See I wouldn't say Rins story is about "female rage" tbh I have thought a lot about her relationship with gender and sex but ultimately I don't think that her rage is solely about the injustice that women face in society, her rage comes from the intersection of gender, class, and most of all race. i am obsessed with using the apocalyps archetype to explain them . they are obvious opposites with a life that you can almost compare perfectly, born and judged good or bad, follow through school in the same cycle of becoming ambiguously involved in every accident, join a war on opposite sides all the while being intrinsically connected to the other side, having your parents support you through the battle of Hogwarts, and then emerge being granted eternal life and reward or punishment.

they follow it bar for bar and it makes me sick !!! I can only really imagine them actually dating in a 'everyone goes back to Hogwarts and finishes school AU', where they are just literally used as the most extreme example of forgiveness and becoming a community again by the ministry and end up realising that through being complete opposites their lives are actually intrinsically connected etc etc

ive been thinking sooo much of them during them during the summer, poor remus is a sweaty, miserable lethargic bf moping around their apartment and finding small little battery powered fans. nagini is lying on roofs and concrete paths trying to soak up all the sun, she is causing absolute scandal by tanning in bikinis and is refusing to ever, ever bring a fan into her house in 20-30 degree weather. they are both cold beer in sun enthusiasts and are absolutely lying side by side with remus in a trees shade and nagini in the sun sharing beers and books

*unbelievably deep sigh* the reason fascists and misc racists want to "return" to the classical world isnt bc they dont "understand" it. they understand it v well. they want to return to it bc the classical world was imperialist. many greek poleis were imperialist. the hellenistic kingdoms were imperialist. the roman republic was imperialist. the roman empire was imperialist. they want to return to them bc they were empires built on conquest, occupation, enslavement, exploitation and oppression. they like it bc theyre imperialists. bc they support conquest, occupation, enslavement, exploitation and oppression, and they want to do more. they know that there are some aspects that were "uncomfortable" to them, namely different perceptions of homosexual/homosocial relationships between men and boys. pointing that out isnt a gotcha, this isnt a discrepancy to their ideology. its simply irrelevant to them (not to mention the classical perception of homosexual/homosocial relationships was built on exploitation and misogyny as well, but alas).

Voldemort as a money hungry, power hungry, egotistical priest with his beautiful, cynical and unbelieving nun who both run their parish like two mini monarchs. Voldemort, nagini and harry who become so genuinely intertwined and connected that they convince themselves that they are a reiteration of the Holy Spirit, so that any sin that they may commit because of this tie is completely justified in the eyes of god because of their inherent holiness.
