The beginning

New to tumblr and creative writing, but I’ve been a big fan of the League of Legends universe for as long as I can remember, and I was thinking this is the place to do it. The plan is to create and expand on the pre-existing lore that already exists for Runeterra as a place, and flesh out pre-existing storylines and cement strongly held theories. As an example, the current short story I am working on is about answering how Tryndamere gains his power, consolidating a pre-existing theory that’s very strongly corroborated by his biography, but skips a lot of the interesting bits imo, as is with a lot of Runeterra lore - it tends to skip some of the genesis of certain structures, characters and creations, which is something that, in my humble opinion, tends to flesh out worldbuilding and storytelling. I aim to stay as true to the lore as written without trying to do any major re-writes of things already stated, though if people notice any discrepancies compared to real lore, feel free to let me know. More than anything I think though, I’m looking to exercise my creative writing skills. Maybe someday, this will be something people can look at. Maybe later I will think this was a waste of time. Ultimately, this is for me - if it grows into something greater, I hope to continue it.

I should probably also publish on archive of our own, I hear that place is where to go, as this essentially falls under fan-fiction, loathe I may that title. I will also post links to the uploaded stories here. If this blows up and people like what I’m doing (and even if not!) I would appreciate any help/feedback, and I’m considering polling for bits of lore from Runeterra that deserve fleshing out; though before anything else, it will be a while before I do anything PnZ related due to it easily being the region with the most lore already. My favourite character from League (and my main) are both Jinx, but anyone has to admit her story has had the most spotlight over the recent years, while other plot points crucial to many characters are explained away in two or three lines.

As someone that appreciates a good read, that kind of infuriates me, so I’m trying to set that right. This project is inspired not in the least by the “Still Here” cinematic, that not only inspires the Tryndamere story to a large degree and is what started this project, but is a banger tune and also something I find resonance with. It also, in typical Riot fashion, raises many more questions than it answers, which can be a good thing to some but infuriating to others. You may find I am the latter.
