Style swap with Celestial and Luna! No necessarily a redesign, and I knew a species swap wouldn’t really work with this pair, so I tried swapping their styles and design elements to see how they would apply on the other character (you can see what I mean most in the manes)

Last but not lease Rainbow Dash as a unicorn! She was definitely one of if not the most difficult to design and draw. The cutie mark was especially difficult. I imagine her still having a weather/rainbow themed job, but changing that to a more unicorn focused design was near impossible. So I went with a more curled cloud and a ribbon rainbow instead of a bolt.

I’m launching a Kickstarter for the hardcover edition of my art book on May 1st! The first edition softcover booklet has sold out, so this is the second edition print run of my art book - which has a much larger page size (8.5” x 8.5”) and nearly three times as much content!

This is a premium hardcover book made with Smyth-sewn binding (sturdy binding that allows the book to lay very flat), Gold Foil text treatment, and a beautiful double-sided dust jacket design. I put SO much love into it, and all the art is created with my human eyes, hands, and heart!

Fluttershy absolutely fits an earth pony. So far I think she’s the design I’ve changed the least and thought the least about in terms of story changes. I try to keep the designs personalities and jobs as close to canon as possible, which helps makes this a challenge. But Fluttershy already had earth pony written all over her so there really much else work to do.
