Hey guys! I really enjoyed the new episode! I've already watched it twice! (Mostly because I watched it without subtitles and then had to watch it translated, but... uh...)
Anyway! If you noticed, during the opening of the anime, there is text that flashes on the screen for a second! I took the time to pause and screencap them, and I thought it would be fun to share it!
As a mild disclaimer, I'm providing some very ameteur translations that are mostly based off of my knowledge of the manga!
First off, we have 七不思議! Or, Seven Mysteries! This is pretty obviously referencing the seven mysteries of the school.
Next, this says 彼岸と此岸... I believe this might be the "near shore and far shore"? But I am not sure!
This text is 16時の書庫, which I believe was translated as "The 4 P.M. Bookstacks" in English! (In Japanese it seems to use 16:00 instead of 4:00 P.M.!)
For this one, it says 旧校舎三階, or "Third Floor of the Old School Building", referencing where Hanako's bathroom is!
Now, this one is simple! 月の石... this is Amane's moon rock!
This one is also pretty simple. カンナギ, or Kannagi! They're people who can communicate with Gods. This possibly refers to Yashiro...? (Or maybe Aoi...)
And since the moon rock was just mentioned, it makes sense to also mention the owner! 柚木普, or Yugi Amane, is what this says!
This one is ミサキ階段, or the Misaki Stairs!
This one surprised me! カガミシゴク means "Mirror Hell", which I didn't expect the anime to get to! Is this implying the anime will go up to Chapter 30 and beyond...?
As for the last one, I'm not quite sure what 祓い屋 means, but Google Translate is telling me it means "exorcist", which seems to make sense to me! (The colors kind of match Kou, too!)
Well, this was kind of a fun exercise! I wonder how far the anime will go...? I am very excited for next week! ☆
I noticed a translation difference between the fan translation and the official translation for Ch. 38! In the fan one, it doesn't specify anything besides Tsukasa leaving Amane alone, but in the official one, it's stated that Tsukasa left Amane to do katanuki.
My initial reaction to this was:
Tsukasa's been doing katanuki for three whole hours?!
Followed by:
What the hell is katanuki?!
Thankfully, the translation notes provided an explanation! (I mean, Google also works, but...)
It seems kind of fun! I'm not sure if I'd want to do it for three hours but, good for Tsukasa, I guess!
