Day 5 of the @stardewfanficwritersguild Guild's OC week! Today's prompt was Before the Valley! So neither fix involves Lance yet but it does go into my OCs and how they end up where they are before meeting him.

I've been getting my first comments recently and I'm always like

Yes what would you like to see more of I will write exactly that just for you, as a gift, to thank you for looking at my work and engaging because it gives me LIFE

Every time I get a comment I'm like jumping around, giddy screeching like a teenager whose crush texted them. It's so hard to focus on work when I wake up to those notifications, it's the BEST

do fic readers know that their comments actually influence the course of the story sometimes? i don't mean in a "you need to write it this way because i say so 😡" type of comment, i mean when people are asking questions or really engaging with the plot and the themes in the comments they sometimes bring up things that i didn't even think of, or dig into parts of the story that i've overlooked, or get really interested/fixated on something i was going to just kind of glance over--and it has me going 'oh wait that's actually really interesting, that's a good point' and fully adding or tweaking or changing things about the story going forward. i'm literally adding an entire additional chapter to something right now because someone's comment had me like "oh i didn't dig into that as much as i could have." you have impact!

Yeah! Its basically a modified DnD 5e? Character sheets are 5e stats, spells are modified to match the Servant's actual moves and attacks, and melee damage and weaponry is made to match 5e rolls for that weapon. Using a Noble Phantasm is a Legendary Action as are some of the servant's special moves. Then each player takes turns going about their morning, then afternoon, then night, so every gets about one to two 15 to 45ish minute "solo" sections per session. It takes a couple sessions to finish a single "day". We actually just had our first PvP combat! The servants were Mata Hari vs Aife so.... Aife won, but her master chose to spare the other master.

The plot line is set in Boston in 1923, there's a grail war that was "forced" by ~malevolent forces~. And Salem and its witch trials are featuring HEAVILY in this. I'm the co DM and can't give away too much of the plot in case a player sees 😅
