We are not. Both admins are cis women. I apologize if we at any point came off as representing ourselves as trans or nb. Our goal is and has always been to give more representation to groups of people who haven’t had their fair share. We recognize that our method, while well-intentioned, was flawed. For that, we are sorry. We’re doing our best to learn from trans and nb voices. We want to promote positive trans and nb representation.

Why have so many of your trans and nonbinary characters faced transphobia or have had difficulty transitioning?
This has been recently pointed out to me, so I decided to crunch some numbers. It seems to be about nine have a mention of a hard time transitioning and seven have no mention of it at all being difficult for them. Which isn’t bad, but it isn’t great either. This isn’t my personal experience, so I tried to vary the narratives based on what other people have dealt with and the fact that it was 1942, but it has made people uncomfortable. I am in the process of editing the bios, it’s just going to take me a bit, so please forgive me while I get that settled.

Who could you see as a Lana Condor FC?
Lana is a great FC choice! I could see her as Augusta or Poppy. Maybe Cedrella, too but there’d probably need to be some explanation as to why Arcturus adopted her being that she wouldn’t be able to be biologically related to our current Black family FCs.

How open are you to FC changes?
We’re fairly open to FC changes! If you would like to request a FC change, simply put it in the “anything else?” section of the app. Most of the time, we’ll agree to your request and the graphics/bios will be updated upon your acceptance to the group.
That being said, if a character is a person of color, then any replacement FCs need to also be a person of color. Any trans or non-binary FCs can only be replaces with other trans or non-binary FCs as well. We’re open to editing bios for changes in ethnicity/tweaking family relationships to account for adoption ect. but we will not accept any FC changes that take away representation.
