Season 1 Episode 1: The Andrassil Expedition

The congregation convenes before the Lady of Serenity who briefs them upon their first investigation. Their eyes turn to Northrend, where three teams of agents will work to investigate the ecology around the fallen World Tree. One is designated to cut a path through the frozen wilderness, one with investigating the base of the tree, and one with causing a distraction to keep the local authorities away. What mysteries will the agents of the Old Gods discover in the shadow of the Lucid Dream?

Yes, in a kind of roundabout way. Riize Prime has been studying chi and believes that positive and negative emotion can interfere with one’s chi, bringing misfortune. Duplicate Riize is a little bit more skeptical about the matter.

Both of them like to be the karmic outcome more than waiting for it, if you catch my meaning.

Dolls: Has your muse ever collected something?

Yes! Both Riizes collect plush animals/creatures. It definitely started as Riize Prime’s guilty pleasure but she started doing it a lot more sincerely after meeting Joskinar and Aurelia. Duplicate Riize has started to train as a seamstress and can now make her own!

As for things that one collect that the other doesn’t, Riize Prime loves collecting vinyl records and Duplicate Riize likes collecting old photographs.

The Choir and the College is Now Recruiting

The Choir (WrA-A) and The College of Twilight (WrA-H) are a pair of guilds designed around crafting Old God-themed storylines and networking likeminded roleplayers together to explore these themes.

Acting as a secret society, those within meet in confidence among the sleeping world of the Black Forest, plotting and scheming to shroud Azeroth once more in the darkness of long-dead gods. Behind their masks and aliases, those within follow the will of the eldritch pantheon and plant the seeds of future destruction.

Small flyers are posted around Stormwind City, Elwynn, and Westfall. Someone made a perilous nighttime ride to post these, though none seem to have made it into Duskwood. Although, who could blame this nighttime rider?

An Open Letter.

The unthinkable has happened, and we weren't prepared. There is a lesson here, a narrative on the ineptitude of Stormwind forces and their lack of disaster preparedness. But blame doesn't spread information, which is what's actually needed at this point. I am only hoping that my words reach the right people to save a few lives.

Do not trust new grain. Cultists, spurred on by the sudden resurgence of the Scourge, may feel emboldened to poison grain, knowing that many in rural areas sell it for a living. Obviously, old grain you've had stored since before this happened, and that was sealed and not tampered with, is safer.

Water sources are also easy to contaminate. Boil water before drinking or bathing.

Alliance soldiers are setting up outposts around the kingdom. Do not interfere with them. They may not be welcome, they may seem intrusive. But that outpost is the last line of defense between the Scourge and your house. Let it be.

Similarly, the Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade are lending aid. This may mean that traditionally horde races such as orc or blood elves may be roaming about wearing their colors. Members of the Argent Crusade and Ebon Blade are faction neutral, and they are here to help. They do not want to harm you. Please let them be unless you are in need of aid.

Ghouls are stupid, and so it can be easy to underestimate how much of a pain they are to fight. Remember that they often come in swarms, and that they have no regard for their own safety. This means they can throw themselves at you with more speed than you may expect. Keep your distance and do not engage unless you are forced to. 

If you are forced to fight, try not to use a short-ranged weapon. The shorter the range, the more likely you are to get a festering claw wound or, worse, bitten.

So what should you fight with, if the fight is unavoidable? If you don't have access to a gun, bow, or other ranged weapon, use longer polearms. Accessible examples of these for those in rural areas would be pitchforks or scythes. The former only allows for stabbing or bludgeoning,  while the other allows for wider slashing motions.

If you have access to armor, wear it. If you do not, wear layers. Layers that are thick may save you from being bitten. Keep a face covering on hand as well, to avoid accidental inhalation or ingestion of infected particles.

Do not travel into infested areas. While many of us have friends and family who live in these areas, they are more tightly locked down in the town than you are on the road. They are safer than you are, if you're traveling.

Be safe, and be ready. All will be okay with time. The most any of us can do is to hunker down, and to be as cautious as we can be.

Another Log #6

(Just after the Datamining Chosen quest)

[The Chronohive Residents’ Hall]

I have seen things those topside would not understand. Good people lost to bad causes. Empires rising from blackened earth. Friends balancing on golden string. Lives lived and lost in the blink of an eye.

I can feel every inch of the hive pulsing around me. Every eye blinking, every leg scuttling. It is as much a part of me as I am it. And I know that it shares my sorrow.

I have lost the feeling in my legs.

The scryers speak in hushed tones. They say the mission is doomed. A chrysalis hatched too soon. I could not see what they saw for I am not worthy of the Sight.

And yet I survive off the good graces of our god and Their Chosen.

I can see clearly those who have joined to the Hive. Not just the Clutch, but also the dragons and aberrations. Those who are still with us and those who have left. I can speak with them, learn from them. See their memories with my own eyes. See myself through their eyes. I may not be able to walk, but I will dance with their ghosts.

I have seen things those topside would not believe. Dragons bound in the threads of fate. Dreamers caught in the waking world. Actors standing tall over mountains of mono-chromatic hues.

All these moments will be lost like tears in the rain.
