Every few years that discourse comes up about trans men and lesbians. Whether or not lesbians can be transmasc. Which always baffles me, first of all I’m standing right here babe. Secondly, this is such a small population of people who identify this way that it feels asinine to even have the conversation. Thirdly, for the love of GOD, read Leslie Feinberg I’m begging you. It doesn’t come up often, and I’m not personally offended, I just don’t think it’s up to binary trans men to decide what lesbians are doing. This black and white thinking fucked with my head, and caused me to detransition for a few years. I don’t regret any part of this process, but if I could go back and spare myself the self loathing, I would.

Be nice to each other, lesbians and trans men are on the same team.

You can see where tension clips were affixed to my skin. Super uncomfortable but undeniably effective at making my scars so narrow. Over a month of healing. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is that my mind is clearer. I used to have some low grade disassociation every day. I avoided my chest mentally, and now that I don’t have to anymore I’m noticing that I even did that. I had no idea I was, but I feel set free.
