She’s never had a father. She doesn’t know who he is, and no one else has seemed to know either. It didn’t even truly sink in to her that fathers were a thing that everyone had, at least in a biological sense, until she was nearly a teenager. It’s always just been her, alone. Her foster mother is the closest thing she had to family growing up, but she was never around, always working to be able to put food on the table... which there hardly ever was. 

But Jessie has never been angry about it. She has never wanted a father. She has never needed one. What use would he be? All Jessie has ever needed has been herself. Now James and Meowth are her first and only true family.

"HHHhhh--" she's shaking in her boots, fists clenched so tight she feels like her nails could pierce through her gloves and sink into her palms.

"That's because you aren't working with one!" She adds a charming lilt to her voice to try and detract from her burning fury. "You're an idiot if you can't see my brilliance."

Jessie gets her nails done every two weeks. She may not have money for food, but her nails are of high priority.

"You'd better not! You try one more time to tell me what to do and I'll... kick your knees out!" She stamps her foot on the ground, sending an angry pout his way. "What have you got me here waiting for anyway??"

"Do you think this flower fits me?" Bonnie pointed up to the pretty flower that's in her hair.

"Oh? Uh. Sure. Whatever," the Rocket grumbles, hardly listening. She doesn't understand why she had to be the one to get stuck with babysitting these twerps.

"Be a dear and stop talking, would you? I'll give you a cookieee..."

"This is why I knew I shouldn't have let you come with! Teammates have to believe in each other! A good partner doesn't reject the other's ideas all the time. If you want to be a good partner, you have to do the right thing and agree with me at all times!"

She's yelling at the top of her lungs with no regard to who may or may not hear them.
