I think that the most important part about Colm Fahey's character is the one that people ignore, and that is that Colm completely fucked Jesper up. He is a loving father, he wants nothing but the very best for his son, he has faced awful loss and is incredibly patient, even when he doesn't have to be. And he still ruined Jesper. His own fears and grief was projected onto his son. The love he held for Jesper is what ruined him. People forget that yes, Aditi's loss was horrific for Jesper, it destroyed him and set him on a destructive path, but Colm is the one that kept him walking on that path, instead of turning him around. Jesper doesn't hate being Zowa because of his mother's death, he hates it because of Colm's influence. He didn't feel safe to come home when his gambling got bad. Jesper and his father are very, very much the Ted Lasso conversation of; "Thank you, and fuck you."

We love Colm. Jesper loves Colm. I love Colm, so so much. He still ruined his son.

after rewatching the prequels i always read your comics because they heal my star wars depression and i can gaslight myself that everything was okay and your versions are canon

you're in good company bc the other day i remembered that when i was 7 i used to pretend my playmobil figures were star wars characters and play out "padme lived and everyone is happy!!" to cure my baby sw sadness. so apparently i haven't changed as a person in about 15 years and i've also been gaslighting myself for all 15 of those years

I was about to post about how if Kaz Brekker was a modern aesthetic it would be punk, but then i realized wait NO. Punks hate big corps and capitalism and police and want equality, which is also what Kaz believes in too, but the Big™ difference is Kaz only wants these things if they're not his - bro would happily do most of the above if it meant HE was the one in power instead of someone else (not very punk mindset my dude) this THEN made me think about what aesthetic he is. Because he dresses like a business man, (polo shirts, basically) but in all black (a sign of rebellion, death, and a pretty big statement in a flashy place like ketterdam - kinda goth). AND THEN IT HIT ME. kaz doesn't correlate to ANY modern aesthetic because he quite literally MADE HIS OWN to SUIT HIM. My man said BRICK BY BRICK INCLUDING MY DRIP.

arguably, one of the most iconic things he's done yet.
