have a nurse like you…”

Ran shook her head even though she smiled again. “Idiot”, she answered. Then sirens started to ring somewhere, coming closer to their location. At that moment Ran stood up on her tiptoes and plant her lips on that scratch, taking Shinichi by surprise.

“Well, polices are here soon”, she said while taking a few steps further from him, and then she looked at the culprit. “Let’s wrap this up and go home. I'm starting to be hungry.”

Shinichi smiled. "Let's go eat somewhere after this. I'll pay."

@shinranweek I decided to go a different route when I saw the prompt. Listen, I love the musicians AU, so yeah, have THIS power duo, pianist Ran 🎹 and violinist Shinichi 🎻! They have incredible chemistry and when they play together sparks fly 😍

Police Force/Black Organization AU idea: Shinichi’s with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, and Ran’s with the BO. Ran’s still an angel, so no violence from her. She doesn’t kill people. Spying on the BO’s targets is her specialty. Shinichi has information on the BO and pursues them. All their eyes are set on him. Ran’s sent out to get him and learn about his weaknesses.

As their missions progress, they get closer to each other. What will happen next?

NOT CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AU - HEADCANON

Ran and Shinichi aren´t childhood friends. They were born and raised in different neighborhoods in Tokyo. 

Ran was always living in Beika with her father. She had a normal life, between school and successfully leading her karate team. She grew up taking care of her father and watching Shinichi Kudo, the great teenage detective, on television. She thought his detective skills were amazing, but she wasn’t one of his fangirls. He was just one of the many famous people she knew

Shinichi lived throughout his childhood with his parents in Haido, surrounded by his parent’s fame, books, and his desire to become a detective. He was always a smart and cunning boy, essentially good-natured, but full of himself. When he turned 15 years old, he moved with his parents to Los Angeles. He became the famous teenage detective in both Japan and America. 

Ran entered college after graduation. There she met Sonoko, a billionaire girl with whom he shares a room. Despite their differences, they were soon friends. Ran spends her time responsibly in studies, karate and her part-time job in a cafeteria with which she pays for her personal expenses and tastes. 

Shinichi, after several years living in Los Angeles, considered appropriate to continue his detective career in his country, and enters college, as most Japanese are used to doing. He hardly ever goes to class. He is too busy solving cases. Besides, the teachers are idiots and the classes are boring. 

Sonoko often drags Ran to multiple parties and karaoke with other students, even when Ran replies that they must study. That day her friend told her that they would go to the library with other people, but in reality they came to a great event. After all, many people claimed that Shinichi Kudo would be there. Ran was upset with her for not telling her where they were going. She hadn’t even been able to carry her autograph book.

Shinichi had only arrived at the meeting due to a mysterious letter. He spent his time making little deductions to impress the fangirls who had recognized him. He loves the attention of fangirls. When he ran into Ran in the hall, he decided to make deductions about her. That girl would be very impressed. 

His deductions had been correct, but his words had been rude. She returned a dark look, unaware of who he was. Shinichi was surprised at her reaction, even more so when, later, Ran apologizes for having soiled his shirt with soda and offers to clean it. Shinichi blushed as she cleaned his clothes with a handkerchief, and asked him not to come back to saying such rude things to her. He wondered who this stubborn and sweet girl was.

Unsurprisingly, a crime occurred at the scene. Shinichi, using all of his detective skills, discovered the criminal, astonishing all people, including Ran, who only then understood who he was. Suddenly, the criminal decides to attack the place, filling everything with flames. And Ran, impulsively, sets out to rescue a girl who had been trapped. Everyone congratulated her for her courage.

Ran gave the others kind descriptions of him, even though she thought he was a bit arrogant and rude. And she kept thinking the same about him even when she suddenly meet with him in different places in the college. He spoke little to her, but asked strange questions. But after weeks, after being the victim of an attack near the college, she understood that he wanted to be close to her to guarantee her safety. He knew that she could be her object from that night at the party and had done everything to take care of her.

Ran realizes that this detective was not as bad as she thought, but that he was a good boy. A kind-hearted detective. She wanted to thank him by inviting him to her house and cooking him a dinner. Shinichi rejected it at first, but then agreed. Clearly, when she understood him better, Shinichi Kudo could be much better than he thought. Who knows, maybe in the future they can become… friends?
