This is certainly a trip down memory lane, Futatagos! It’s hard to believe that almost 2 years have past since we’ve met, and all the good times we’ve spent along the way!  Rarely there are fanfics that have captivated me more than yours, and to this very day, I have yet to provide any fanart for other fics except tcolc ! It truly moved me like no other- and if I recall correctly, having to pause several times for a break because how well written and overwhelmed ( in a good way ) I was by the story beats!  I poured all my heart into making these drawings and hoping to catch the essence of everyone one of them, and to know that you two enjoy and love them really makes me elated beyond words. I have particularly fond memories of our conversation and was so touched and thrilled when reading to have found that you somehow worked it in, and it truly meant a lot to me! 

There’s no words I can manage to string together to really show my love and appreciation to the both of you for writing and sharing your thoughts with me on things, giving me advice, and a plethora of other things- you’ve inspired me like no other, and I’m honored to have had a place and hand in helping this wonderful masterpiece of a novel come to life <3 

So to that, thank you for the bottom of my heart! 

Artist Thank-You #15

Ooooh, this artist holds a very, very special place in our hearts. “Skyriazeth” (@rnmwincii) had been a long-time reader of TCoLC and one of our closest online friends by the time we started putting the novel together.

And it wasn’t until putting this post together that we realized that the order in which Skyrizaeth’s four (yes, you read that right, four) illustrations appear in the novel actually reflects the chronological order in which we had received them in the first place. So cool!

Meeemorieeees. It was with this touching illustration of X-280 and Mouse that Skyriazeth first reached out to us to let us know how much they were enjoying TCoLC. Needless to say, their enthusiasm was always a huge source of motivation and inspiration. :)

The cropped version here does little justice to this mysterious and beautiful illustration, but even if you didn’t snag your copy of the novel, always remember that you can enjoy this fanart (and many others!) on futagogo’s flickr account! This one is a personal favorite of futa-2′s. 

This smiley Mouse was the perfect way to herald the start of chapter 13 because The Author’s discourse on reason vs. cause that takes place in that chapter was, in fact, inspired by a conversation we’d had with Skyrizaeth once! ♡ 

The last (but certainly not least!) illustration was actually created by Skyriazeth at the very end of the novel’s production process. Out of the goodness of their heart, they helped The Team avoid a sorely empty page at the end of chapter 16 and also fulfilled the authors’ secret wish that an artist would depict the mindfuckery that happens in chapter 17. >:3c

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again, Skyriazeth, for showering so much love onto TCoLC and for letting us feature so many of your illustrations in the novel. It wouldn’t have come out as beautifully as it had without them!!

The style that this was written in was very, very intresting honestly! I really like how you potrayed both of them, and the early stages of their relationship before the takeover happened- very nice to see how Morty’s line of thinking is mixed into the dialogue and just ALL IN ALL GOOD STUFF 

This was written so spectacularly, and so sorry it took me a while to actually see this- but man this was honestly one of the better fics I’ve read lately so bless you! I hope you had a happy holiday as well! <3

Rick starts to fight back, and Morty “fixes” him.

This was interesting because I found that in order to write this, I had to decide who I think evil!Morty is and why he is that way. I drew on many different theories, but the overall one is that Ricks are being punished for the way they treated their Mortys. I also used a style of writing that I’m always enamoured with, but isn’t my usual MO. I feel it suits Morty’s personality better than my usual, organised way of writing. I think it’s rated maybe M? Well, I hope you like it!
