The masked guy shows up in volume 4 chapter 14. He's named Squidmask (fan translation) or Clams Facemask (VIZ books). I prefer his french name Calamask.

His shtick is that he looks like a delinquent but he's very serious, diligent, and well-mannered. He uses slang tho especially in the original Japanese text and can be quite rude.

Taiamon

Legend of Zelda fan character. They are a top tier hunter amassing hauls for the entirety of Rito Village and, as of TotK, a Zonai researcher exploring the Sky Islands. Taiamon is curious and passionate about everything the world has to offer, sometimes lamenting the impossibility of experiencing it all. They are solitary, spending most of their time tinkering, analyzing or training, but they are not opposed to the occasional social event and often help villagers and travelers. They may look intimidating but I promise they are nice. They strangely have a good amount of knowledge on Sheikah technology as well, and assist Link in confronting Divine Beast Vah Medoh.

Bibbin

Super Mario fan character. Created for a DND campaign. Bibbin is a young Blooper who resides in Pommelom Kingdom, a fanmade land. It lives peacefully in the Saucy Sea with its friends and family until the land is shaken by an energy field surrounding Fresh Apple City. Bibbin sees an odd television commercial during his out-of-sea visit and sets off on an adventure to bring peace back to the sea. It is more peaceful, friendly and playful by Blooper standards, but is often oblivious and lacks empathy. Bibbin is well trained for survival situations, but otherwise has little life experience. It enjoys exploring landfolk territory and is learning lots from there, such as their speech.

Jockstrap

Splatoon fan character. Yes he is named after his underwear  Jockstrap is an Inkling often adopting a cyan ink color. He is a drummer, streamer, and part-time student attending a music school.  He lived with his foster mother, Coralie, an axolotl, in Inkopolis between the Plaza and Square until he moved out with to the Splatlands with his girlfriend, Thong. Jockstrap is lively, amiable, and easy-going. He has a radiating presence, though not a noisy one. He is prone to laughter, patient, and rarely gets upset. Moments where he does lose his temper tend to be loud and intense but never escalate physically. He played a lot of ink battles when he was younger with his best friend Green, and still dedicates some time to participate casually. He is a Heavy Splatling and Sloshing Machine main. His favorite mode is Rainmaker, and his favorite map is Wahoo World.

i've seen this interpretation a lot that Gloves & Rider find each other annoying (even mentioned in wikis) but they've only ever had One 'conflict'. Otherwise they are litcherally just chilling

Gloves has been nice to him more than anything and Rider seems to tolerate him enough to willingly hang out with him alone.

Not sure if this was the intent but I interpreted their final interaction in the King Cup arc (4th img) as serving as a contrast to their initial meeting where they get annoyed at each other for like "copying each other"'s lines or whatever. Tho this time Rider intentionally repeats after Gloves. Not at the same time like the other instances but I think that just reinforces the fact it was done by choice and not on accident.

Either way I do think a positive development was intended there. Fans often gloss over it and I think it is a bit of a bummer. There is fun potential with them as friends : )
