We all know how buster is best friends wiht fang. On a official art we can see buster comforting fang while he looks down on his phone screen all sad. he bropley saw shelly being wiht colt, or got rejected on.

After all buster knows about fangs feelings for shelly, and how shelly would always reject him.
than there is colette, her main crushes are piper and spike. piper is already taken what means that she would reject colett as well.Spike obviously does not like colette back.
Buster would always plan meet ups togheter as friends, wiht colette and fang. Buster would always try to get those 2 togheter since he can't see his own best friend fang sad anymore. And since both are hopeless romance, it makes a good fit
