Quick questions, did Gem ever say something about being/not being neurodivergent?

I know she has an autistic brother and thinks she's probably dyslexic, as far as I can remember she has never mentioned anything about being or not being autistic/ADHD herself. She does give me neurospicy vibes sometimes and I might have just missed something if she mentioned it once or smth.

For me, the main reason why I like RPF is because I sometimes find it difficult to separate the cc from the character. Or I guess I just constantly (subconsciously) analyse how the actions of the character reflect the actual cc.

With this in mind, I don't really know what to make of the whole 'the villys/Gem are kinda toxic towards Pearl' thing that's going on around Tumblr.

I feel like a lot of it is just 3 people trying to play the villains while it's pretty hard to do that while still making funny content. To me that's the main reason why Gem (cc or c idk anymore...) loves the violent version of Pearl.

New Chapter!!

Just posted the second chapter of Loved you from the start! Summary: Gem realizes she can't repress her feelings for Pearl any longer and needs to figure out how she feels about her best friend.

Sadly the second chapter of 'loved you from the start', my gempearl RPF fic, will be a little late.

Although I had a lot of plans for this fic prior to writing it, writing the first chapter was kinda a spur of the moment thing and I didn't do any proper planning before writing it.

I have done a bit more planning now and I'm working on the new chapter, so it should be uploaded later this week.

Rating how good lifers' irl names fit them!

Note: Some cc's have said they are uncomfortable with their irl name being spread, but I know a lot of people still know their irl names. As a compromise I still included a rating but didn't mention their name. Please be respectful of the cc's and do not comment their irl names!

Gem: Taylor - 7/10

It fits her in a different way than Gem fits her so it wouldn't work to use both names simultaneously but it does fit.

Scar: iykyk - 8/10

He looks like an *insert name*. It doesn't fit his personality as well as his appearance, but I can totally see it.

Impulse: Scott - 4/10

It is fun for the Gem and the Scotts bit, but It so does not fit his character.

(One bonus point because for the quiet games Gem and Impulse were team 'the Swifties' and Taylor (swift)s dads name is Scott)

Grian: iykyk - 5/10

Kinda neutral on this one, it just doesn't match at all with his Minecraft skin.

Skizz: Andy - 6/10

I can kinda see it, but I'm not sure it feels correct. It almost fits him, to me it's an uncanny valley situation.

Bdubs: John - 3/10

No. Just no.

Mumbo: Oli - 5/10

Very devided on this one. It does fit his voice and appearance but it doesn't fit his editing style or Minecraft skin.

Pearl: iykyk - 8/10

I honestly think it's really nice and it fits her vibe! Pearl just feels a little more grounded.

Honestly this means so much to me. I find it pretty difficult to actually write rpf even tho It's living rent free in my head, for some reason writing non-rpf content seems so much easier. Also totally not complaining about it, but rpf doesn't get as much interaction bc not many people want connect themselves with rpf content so when someone takes the time to comment or smth it really makes my day<3

It's the unconditional support for me. It's the way Gem and Pearl always hype each other up.

It's all the small things they do without seeming to think about it, Gem telling Pearl during past life to go get end stone so she wouldn't be caught in the crossfire of the secret society, Pearl almost counting on Gem interrupting her streams for a while, etc.

Is it just me, or does Gem seem kinda lonely.

I might just perceive it like that because she's valuing her privacy and not sharing certain details of her life (which is totally valid) but there have been a few things that made me understand why she'd consider moving to the UK:

- she once mentioned not really having a lot of (close) irl friends. She only ever talks about spending time with her family, but she never mentions any friends

- how bad her dip was after the charity event + her mentioning she thought she was the happiest she'd ever be on the trip makes me feel like the other ccs are the actual people that make her feel loved way more than any irl friends.

- Oli actually mentioned Gem seemed a little down lately, so it isn't completely unreasonable to guess she's feeling lonely

- both her friends in England and the Arizona dads hang out with eachother irl all the time and most of her friends have significant others, meanwhile she's all alone in Newfoundland.
