actually, venting through art is not something to take for granted, because I've lost that ability for more than a decade, before I grasped at it again.

I honestly don't think so. Even if we imagine that some sort of magic exists, I think making hair look a certain way underwater is just too much to ask. Unless Josuke is like a merprince and his family is royal and his dad (Joseph?) is king Triton and can make pretty dresses and do POOF to make an underwater pomp XD

Mer Josuke and Okuyasu come onto land during rain. It helps them stay hydrated and also drives away most of the people who might bother them

mer josuke and oku get around by just flopping around on land like seals

they're really good at it tho

they can outrun/outflop rohan

by doing "the worm"

koichi being mer okuyasu and mer josuke's land friend who keeps them in an inflatable kiddy pool whenever they visit land

the idea was too fun, I couldn't resist. it's a very quick messy sketch but still

imagine him and josuke as mers curious about land trying to explore the shores of morioh. they flop about on the beach to look for trinkets the humans might have dropped and sometimes they play pranks on the beachgoers, especially Rohan 😂

rohan tells everyone "a pair of mermaids are messing with him" and nobody believes him

that's a fic right there XD I love it! :> fish boys on a mission to drive a famous mangaka insane!

I think it's no secret that 5 Seconds Of Summer's  Youngblood is based on Japanese Rockabilly, who in term remind us all HEAVILY of Josuke and Okuyasu! Our fav delinquents. so.. that explains this artwork basically.
