Louis isn’t wearing the ep5 blue cardigan during the Loustat kiss - he’s wearing the blue collared jacket. You can see the collar if you really turn up the exposure, brightness, and shadows.

It’s also the same jacket worn when he’s smashing hallucistat’s head again the wall…

So I reckon that this kiss is all part of this same scene - seeing Lestat at the jazz bar, seeing him on the walk (coincidentally, this looks like the same location where he first meeting Armand - “bring the petite beauty”), smashing him, kissing him… though in which order, who knows?
