NYMPHS, full artwork :) (Nymphs waiting by the lake) This Painting is a reference to one of my older paintings 'WAITING', I shared yesterday. I had the urge to do the concept again, but in a more updated natural way. With updated I mean, painted with my current flow of inspiration, and the feelings that feel now relevant to visualize. The harsh light/shadow contrast is inspired by Frank Frazetta @frazettagirls and @david_lachapelle 's amazing art. The color palette is actually inspired by my photography. Yellow and turquoise tones and pale bluish shadows. For me, this combination of colors is true magic. The final art created itself, I feel like. I thought of the creek I always wander around and collect fossils. WAITING I painted this artwork when my life felt quite boring and sad, even though I acted out a lot and experienced many adventures. After all this time, my personal meaning of this artwork changed a lot in a way that makes it still very relevant and relatable, even though my life feels completely different now. This artwork doesn't reflect sadness anymore. When I look at this artwork now, I see time passing by slowed down, and the feeling of daydreaming and zoning out, while the chaos of the world does it's thing. We all live life in our own constrictive microcosm. And this artwork reminds me of it. A daydream that feels like reality. A little bit of visual poetry for everyone like me who likes lush views, big plants and mystical places by the water. The type of image I love the most is usually about the human form in action. I much prefer photos of motion and spontaneity, rather than a perfect static pose. That's maybe that's why I'm such a bad poser. That's the reason why I included the second slide. 🌸 💮. 💮. 🌸. . 🌸. 💮 🌸. In the next slides you see the blossoms of the small cherry tree we planted. The most beautiful thing is to see him slowly bloom. This is also a little garden update. We've planted a tree, and I build a raised garden bed by myself :) (last slide) Now it's not just an object anymore, but something very special full of soul. Just like our new cherry tree. Today it's his first warm rainy day in our garden. The rain will make the soil wet and firm, so the roots will anchor themselves really into the ground.
