Okay, here's my humble yearly Artfight advice, because with every AF, there's always a bit of an ongoing cycle:
While you can't ever guarantee revenges, your chances of getting art back are always higher if you target people with positive ratios. There's a lot of people on site who have +75% attack ratios (meaning they've drawn way more art than they have received). Go target them! They deserve love AND are way more likely to return art!
DO NOT fall for random celeb tiktokker with 50k followers who is, for the seventh year in a row, promising they will be revenging all the art they get all while their ratio sits at a whooping 5%! There's always some people like this and a lot of younger folk fall for it again and again. And then these people don't even bother with commenting on the art they receive
In my experience, it's younger folk or people who are newer to art that will go more apeshit (affectionate) about the art they receive. If you really wanna make someone's entire week, find yourself someone who is new to AF or someone who has just started drawing and give them a lil something, they will adore it!
Artfight can be a great opportunity to make friends. I've met some wonderful people through exchanging art there. Use the search function to find characters tagged as things you have an interest in and go ham. Chances are, you may meet someone with similar interests who may end up becoming a long term friend.
While receiving revenges is great, don't try to guilt trip people for them. Don't go around posting comments on people's profiles like "If I draw for you will you revenge me??" Just draw for the person if you'd like to draw for them, don't do it expecting the whole situation to be a transaction
A lot of people will mention in their profiles whether they are revenging or not. It's a good idea to check that out if you are interested in revenges- But never take these as a 100% guarantee
Comment on art you have received! It doesn't need to be a deep comment. Sometimes gushing over it and dropping 30 emojis and a big thank you gets the point across. It can be rather daunting to not receive any confirmation that the person you drew for even saw the art you made for them.
And honestly, just be honest with yourself and how much art you can make without burning out or hurting yourself. Make your stretches, rest your hand, and try to have fun without sacrificing your health on the way!

"Oh whatever happened to my sweet Lio".
Mrs Cavendish said between the clinking of silverware on the smooth white porcelain. He had finally accepted an invitation back to his old family estate. It had been twenty years since he had last spoken to his family, and thirty five since he had been embraced.
Elliott did not reply, only picking at his food apathetically.
"It's been so long since we last saw you, you've just been so unreachable"
She added.
"Mother, you have to understand, my work keeps me busy"
Elliott answered, his tone dry and distant.
"Your father never disappeared like you have Elliott, and his businesses are far more demanding than whatever you've decided to go and do"
Mrs. Cavendish said, her tone increasingly annoyed with her son's silence, and though he was not expressive, Elliott could tell his father felt the same. He heard him grumble under his breath, incomprehensible bumbling from an old man with nothing more to do other than sit on the wealth he had accumulated.
"Everything that we have done for you, and your response is disappearing suddenly after we helped you open up your little firm"
She said between a sigh, still focused on her plate, taking another bite from her food.
Elliott took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts, and preparing the same tired speech that he used as an excuse whenever one of his old acquaintances asked for him.
"My clients are very powerful people Mother, and remaining too close might get you involved in business i do not want you implicated in"
It was true, though he avoided half the details of what his real work was. If he had dared to go in detail, to actually tell the truth to his poor old mother, he would have nothing in the strange new world he had been dragged into.
"Who even are these people Elliott? That you have to stop writing and visiting us for so long? to just disappear?"
His mother added, looking up from her plate, her eyes watery and filled with melancholy.
Elliott wished he could just come clean, to confess and to face the consequences of what he had become instead of running further and further away. He looked up, detailing his mother's face one last time. He noticed the now deep wrinkles and crow's feet on the corner of her eyes, how her once black hair was almost completely grey, and how she tried to hide it with how she styled her hair. He looked at her loose skinned neck decorated with rows of pearls, her dry arms, and her gloves covering what he knew were her now veiny and spotted hands.
She was aging, and he was unchanging.
He stayed silent, his lips pursed as he picked at the food in front of him.
To her he was still a bright young man, recently graduated, ready to take over an entrepreneurial empire that his father had built for the family, and more importantly a legacy to protect. Elliott could only try to keep that image alive, but Lio was gone. He had died thirty five years ago, and his mother would mourn him until she was senile, but he would mourn her for eternity.

Little thing i thought up for my Vampire the Masquerade pc Elliott! A huge part of his story is how his relationship with his family changed, since he is/was the only son of a very rich family, and therefore their heir. He never had a GREAT relationship with them ,but also never had a reason to disappear, as some vampires do once embraced.
Apologies for shaky grammar or like weirdly phrased things, english isn't my first language and I'm still practicing my writing skills lol
