Harpuia's eyes widened as Fefnir lunged towards him. In any other situation, he would have been able to escape the grapple with ease. However, the room was cramped and his joints were filled with caked sand. He was grounded, for lack of a better word, and it dragged him down exponentially. It was no surprise that he was caught, but he struggled in Fefnir's grip. Struggle he did.
But it was a futile effort.
"Hey!" He audiably complained as water suddenly streamed at him, he was fairly certain it was Leviathan's fault, squirming a little more as he tried to reach for the mechaniloid in Fefnir's other hand.
On the upside, his joints and body were getting cleaned. On the downside, he did not feel fairly comfortable with the current arrangement.
Bird Bath @thefairyleviathan & sageharpuia
Fefnir only needed Levi’s okay before the plan was in motion. Capture a bird, and make sure he got nice and ‘clean’.
But not without having some fun and forcing his socially inept older brother into warfare with them.
"Well too bad!" The fire guardian giggled and ran right over to Harpuia, and in a quick move, he grabbed his sibling under the arms in a wrestling hold, "gotcha, birdy! You’re not escaping from fun this time! Let ‘er rip, Leviii!"
He still had a hold of his own water mechaniloid in his right hand as he held his sibling in place. Nope, he wasn’t going to escape.

Harpuia turned to look at his siblings as they spoke, memorizing their voices, cataloging it. They were unique, he figured it would be important to remember how they sounded like, other than how they looked like. As such, his first files archived were these: X's voice frequency and face, his sibling's voices, their apprearance, and the looks of the room he had been created in.
He returned his gaze to X as he began to speak, trying to understand everything he had been told. Hard to explain, easier to understand when experienced. They were technically X;s children. He nodded to himself, filing this away, and blinked his oculars twice as he was told to stand, as they would be leaving. Looking at himself, he carefully disconnected the rest of him from the capsule before following Phantom's lead, slowly setting his right foot down and putting some pressure as he slowly learned what it felt like to put weight on his servos. He afterwards set his left foot down, trying to stand and almost falling back from the extra weight on his upper torso and head. He gripped the capsule as he stabilized, then slowly righted himself as his body calibrated to his weight distribution.
He waited, standing still, then slowly took a step, then another, following after X as he relished and learned the feeling of walking.
But he felt he was meant for more. He knew he was. He was built for flight, but the ground was nice. A good starting point.
The garden was a stark contrast to the laboratory and hallways, so alive compared to the dreary grays of the indoors. His eyes were fascinated, taking everything in as he slowly walked further out, overwhelmed. There was so much color and life.
Once the whole world had been like this. He understood the concept of world, but failed to grasp just how big it was. However, he was fairly certain it was rather large.
He failed to notice his Master's weariness, his skill in listening to tones not as sharp as it would be, had he not been a newbuilt. Instead, he took it all in stride as it was said, wandering to the nearest plant and admiring it without touching. It was alive, a living thing. He knew that, he had to be careful.
"Does the story of another day tell why the world doesn't all look like this?" He asked, curious, as he slowly knelt to further examine the plant.
A Change in Perspective
The Fire Guardian watched as his sister woke up. She seemed more friendly than the other two, and he grinned at her before he turned back to the small blue reploid before them.
Fefnir blinked at his master, his loud voice forgotten, as he seemed… so awkward all of a sudden. He tilted his head to the side as he listened to him curiously, and then, they were offered a choice.
Phantom gave his okay at the idea of going out to the Gardens to interact, but the biggest reploid was interested in the combat tests, too. Something about them very much drew his interest, even minutes after his activation.
And so, when given the choice, while his older brothers left to to X to decide, Fefnir took the options given and thought about it with what little information he had on it, which was barely any, being just born.
"Let’s go to the Gardens, and then tests later?" he proposed with a grin. It seemed the most logical choice for him at least.

Harpuia nodded tensely, looking down at his feet afterwards before looking back up to the human scientist, taking the scolding and wondering if he had done too badly. He seemed about to speak, to refute Weil's claim of being unimportant, but thought better of it. Was he even allowed to talk back to a human? He was not sure and, as such, decided to instead remain silent.
Shutting his mouth, he stood rigid to the phrase Weil used. Good? Glad? He allowed himself to quirk his mouth to a smile at that. They were doing good, and he was being praised for his efforts. He would have to comment to his fellow siblings about this, as they had been praised as well. "Thank you, sir. We aim to please." He struggled hard to not let another 'sir' slip out. He was too nervous as it was.
Of course, it seemed he was unable to help the scientist, and he took this in stride, nodding in affirmative. Whatever project Weil was working on, it had to be good, right? People normally did good things, at least from what he had been told, and he supposed he should firmly believe it. He had no evidence to the contrary, after all. "Very well. It is not a problem, doctor Weil, sir-" Was the sir at the end correct? He was vexed at this, although his expression did not show it. This was hardly on purpose, though.
Still, the scientist was offering to do something for him... but what? What should he ask for? Should he even accept. With a stutter, he tried to answer to the human, but seemed to struggle with this for a few seconds.
"V-very well. I am not certain as to what I should ask f-for." He stated, then righted himself, He should not stutter... it was not proper. He allowed for his voice system to disconnect from his mental processor so it would stop. "I will be sure to go to your laboratory after turning in my report, then." He answered firmly now that his processor, in its sudden stall, stopped gripping at other systems to cope.
He was really, really not expecting that.
Bowing, he turned, then scurried away, hurrying to his assigned station to submit his report. He would return to Weil's laboratory in a few minutes. Surely he would not be long there, so he would still be able to return to his duties without much delay. Right?
The Future Past
"At ease, your making everyone tense" Weil ordered rigidly as he expression seemed to grow a little annoyed at how nervous the reploid was acting, almost as if he had done something wrong or was acting out of line. And the way everyone seemed to be staring at the two only further added to Weil’s annoyance. "After all, while I may hold some power within the government, I am still only a simple scientist in the employ of the government" He explained as if to try and get Harpuia to calm down.
Listening to Harpuia explain what he was doing he could still pick up more on his nervousness, which caused the young man to sigh a bit “I see, good.” Was his only response to the green armored reploid, but he felt as if he needed to muster a slightly better response to him. “That’s very good, I’m glad you and your siblings are able to do your tasks without hesitation and minimal failure, I’m certain that many are grateful for all the hard work you do” Weil ended as he waited for a response from Harpuia during the long pause they had within the hallway.
Finally after what felt like forever, Harpuia had spoken up again, inquiring if Weil had needed help with anything, which caused his eyebrow to rise slightly “Help? No, no… Not really, my research is progressing as it should as are the other things I’m working on” Weil spoke masking some of the truth in a small lie. With his proposal for Project Elpizo being blocked by the majority in the government again he needed to try and find more concrete prove that pushing the project proposal through and forward would be of great benefit to mankind. “But I do thank you for the offer Harpuia, its very generous of you to wish to help me, despite it being your duty”
Weil was about to dismiss Harpuia, but then a thought came to mind “Hm, I doubt there is anything I can do to help you, but I’ve a bit of spare time…” He began as he folded his arms across his chest “… After you’ve submitted your report, come by my lab, there might be something I can do for you, so take the time to think on the favor I can do for you.”
"Now, I’ve held you long enough, take care of that report Harpuia." He finished waving his hand dismissively at Harpuia stating he could go for now. In truth though he wanted a bit more privacy to see how this one ticked, what drove him, as well as the possible chance to scan Harpuia, seeing as his structure was very close to X’s, it would likely be the only and closest thing to X that he could scan for further research purposes.

Harpuia tried his best to not look as startled as he felt, but it was possibly a wasted effort. After all, he had worn it for much too long, and both of them seemed equally surprised at this... development. Bowing his head a little, Harpuia adjusted his footing as he kept his eyes on the cyberelf before him.
A cyberelf that brought with him too many questions for him to feel comfortable about it.
"I..." He began, trying to find a way to word what he was thinking. He really was not sure, but was that the correct answer? "I was patrolling the perimeter of Neo Arcadia." He finally said with a deflated look, clearly unsure of how else to continue his little narrative. It was, after all, a strange turn of events.
"And then I found myself here." He finished lamely, clearly aware it was too little detail, but it was all he had.
All he could tell Master X... was it?
He might as well ask.
"Is it really you, Master X?"
"How did you find here...?"
It was a simple enough question, really. A simple inquiry that wouldn't have caused too much trouble in most situations. But it held more weight that in likely ought to, as X had to be careful about being in hiding.
He couldn't afford to have his location known by the entirety of Neo Arcadia's people. Hopefully it was a fluke, a mixed coordinate that had lead the Reploid here. X really couldn't have much otherwise.
His face--soft, childish almost--was drawn in an expression of slight worry and confusion. He simply hopes this wouldn't lead to errors and trouble for either of them.

Harpuia nodded carefully at Fefnir. It was true, after all, that he had run into a sandstorm. It was not particularly his favorite weather condition, especially not with what it did to him. The sand in his joints crunched a bit as he stepped into the room, almost like a scared doe, while keeping an even gaze on his siblings.
Their grins were unsettling. Just what was going through their minds? Perhaps it was one of those things he did NOT want to know.
He cracked a sort of slight grin, or at least what he figured was one, at Leviathan's comment about the seaweed, although he was not sure how to respond to Fefnir's taunt
He just wanted no part in this... horseplay. That was how humans called it, correct?
"I am just... not sure if I should get involved on this... 'game' of yours." He phrased himself, carefully, then sighed.
Just what was that game? A battle with water?
"Excuse me." He supposed he was just interrupting... right?

Harpuia surveyed the lay of the desert-esque area as well, peering about once they were out of the shaft. He glanced about, keeping note of the terrain and lay of the area, then looked back to Fefnir in time to see him motion to follow.
Deciding to listen and let Fefnir guide him, as the other was more versed in these matters, the cyberelf did so, nodding to the red ex-Guardian.
He had listened to the other's observation as well, and while he figured Fefnir was right about these things (it was he who strategized, after all), he couldn't help but wonder where Weil's strategies would differ. The man was strange, mad, would it affect how he approached his 'problem'?
He figured they would have to wait and see.
"Alright." He agreed, quietly, then tilted his head slightly. "We should be sure to let them know about potential attacking points too, then, while we are at it."
For now, though, they should explore and keep an eye out for things of notice. Everything could be reported in bulk later.
"Do you want to slowly circle away from the elevator or would you prefer we just split terrain?"
Fefnir was better at charting land.
What's left of one (fefnir-of-neoarcadia & areazero)
The red cyberelf turned to his sibling and followed him through the elevator shaft and back out into the desert. The shaft would lead them in all directions, he noticed, so if they wanted to enter other areas of the base, then they would be able to use it as their guide.
At Harpuia’s question, Fefnir floated forward and surveyed the area. The parametre was rather large for their tiny forms, but the resistance base was fairly small in comparison to, say, Neo Arcadia.
"Hmm…" The ex-guardian floated over to the side of the base to have a look from that area, and noticed it was the side that faced Neo Arcadia, and thus, the area that would likely be hit first.
"We should start from this side, and then circle around the base to see what weak spots need attention, as well as any blind areas," Fefnir spoke, "any enemy forces would hit from this side more than likely, though if it was a sneak attack it’d be from the opposite direction."
He flew over and gestured for Harpuia to follow, “let’s make a list of anything we find on the outskirts. We can use the elevator shaft to go anywhere inside the base, since it seemed to link to everywhere.”

"I... I see." Harpuia replied, a bit surprised at the request, and was therefore unsure of how to answer. At least, at fist. He bowed his head slightly, trying to process the request.
It was, at least, enlightening (and perhaps highly flattering) to hear that Master X cared for them so. It made him feel... important, in a way.
"I am unsure as to how I am feeling. So much has happened, I'm afraid there has been little time to reflect upon it. Regardless, I suppose one could say I am... happy. At least, happy to see you again."
X: Harpuia, It must be weird seeing me like this, But I wished to speak to you. First of, may I know how you been doing? *His voice is soft and careing*
"… Of course, Master X." Harpuia muttered as he bowed, then stepped back slightly as he considered what to say. How WAS he doing?
A quick check through his logs let him know he was running optimally, as optimally as he could anyway.
"I am doing well. Everything is running well, and I feel… decently. Regardless of what has happened lately. I could be worse off, I suppose."
He hoped the answer was proper enough.

Harpuia was not liking this.
He wanted to object to the humans going alone. What if just them and Phoenix was not enough? He was not sure how much stronger their human companions were when on their 'megamerge' with these biometals of theirs. He did not know of their capabilities, and therefore did not want to imply they would not be strong enough to hold their own, but by the same token he was worried.
However, if it was truly something Fefnir and he should not see or know, then it was really the only choice they had. Hope for the best, and that if the humans had handled this 'foe' before, they could do it again.
If it was even the one Aeolus seemed to think of.
He sighed, nodding to Fefnir. "You are right... however much I may dislike this, it will be best if we stay out of this. At least, until what it is has been confirmed." He then turned to the humans. "Survey the scene, then. It is truly the best move we can make at this time."
He was not liking this one bit.
Especially because-
"Of course. We must let the Resistance know." He said in agreement, and rubbed his temples somewhat. Well, what he COULD rub, considering the positioning of his helmet. It was more akin to pinching the bridge of his nose. "If they have a confirmed sighting, it could help us determine what it is."
Ah, he was not liking this at all. The more got involved, the messier this whole ordeal became-
Giving a glance at the map, he nodded at Phoenix, but then shifted a little. "Maybe marking the map presented for good measure would be a good idea." He suggested, loosely, to the animaloid not under his command.

Harpuia, If you could eat human food, what would you eat?
"I am not entirely certain, as I do not really know what is apetizing of human food, what is considered good, and…"
Harpuia gave a pause, trying to find a way to explain it.
"I do not feel comfortable with consuming things that used to be alive."
That was the best way to put it.

"Harpuia, I'm not sure if you are going to the Tumblr prom too. But if you are, would you let me dance with you once?" X asks softly.
"I wasn’t aware there was a… prom." Harpuia started, a bit vexed, then shook his head. "Whoever, if it would please you, I could… give you a dance?"
Well, he supposed it’d be alright, although he had never really danced before. Harpuia had seen it done, however, so he figured he could learn on the go. It looked simple enough…

Harpuia nodded to what Fefnir said, adding his own part to the conversation. "Reploids find it hard to forget as well, although we can compress memories and store them if they take up too much space and are irrelevant. It's a different process of discarding." He supposed that'd sound weird to a human, but he had no other way to word it. However, he hoped at least what he and Fefnir had said would help her grasp the difference between their kind.
"I am, however, glad you are alright." He smiled, softly, in a subconcious way as he kneeled a little to see the child more eye to eye. It seemed she wished to get off, but he wasn't so sure about the girl walking around after such fright. He offered his arms, regardless, to help her down or carry her. "Fefnir also said it was fine... don't worry about it."
He gave a sideways glance at the other reploid, who seemed to be processing data, and looked back to Madotsuki as he suddenly recieved the file and IM from his sibling.
'I.M:
Interesting... I will go over the file once we're done here. Perhaps I can give some insight...' He sent, then refocused on the task at hand.

Harpuia winced at the heap of insults,  but remained rigid in his salute and standing as he took the berating with an almost eerie calm. At least, on the outside. On the inside, he was wondering if he had badly hurt the human, or had done something to warrant such wordings. It seemed, however, that his fears were unneeded, as the man soon apologized and explained his behavior as having a bad day.
Giving a curt nod to show he understood, at least the implications. "Understood, sir...." He said, softly, and slowly dropped his salute, instead standing firm and waiting for orders or whatever it is the human needed of him. "Yes, sir. You are correct." He then affirmed at the query of his designation, then bowed his head a little as he listened to further inquiries, waiting for them all to be done to answer them all at once. It seemed he didn't have to wait long.
Nervously, he raised his gaze to lock with the human's for mere moments before settling his sights back to his feet. "Sir! I was submitting my report, sir!" The reploid answered steadily, not betraying how nervous he was, not yet. "I was on my way to return to my duties." He paused, then considered for a few moments if he should even be asking this.
Deciding it'd be best, he pressed onward. "Do you require my assistance, sir?"
Weil stumbled a bit after his near miss collision with the green armored reploid before him, his rage now at his breaking point Weil literally shouted at the green reploid without another thought of who it was “Watch what you are doing you worthless pile of garbage or I’ll see to it that you are decommissioned before you can even say energen crystal!” Weil spat out as a blood vessel could be seen throbbing on the side of the middle aged man’s head further showing his apparent indignation at what had happened to him earlier.
But after realizing whom it was that he had shouted at he recoiled slightly as his hostile expression changed from one of rage to one of a flat yet still angry expression. “… My apologies.” Weil spoke as he sighed in annouance at the green reploid he immediately recognized as one of the cloned reploids of Megaman X. “I shouldn’t of snapped like that, I’m just having an off day” He explained not bothering to get into detail about why he was so infuriated in the first place.
"… Your designation, it was Harpuia, wasn’t it?" Weil asked flatly as he raised an eyebrow while looking the reploid over, he really did strike a very close resemblance to his original. If it wasn’t for the markings and armor design Weil likely would of mistaken him as X and continued on his angry rant at the reploid.
"And what are you doing here, are you not supposed to be out preforming the job you were created for?" Weil asked as he still couldn’t get over how much the reploid standing before him resembled X, but the thoughts were only starting to cause him a headache and further annoyance, simply BECAUSE Harpuia looked like X. But he pushed the thoughts to the back of his head as he intended to find out what the reploid was doing back here as well as possibly learn a bit more about the X clone.

Send ✿ for a HAPPINESS headcanon.
Harpuia’s happiness stems from doing work and being useful. It’s what he feels he’s made for, and it makes him feel complete even if it tires him out.
However, he also does enjoy having some quiet time among good company to just enjoy being with them after a long day of hard work.
