hey man i just wanna say i seriously appreciate your posts documenting you fixing things you own or making them yourself, like the shorts or the post youre doing right now about trying to repair your boots. im the kinda person who struggles with the idea of repairing things myself because i cant imagine id be any good but the idea of trying even if its gonna take a while or trying even if its not doing so hot at first motivates me to try when i next get the opportunity
I can't stress this enough: Start with something that's worth nothing to you. Weave something out of literal trash that you were about to throw out. Make sure that it's something that cannot be ruined or made into something worse than it was before. That's how you start building confidence in your abilities, and progress into making bad items better, mediocre items good, and eventually into making good stuff even better.

Missing Prompts
Still Missing Them:
"I can hear their voice, commenting on every stupid idea I have."
"Do you think they also miss me?"
"It's stupid to miss them so much."
"I miss even the things I hate about them."
"Every place reminds me of them, and it only makes me miss them more."
"I wake up and I miss them. I go to bed and I can't fall sleep."
"Being apart from them is the only thing I never want to get used to."
"I miss the dumbest things about them."
"I just want to be close to them again."
"It's like there is something just missing in my life."
Having Missed Them:
"I missed you every day. And every night you were with me in my dreams."
"It was like I had lost a limb. A part of me that nothing could replace."
"Every second without you felt like a lifetime."
"I spent every day wishing for this moment. For you to come back to me."
"Not sure what exactly I was missing."
"I felt so lost without you."
"It almost destroyed me. Missing them like crazy."
"Maybe I just missed what I thought we had."
"I don't ever want to feel that empty without you again."
Not Missing Them Anymore:
"I don't miss you anymore. Maybe the person you once were to me. But not you now."
"I used to miss you. Past tense."
"Being away from you made me realize that I'm fine without you."
"I thought I couldn't live without you. Turned out I can."
"Your absense felt massive. Now it feels like freedom."
"I finally stopped missing you the moment I realized you never missed me.
"You taught me a valuable lesson. I shouldn't miss what I never had."
"Letting go was easier than I thought."
"I wish you would have stayed away."
"I never thought I would ever get over you."
"Now I don't ever think about them anymore."

📣 NEW SUBSTACK POST: “Rewriting a Weak Scene” is up!!
hey writer friends 👋 i just dropped a ✨new✨substack post all about what i actually do when a scene in my WIP feels… limp. flat. like, emotionally dead on arrival. (we’ve all been there.)
💀 it’s not about "fixing your prose" 🪚 it’s about tearing the scene down + rebuilding it with purpose.
in this one, i break down: ➤ my personal rewrite checklist ➤ what i always cut first ➤ how i rework character movement + tension ➤ what i’m trying to do with every scene (even the quiet ones) ➤ and a real before/after example from my WIP Project Moth (aka lina's (my mc's) cursed little world 💔)
✨ there’s also a bonus bit showing how i turned a “she dies in an alley” scene into “oh no wait she says something horrifying and lina has to emotionally disassociate.” so. fun times.
read it here: post
🔁 reblogs are life!! and if you’re already subbed - ily. 🖤
also. if you want me to do a reader scene breakdown sometime?? drop a comment. i am so down.
xx rin t.

I am trying to get my social medias up and i don't fucking know how people do it.
I can't even get myself to take my daily medication everyday without forgetting.
What the fuck do you mean I have to post every day something, should do story's and put a shit ton of hashtags in there what makes writing captions the least streassfull thing about it.
And why do I want to put myself thru the hellhole of shit that social media is?
Because I wanna start commissions but can't when my only fucking followers is my goddamn boyfriend.
What do u mean, i have to actually draw and finish shit so I have a portfolio of shit to post.
Otherwise, you would just struggle with trying to punch out art every day.
Maybe I should start taking my medication with posting to at least try to force me to do both daily....

Tender Actions for Characters Who Are Yearning (But Not Together… Yet)
(aka: I crave you in silence, and if you notice, I’ll die and also be thrilled)
・❥・Letting their hand hover near yours but never quite touching. Every atom screaming: please reach back.
・❥・ Saving the last bite of something, “just in case you wanted it.” (They always do. You always remember.)
・❥・ Fixing their backpack strap, even when it’s not falling.
・❥・ Offering your umbrella wordlessly. Standing a little closer than needed.
・❥・ Sitting beside them at a group thing before your brain catches up. Like it’s instinct.
・❥・ Casually mentioning something they said weeks ago. Something small. Something they didn’t think you’d remember.
・❥・ Carrying an extra pen, just in case they forget.
・❥・ Letting them rant. Letting them ramble. Letting them be.
・❥・ Your eyes finding theirs in a crowd before your brain says, look away.
・❥・ Brushing against them “by accident” and apologizing even though it lit your whole nervous system on fire.

So i am watching Underworld w my boyfriend, and I am again reminded why I love the movies too much.
[Spoiler about Michaels Role in the Movie Series]
|| Michael's character could have easily been a "girl in the fridge" character for Celine, as she is the protagonist.
The fact that there is an actual character arc and important interactions for Celines arc. Most movies nowadays would have probably had a few important moments and would have been killed in a stupid way. Like, girl in the fridge.
His character is also well written and has deep thoughts and emotions with memories and experiences that are reflected in his actions in a realistic way. ||
So, yes, I think Underworld is one of the best portrayed fantasy movie series made.
The realistic sound design, for example when Viktors coffin is opened and lifted you can hear the heavy machinery behind it. The stone scraping against stone. Or when Viktor removes the needles for the transfusion. You can hear that the metal is made up of two parts, what is shown, when he removes the needles from the base. The sound of all these actions echo sharp from the empty stone halls.
I am sad and also frustrated that only a few movies nowadays are produced with this love to detail for the story itself.
Sometimes I feel like the movies industries changed from telling moving stories to what sells the best and what will be a widely loved story. Wich sadly kills new interesting unconventional ideas to be produced in bigger formats and most important of all FINISHED.

So I just was informed of something very interesting
I am struggling with ADHD as long as I remember and especially with executive disfunction
more info for executive function:
So guess how shocked I was when I learned that people w ADHD have a 30% delay in Age of executive function.
For an example an eight year old w adhd has the executive function of a five to six year old (5.6)
I always felt like I was much younger than my peers and after mathing it myself, as a 23 year old I have the executive function of a 16 year old.
I am also studying my second university degree (not native speaker, so excuse the wording), after dropping out of my first (to a certain degree bc of my struggles w mental health and ADHD. )
So, for everyone wondering why u feel like everything is harder for you with adhd aside from the plethora of symptoms. This can maybe bring some peace and better coping for "adult" tasks.
... so how was everyone else's morning?

Hey btw, this is how I attach loops on fabric strips for belts, decorative straps, etc. Take a soda can tab, attach it to the loop with jewellery chain links, and then sew them both onto the inside of the fabric before sewing the seam shut.

Neurodivergent assassin who very casually uses their weapons as stim.
Turning on and off the safety of their gun. Tapping and spinning their dagger. Watching the poison in the vial move as they flip in and then back.
Nobody says anything because...well they're an assassin.
Turns on safety, presses trigger, turns off safety repeat.
People around them are in constant fear.
Chewing the end of their poison tipped dagger when they try to figure out a plan.
Wash their hands too much cause they don't like how sticky blood is.
However overtime it becomes a weird single to others.
Everyone is anxious trying to figure something out and they hear a little "click click" and it's just slightly calming to know that they have this person there and they are thinking of a plan.
Someone hands them a drink but it flows just a little too weird and they are like, "hmm that's poison" then chuck it because they have built up immunity.
No table that doesn't have something carved into it.
Never a situation where they don't have enough bullets because this person takes out the cartridge and puts it back as stim.
They take apart their guns and put them back over time being crazy fast and efficient with it.
Just give me a neurodivergent assassin/spy.

I am studying Technical Information design.
Wich is a lot of Datamanagement and Organisation, a bit programming and to my very strong distaste. Adobe.
I already got some experiences with it bc I learned it for 1.5y in school.
So what do u do when they expect u to "try something fun out", in Adobe Photoshop.
I could explain the more nuanced stand point but I think fuck them in particular is enough.
So I made a little something
Tumblr media
I am unimaginable, proud of it.
And it didn't crash once, which is impressive, less so when u realise that i spent only 10 minutes actually doing the poster after trying to find an image of a burning dumpster that is not fucking AI

Book smart, street smart, and the secret third thing: wilds smart
Can't necessarily read books, people, or situations, but leave that mf in the wilderness for three hours and they've found four pretty good camp-building sites, a source of potable water, and a badger's nest.

One must never underestimate an opponent who does not fear death. An enemy who values your death more than their own life is unpredictable - you cannot assume that there is anything they wouldn't dare to do. Risk a blow to distract you, run right into your sword in order to get their own into you, tackle you off a cliff to throw you both into your deaths. An enemy that does not seek to survive is ruthless, they will think in ways so alien to you, that you cannot anticipate what they might do. The best defense you can have is to never make enemies like this.
The same fear and respect should also apply to clowns. They do not fear shame or mockery, they have no honour to lose by becoming laughingstock. A clown will not hesitate to look ridiculous, if tackling you makes you both look stupid. A clown does not fear losing their dignity for as long as they can take yours down with them.
Do not make enemies with clowns.

How to Write SIBLING Relationships
If you're looking to write a sibling relationship but don't fully understand how a sibling relationship actually works, this is for you! As someone who has a younger brother, here are some points you'll want to consider when writing siblings!
Oldest, Middle, and Youngest
First, let's talk about the three types of siblings and explore their general roles, expectations, and characterization within a family!
*Oldest*
Starting with the oldest child, oftentimes, the eldest child is expected to act as the most responsible and as the role model. This doesn't mean they will go out of their way to set an example, but typically, no matter their personality and relationship with their younger siblings, they will have an innate sense of duty and protectiveness over their siblings. They want their siblings to enter the right path.
As the role model, the oldest child normally feels the most stress and anxiety, yet they also try not to show it to avoid worry from others. They highly value independence.
*Middle*
I'm sure you've heard of the jokes that the middle child is invisible child, and while those jokes are often exaggerated, the truth isn't terribly far off.
Between the eldest and youngest child, the middle child has a more difficult time standing out, which may lead to more reckless behavior for attention. They are characterized as more free-spirited and might act as a mediator between the youngest and oldest.
They will likely be more responsible and experienced than the youngest but can act similarly to the youngest.
*Youngest*
The youngest child can look like many things. Sometimes, you'll see the youngest is the most spoiled because they're the parents' favorite, and sometimes they're ignored because they have the least experience. Despite that, they have their fair share of pressures and burdens because they are often expected to meet, if not surpass, the achievements of their older siblings.
The General Dynamic
A sibling relationship differs from a typical friendship. They WILL find each other more annoying, but that doesn't mean they can't get along.
Siblings are also more honest and nit-pickier with each other. For example, if a friend changes the radio without asking, the character might not think too much of it. However, if their brother changes the radio without asking, then the character will likely feel irritated and call them out for it.
And when I say honest, I don't mean that they're super honest with each other emotionally, because that's not always the case. When I mean honest, I mean they're rather honest with each other at a surface, verbal level. They hardly hesitate to say their thoughts and can be pushy about them.
They will have an opinion on everything.
Personalities
If you've ever had some friends that have siblings, I'm sure that you're aware sometimes siblings can be similar and sometimes they're total opposites.
However, this doesn't mean that a pair of "opposite" siblings are ying and yang. While they may seem visibly different, such as fashion sense, and introvert or extrovert, there are still shared traits that they hold. This is especially true if they're biological siblings and/or raised in the same environment together.
They influence each other, so there's bound to be some similarities in personality or values no matter how distinct each one is.
Love, Even If Unseen
No matter what, siblings love each other. They might not say it, they might not express it, or they might show it in a toxic and unhealthy way, but there's always an underlying sense of familial love. These are the people that your character has (or was supposed to) grown up with, after all.
There's going to be attachment, they will defend each other, even if they claim to hate the other.
Parents
Okay guys, now let's move on to parents and how they might play a part in sibling relationships!
*Comparisons*
Regardless of whether you have a sibling or not, you've likely experienced what it feels like to be compared to someone else. I'm not saying people with siblings have it worse, but they do have a wider range of people to be compared with.
It's not uncommon for parents to compare their children to each other, and it's not uncommon either for a child to compare themselves to their siblings. Sometimes, outsiders and/or distant family members will also compare the siblings, causing feelings of inferiority and envy.
When siblings have a poor relationship, it can sometimes be because of the parents.
*Fighting and Arguments*
Siblings fight and argue a LOT. However, you'd be mistaken if you thought a parent resolves all of these fights.
The truth is, after a certain age is reached, parents won't step in or resolve a fight unless it's right in front of them. They expect their children to be mature enough to solve their issues out, and honestly? They were tired of breaking up conflicts years ago.
Bonus point: yes, siblings can fight often, but the quarrels are usually forgotten pretty quick too. I've had several fights with my brother in which we were back to normal literally a few hours later the spat. Will I remember it for the next year? Absolutely. But do I care anymore? Not really.
Conclusion
This post may not apply to all siblings--everyone has different types of relationships--but here are some good points to start at!
TL;DR: The eldest sibling has the most responsibility, the middle sibling is a blend between the oldest and youngest and often strives for attention, and while the youngest sibling may look like they have it the easiest, they have their pressures too. Sibling relationship does not mimic a friendship, and they will have similar traits despite distinct personalities. They love and care for each other, even if it doesn't look that way. Having siblings sets up for many comparisons between them, and parents won't always resolve sibling spats.
I'll likely release some posts detailing how to write specific sibling relationships, so let me know if you want to see one in particular! Thank you for making it here!
Happy writing~
