Another discard project I was working on.

You played as a knight exploring a dungeon long forgotten, with your loyal squire lighting the way for you. Was meant to be a small project with one dungeon (because one level shouldn't be too hard right?) but scopecreep 🤷 UE5 uses a lot of resources, and I was relying on asset libaries for much of the enviroment and the animations, which dumps a lot of files into your project and makes things kind of difficult to navigate.

Combat felt a bit too simple, and since i was relying on miximo assets it was difficult to get out of that hole.

Level was also pretty big and i kept getting lost in the maze. That being said i would like to reappropriate a lot of the worldbuilding and level design i did into somekind of ttrpg module.

This is such a hot mess of movie and I love every second of it. Peak watching expierence involves me sitting next to you pausing every few minutes to explain the plot, characters and how this movie came to be

Here's my OC for the last project I was working on, a 3D platformer in the vein of crash bandicoot. His name was Khiron and he was a wyrm runt in a mechanical suit that had been crafted around him to make up for his weak frame, in return for serving a powerful draconic lich. Each level would revolve around revisiting a location of the lich’s past, collecting fragments of the lich’s phylactery to return them to their full power. 

Unfortunately I’ve only really got so far as building the hub level and one whitebox level. Started this project as a means to explore Godot and I think I’ve managed to get a good grasp of it. Every engine has their problems and maybe I’m just not using the correct tools, but I was hoping I’d be able to churn out levels quickly, but the UI is still a bit too clunky for my tastes. I’ll probably end up using it for my next project anyways, Unreal is too heavy and Unity lost my trust after the license issues a while back. 

 Also ran into issues trying to find a unique mechanic for the game. It was just a basic 3d platformer to learn the engine but it just ended up feeling too generic. May come back to this eventually, but I'm really struggling to find the motivation to 3D model the one level I have, and the rest of my map ideas were a little too involved for such a small project.
