You ever accidentally call your teacher mom? Only this is worse because you live in her house with her family and you're not sure if it's due to prolonged exposure to her kids or because it's a Freudian slip and you kind of do want her to be your mom deep down--

Have you ever been hungry but you already had all the good stuff you actually wanted to eat so you've either gotta settle for something you don't want or starve to death-

Historically, Bragi has always greatly appreciated a good Beverage, namely soda and juice, and Dulze has always had to keep a steady supply of juice on hand to keep him from getting too fussy. It works wonders, even if her juice budget is so high now.

And then Daima accidentally gave his fussing some weight by revealing these guys only drink liquids in order to survive. I'm ignoring that on account of Bragi's entire existence is no longer lore compliant to begin with so I can do what I want now, but it was extremely funny to play around with.

The "green juice" is actually apple, which is his favorite flavor of both beverage and candy, but given that he comes from a similar looking fruit (or did, again, Daima lore is a whole other thing and I'll have a post about eventually when my wrists heal enough to draw the remaining things I need to draw for it), no one has the heart to tell him. Grape is the worst--

So, Bragi's woefully bad at money. There isn't much need for it when usually he can just make whatever he wants. This is usually also very convenient for covering up the fact that he struggles a lot with even basic math. Unfortunately, he's had his abilities nerfed for so long that he frequently forgets that's even a thing he can do again, so paying for things is usually the ol' Guess and Hope method. On the plus side, he lives with a teacher now, so now he has no choice but to learn money!

If this looks familiar (minus the bonus doodle), it's because it's a repost of a comic I very sadly had to delete due to mass retcons. However, I needed to test some things, so I figured I'd use this as an opportunity edit the one singular panel I needed to edit to make it postable again, and now it's postable again!

I have desperately needed to update my oc references, so who better to start with than Bragi? (click the images for better quality, tumblr fucking crunched them)

Due to the absolutely abysmal state of his canon at the moment, I felt like it would be helpful to make multiple references for the different points i'll be jumping around in, to give a clearer visual of when something is supposed to be happening based on whatever outfit he's wearing.

There aren't actually "seasons" to any of my OCs, it's really more of a little name I used to distinguish Bragi pre and post redemption.

There was also a vest design, but due to [garbled static] that's no longer canon unless we feel like re-stabbing him to death-- Probably won't happen but just in case I did this one too.

The "seasonal" divides here are more based in whether or not he's married (which mostly coincides with that same pre-/post-redemption Bragi divide--)

In some ways he was much easier to to do, and in other ways he was much harder lol

Last and certainly not least of my main OCs, here's Tomor! (Please quick for higher quality, tumblr keeps crunching my shit)

He doesn't have a "Season 2" design as he basically is a "Season 2" character. This, combined with the fact that he's the most symmetrically designed of my ocs, made him the absolute easiest to draw.

Though I'm sure with enough time and character development, he'll warrant an outfit change lol

I have a couple other characters I wanna make similar refs of (some of them a handful of you have seen, and some of them you haven't), as well as some more detailed facial expression refs and like, clothing breakdowns.

Bragi loves the idea of dressing up in cute costumes and demanding candy from strangers, but his overall understanding of Halloween is largely limited to whatever is appropriate for 4-6 year olds because that's what he lives with, but that's probably for the best because he can't handle anything even slightly scary lmao

Aneas doesn't understand this holiday at all but he's just happy to be included. He's not sure why someone would give him a rock, he didn't even know that was an option, but ultimately he probably wouldn't mind too much because he can't eat that much candy anyway-- Besides, the rock will look nice in his garden lol

Tomor's under the cut because I don't want to spoil the vibes of my friend's Halloween card yet lol

Tomor will say it's a stupid dumb mortal holiday but he'd get way more into it than he'd care to admit. Tho he's mostly here for the spooky vibes, because scaring people is funny. There may be other, slightly gayer reasons he's specifically decided to be a vampire tho--

But at least some semblance of peace can be established now. Dulze gets a bit of a break and Bragi gets that much needed external validation ( turns out you don't get a lot of that when you're rude and stinky and generally unapproachable because you think you're better than everyone else--) and everyone wins!

Now I suppose the big question here is if I will keep doing comics and other things in a chronological order

And the answer to that is probably not. Like I have a couple of comics in the works that are semi-chronological, but after that, it's pretty much anything goes as I go about figuring shit out and getting inspired lol

Since everything is very loose and floaty I am just going to do whatever I feel like doing, and once things feel less floaty, what I will probably do is create an index with which to consume this shit in a proper chronological order, since I've basically had to nuke my original narrative tag from orbit

New Bragi continuity, new Bragi origins, same Bragi time and same Bragi channel

While Bragi's sentenced to U7 for his inability to appreciate mortal life and get his head out of his ass, Dulze is ultimately sentenced to Bragi for her inability to say no to her kids.

Deeji on the other hand is utterly enamored. You know that scene in Lilo and Stitch where Lilo is like "send me an angel, the nicest one you have" and then Stitch lands all stinky and diabolical? That's Deeji and Bragi. Being far smarter and more cynical than the average 4 year old, she doesn't have a lot in the way of friends. But at this point, Bragi is also very smart and cynical and lonely, so perhaps they're kindred spirits? Bragi doesn't think so, but he's stinky and wrong, so don't listen to him--
