We are testing our battle UI with the battle backgrounds! Each battle will be the player’s team of three vs what enemies you encounter. Every spirit is different and has their own signature skill. Different elements will specialize in doing different types of damage. So having different spirits available to you is key for winning.

Our game takes place on an alternate earth in a place called Middle City. Most of the tech advances have come within the last 30 years in this world, after a mysterious company started producing life changing devices. Vorthel Corp. 

This is their Guard Captain, Anton Worley. He and his team keep the peace in Middle City.

We have finished a good portion of our tile sets and we are putting them together in a test level!

After Some rebranding and reimagining, Nightown is back as Salt & Sulfur! 

Salt & Sulfur is a Sci fi/Fantasy RPG that takes you across countless dimensions to save the universe.

ENEMIES!

     Enemies are just as important as the main characters, without them there is not a reason to play. They are important assets that can advance the story and with the right touch, can produce some sort of emotional reaction from the player. Whether thats hate for an enemy who has ripped the players life apart or love for a bumbling idiot that can't seem to do their job right. Either way they are necessary to most games, this is especially true in Nightown.      In Nightown you will need to the enemy to get experience to raise the level of your spirits. Will some spirits be enemies? Yes, the majority of the spirits have been desecrated. In fighting them you are freeing them and some, when freed will want to join your cause. Enemies will drop necessary items to complete quests, or that can be bound to spirits to make them stronger. Some will need to be eliminated altogether.        You will not just fight one enemy at a time but two, three, four or more. Sometimes they will be in individual phases and others will be grouped into one. Certain boss fights for example will be in phases not only with enemy, but with the boss itself. Halfway through a fight the boss could trigger a new attack or even an entirely new strategy. Our goal is to keep the enemies varied and challenging so that you, as the player are not bored.

What is Nightown?

Simply put, Nightown is an RPG. It is an RPG that has a dynamic storyline, the kind of story we saw in the games of old. Nightown is a homage to games like Earthbound, Zelda, and Final Fantasy. It takes place in a fictional town, Middleburg, on earth and Nightown, the capital city of an parallel world called Myriad. You will create a player and live through the ever evolving story. Challenges will face you at every turn, puzzles, enemies and secrets will test you, but also reward you for your efforts. You will need every advantage you can get to help you conquer what the world has in store for you. You will have to recruit Myriads inhabitants to fight with you. These range from fire breathing frogs to a disembodied hand that curses its enemies. You will have the ability to make a team from those citizens that have chosen to fight beside you. Helping them grow is the key to success, and we have a variety of items to do just that. Depending on what you do will determine how they grow, but you will have to find that out on your own. You will make mistakes, you will learn, and you won’t make those mistakes again, or maybe you will. Either way, you will end up with a team unique to you. What we are striving to do at Deleted Fragment is to give everyone an epic adventure that will enthrall you for, what we hope, is years to come. We want to build a universe of stories that everyone can enjoy!
